Marvel Spotlight 1-1

Marvel Spotlight Review

Not technically a comic book, but rather a comic book-sized magazine, this comic is essentially two long interviews, one with Stan Lee, and one with Jack Kirby’s daughter, Lisa. There are a few other sidebar interviews, including one with Mark Evanier about Kirby to supplement the material. The interviews, and the art, were both fun, and it is well and slickly produced, but paying $2.99 for two interviews did a lot to promote Marvel material ( to be fair, there are a few other articles included, but other than the two page Simon/Kirby article, not one of any meat) that unless you are a Stan Lee completist, I cannot recommend this. This is one of the few comics I would recommend reading in the store.
