ComicHub June 2025 Top 100 Graphic Novels Sales Chart
Top 10
Based on historical numbers from the Comichron as well as projections through April 2022, the titles in the numbers 1-10 range typically sell in the 11,000-3,000 unit range.
DC Comics placed five volumes in the Top 10. All five volumes were DC Compact Comics.
It was all old comics that saved the day for DC Comics. There was zero interest in anything new from DC Comics or anything within the past five years in the Top 10. Kingdom Come is from twenty-nine years ago. Superman: Birthright and Batman: Hush are both from twenty-three years ago. All-Star Superman is from twenty years ago.
Image Comics took second place with three volumes in the Top 10.
All three volumes for Image Comics were from the Hasbro franchise. No surprise there.
Scholastic and Marvel Comics tied for third place with one volume apiece in the Top 10.
Marvel’s sole volume in the Top 10 was Fantastic Four Solve Everything from twenty-seven years ago. Yikes. That is an ugly showing in the Top 10.
DC Comics romped Marvel Comics in the Top 10 thanks to their older comic stories and the new DC Compact Comics series.
Top 25
Based on historical numbers from the Comichron as well as projections through April 2022, the titles in the numbers 11-25 range typically sell in the 3,000 to 2,000 unit range.
DC Comics and Image Comics tied for first place with nine volumes apiece in the Top 25.
Eight of DC Comics’ nine volumes were from the DC Compact Comics line.
Once again, old comics carried the day for DC Comics in the Top 25. The Authority is from twenty-six years ago. Batwoman Elegy is from sixteen years ago. Batman: Court of Owls is from ten years ago.
Seven of DC Comics’ eight volumes in the Top 25 were between ten and twenty-nine years old. The sole DC Comics volume from the past five years in the Top 25 was Nice House by the Sea Vol. 1 from a year ago.
Eight of Image Comics’ nine volumes were from the Hasbro franchise, the Invincible franchise, and the Ghost Machine franchise. Five volumes were from the Hasbro Franchise. Two volumes were from the Invincible franchise. One volume was from the Ghost Machine franchise.
Marvel Comics took a distant third place with four volumes in the Top 25. Ouch. DC Comics beat the stuffing out of Marvel Comics in the Top 25 thanks to their DC Compact Comics line. Speaking of DC Compact Comics, Marvel Comics’ answer in the form of the Marvel Premier Collection did not perform as well. Only one volume of Marvel Comics’ four volumes was from the Marvel Premier Collection.
On the other hand, there is far more consumer interest in more modern Marvel Comics stories than in DC Comics. Ultimate Spider-Man Vol. 1: Married With Children is from a year ago. It’s Jeff: Jeff-Verse is from two years ago. Ultimate X-Men by Peach Momoko Vol. 2 Children of the Atom is from a year ago. This means that three of Marvel Comics’ four volumes in the Top 25 are from the past two years. DC Comics wished they had that kind of success with their modern comics from the past five years.
IDW Publishing took fourth place with two volumes in the Top 25.
Scholastic took fifth place with one volume in the Top 25.
Top 50
Based on historical numbers from the Comichron as well as projections through April 2022, the titles in the numbers 26-50 range typically sell in the 1,900 to 1,000 unit range.
Image Comics took first place with eighteen volumes in the Top 50. How about that? Image Comics was able to surge past the Big Two in the Top 50. Very impressive.
To no surprise, the Habro Franchise, Invincible franchise, Spawn franchise, and Ghost Machine accounted for thirteen of the eighteen Image Comics volumes in the Top 50. Eight volumes were from the Hasbro franchise. Three volumes were from the Invincible franchise. One volume was from the Ghost Machine franchise. One volume was from the Spawn franchise.
Marvel Comics mounted a furious comeback and grabbed second place with thirteen volumes in the Top 50. Again, Marvel Comics enjoyed more success with their modern comics from the past five years. Only two volumes of Marvel Comics’ thirteen volumes were from twenty-three years ago. Eleven volumes were from the past five years. Marvel continues to generate much more consumer interest in their modern comics than DC Comics.
DC Comics fell to third place with eleven volumes in the Top 50. The Watchmen from forty years ago finally clocked into the Top 50. Ten of DC Comics’ eleven volumes were published between ten and forty years ago. Only one volume out of DC Comics’ eleven volumes is from the past five years. This is a terrible sign as it points to DC Comics’ failure to engage consumers in anything they have done since 2020.
The DC Compact Comics line accounted for ten of DC Comics’ thirteen volumes in the Top 50.
IDW Publishing came in fourth place with three volumes in the Top 50.
Dark Horse slotted in fifth place with two volumes in the Top 50.
BOOM! Studios, Scholastic, and William Morrow tied for sixth place with one volume apiece in the Top 50.
Top 75
Based on historical numbers from the Comichron as well as projections through April 2022, the titles in the numbers 51-75 range typically sell in the 1,000 to 900 unit range.

The Habro Franchise, Invincible franchise, Spawn franchise, and Ghost Machine accounted for fifteen of the twenty-two Image Comics volumes in the Top 75. Eight volumes were from the Hasbro franchise. Four volumes were from the Invincible franchise. Two volumes were from the Ghost Machine franchise. One volume was from the Spawn franchise.
Marvel Comics continued to narrow the gap and took a close second place with twenty volumes in the Top 75. Again, Marvel Comics enjoyed more success with their modern comics from the past five years. Only five volumes of Marvel Comics’ twenty volumes were published between seven and thirty-seven years ago. Fifteen volumes were from the past five years.
DC Comics took third place with seventeen volumes in the Top 75.
Fourteen of DC Comics’ seventeen volumes were published between ten and fifty-five years ago. Only three volumes out of DC Comics’ seventeen volumes are from the past five years. More troubling signs for DC Comics, with consumers being uninterested in their modern offerings over the past five years.
The DC Compact Comics line accounted for twelve of DC Comics’ seventeen volumes in the Top 75.
Dark Horse Comics took fourth place with six volumes in the Top 75.
IDW Publishing and BOOM! Studios tied for fifth place, each with three volumes, in the Top 75.
Scholastic, William Morrow, Yen Press, and Seven Seas Entertainment tied for seventh place with one volume apiece in the Top 75.
Top 100
Based on historical numbers from the Comichron as well as projections through April 2022, the titles in the numbers 76-100 range typically sell in the 900 to 700 unit range.
Marvel Comics bulldozed ahead and took first place with twenty-six volumes in the Top 100. Again, Marvel Comics enjoyed more success with their modern comics from the past five years. Only nine volumes of Marvel Comics’ twenty-six volumes were published between seven and forty years ago. Seventeen volumes were from the past five years.
