Okay, this is just ridiculous. Twenty titles are headed our way to the Bunker today. There is just no reason that I should be getting that many comic books. I am clearly a junkie and have no willpower to limit what titles I read. And what is crazy is how insanely Marvel heavy this week is. Fifteen titles are from the House of Ideas. I think Joey Q needs to send me some swag as a thank you for being such an addict and supporting Marvel in such a fashion despite the poor economy.
Which DC comic book am I most looking forward to reading? Well, there is not much to choose from since I am only getting three titles from DC this week. I have to go with Detective Comics #853. I thoroughly enjoyed the first part of Gaiman’s story in Batman #686. I expect this issue to give us an exciting ending to Gaiman’s tale.
Which DC comic book am I least looking forward to reading? That would be Trinity #47. Luckily, the end is almost here.
Which Marvel comic book am I most looking forward to reading? It is impossible to pick just one comic book from Marvel this week. We are getting plenty of excellent reads from the House of Ideas this week. Really, Marvel is spoiling us today. Daredevil #118 should be a great read. I am looking forward to Brubaker’s swan song on this title. And seeing Daredevil and Kingpin teaming up together should be entertaining.
I am curious to check out Fantastic Force #1. I liked these super heroes from the future when we saw them over in Millar’s Nu-world story arc on Fantastic Four. I am completely unfamiliar with the writer, Joe Ahearne. Hopefully, he can do as good a job with these characters as Millar did.
Incredible Hercules #128 should be another enjoyable read. This is one of my pet titles that always makes me grin when I read it.
I am certainly looking forward to reading Kick-Ass #6. I am curious to learn more about Hit-Girl and Big Daddy.
However, the Marvel comic book that I am most looking forward to reading is Guardians of the Galaxy #13. This is a War of Kings tie-in issue so I expect this to be an action packed and lively read.
Which Marvel comic book am I least looking forward to reading? That would be New Avengers #52. I wonder if anything will actually happen in this issue. You know, like actual plot development and progression. Watching paint dry is a faster paced and more exciting experience then reading New Avengers.
