We are getting a nice sized shipment of comic books headed to the Bunker today. We are getting a total of 15 titles. This week is very heavy with DC comics.
Which DC comic book am I most looking forward to reading? There are several quality reads headed our way from DC comics. I am looking forward to Nightwing #150 which concludes the Two-Face story arc. Tomasi has done a quality job with this story arc and I fully expect to get an exciting finish with this issue.
I am also excited to read Detective Comics #850 as Dini puts a bow on the Hush story arc. This has been an entertaining story and I am curious to see what Dini has in store for Batman, Catwoman and Hush with this issue.
However, the DC comic book that I am most looking forward to reading is Action Comics #871. Johns and Robinson have gotten me completely hooked on the New Krypton story. Evidently, this issue is going to bring us the debut of the new Nightwing and Flamebird.
Which DC comic book am I least looking forward to reading? My enthusiasm for Trinity #24 has gradually cooled as this story has progressed. Trinity is not a terrible read; it is just a remarkably average read.
However, the DC comic book that I am least looking forward to reading is Titans #7. This title continues to be an absolute train wreck. I get the feeling that Winick has absolutely no master plan for this title. I am curious to see how long DC will let Winick fumble around with this comic book before they decide to make a switch at the writer position. There is no reason for a comic book starring the all-star Teen Titans line-up to be this poor of a read.
Which Marvel comic book am I least looking forward to reading? That would be Amazing Spider-Man #577. This title continues to be nothing more than an average read at best. And with the constantly spinning carrousel at the writer’s position Amazing Spider-Man is an unpredictable title.
