HIGHLIGHTS OF TRANSFORMERS #23

Megatron & Starscream’s Dynamic Speaks To Current State Of The Decepticons

The interactions between Megatron and Starscream says a lot about the state of the Decepticons. There is a different vibe to the Decepticons now that Megatron is back and fully asserting his leadership on the villain group. It drives home why Megatron stands above all Transformers villains. His dominating presence is always felt, even when he is not on screen. Things are just different now with Megatron back and we see that with everything that goes on in Transformers #23

Autobots Crucial Decision

It is no secret that the Autobots have been pushed like never before. It just seems like they can never catch a break. Which is why the decisions the Autobots have to make throughout Transformers #23 will grab your attention so much. From the fate of Optimus Prime to the ongoing war with the Decepticons, there is no time to rest for the Autobots. Optimus Prime being in the state he is in increases the tension with everything the Autobots and humans have to do. That leads to wondering what the results of the decisions being made will be.

Human Characters Importance

When it comes to Transformer stories fans mostly want to see the latest conflict the Autobots and Decepticons find themselves in. The humans are just there and have become known for bringing stories down. It’s why the way Daniel Warren Johnson has found to make the human cast members so important even more impressive. They aren’t in the way. It’s the opposite. The humans that appear in this issue are as important as the Autobots and Decepticons.

Artwork Delivers On Transformers Being A Giant Spectacle

Jorge Corona is on his A+ game throughout Transformers #23. This is honestly the best issue of Transformers that Corona has drawn thus far. Everything from the action to the character focus moments’ hits as intended. Corona does a particularly great job at capturing the range of dramatic tension there is in this issue. Depending on the characters involved the vibe around what is spoken or acted on is different. It helps to get over what makes this series so distinct.

WHAT DIDN’T WORK IN TRANSFORMERS #23

Nothing!

FINAL THOUGHTS

Transformers #23 sets the stage for the finale of Daniel Warren Johnson and Jorge Corona to be as epic as it could possibly be. The dramatic tension is off the charts as important decisions are made by both the Autobots and Decepticons. The difference in where each side helps add greater anticipation to find out how this story will end.
