It looks like The Revolution is getting another good sized shipment of comic books headed to the Bunker today. We have a total of 9 titles for this week. It is pretty balanced between Marvel and DC this week. As always, I’ll try to post as many reviews as possible.

Which DC comic book am I most looking forward to reading? That is easy. Countdown #46. This title has been an absolute blast to read. I think that I’m actually enjoying this title a bit more than I enjoyed 52.

Which DC comic book am I least looking forward to reading? Trials of Shazam #7. Winick has thrown out several real clunkers in a row on this title. This story is rather shallow and a bit too cheesy for my taste.

Which Marvel comic book am I most looking forward to reading? World War Hulk #1. C’mon, it is the Hulk doing what he does best. Destroying the world in a mindless rampage. I haven’t read Hulk since I was a little kid. I’m interested to see how Marvel handles this World War Hulk storyline.

Which Marvel comic book am I least looking forward to reading? Tough choice. Punisher War Journal #8 or New Avengers #31. Punisher War Journal has been an absolutely abysmal read the past couple of issues. On the other hand, I have only enjoyed one issue of the New Avengers (#26) since New Avengers #18. That is a long stretch to go without being impressed with the quality of writing.

I’m going to have to go with New Avengers #31. The fact that the cover of New Avengers is a lame rip-off of the classic scene where Bullseye killed Electra is enough to boost the New Avengers past Punisher War Journal.

I’ll try my best to start posting reviews as soon as possible. I hope everyone enjoys their new comic books for this week.
