Top Comic Book Moments For November 2019

November is coming to a close and it was another month that delivered big, cool moments from the world of comic books. Comics like Absolute Carnage and Batman brought big events full circle with big dramatic events that could shake up the world. We also saw Captain Marvel make a turn to the dark side and how that would turn out for the Avengers. Other comics like Spider-Man, X-Men, Justice League and Mighty Morphin Power Rangers delivered moments to get fans talking. Let’s take a look at all these and more moments from the comic book world that took place in November 2019.

ABSOLUTE CARNAGE #5

You don’t get more anime in a comic book than having Eddie Brock creating a Venom broadsword to kill Carnage. That is the Spirit Bomb moment Absolute Carnage had to end on.

AMAZING MARY JANE #2

Mysterio reminding everyone that no villain can do a more dramatic villain rant than him. He has all the flair required to make it a villainous rant look over-the-top.

AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #34

Spider-Man 2099 confirming that the 2099 timeline is the future of Earth-616 gives greater importance to that future of the Marvel Universe. It is also a reminder how all of Marvel’s events not only make Marvel’s comic line to switch directions but also the direction of the future within their own universe.

BATMAN #82

Catwoman may not have been around for a few months but that does not mean that Gotham City stopped being her city. She is reminding Bane of that fact now.

Seeing Bruce Wayne completely breakdown as he hears the final message that Alfred Pennyworth left him is a heartbreaking visual. Even while wearing his Batman costume you can see how much pain and anguish Bruce is going through.

Gotta love how no matter how much he tries Spider-Man cannot turn Black Cat down when she asks for help. He has to keep up being the Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man.

It was established early by Zordon that the Power Rangers aren’t allowed to use their Zords or Megazord unless the battle escalates to that point. No one gave that memo to the Omega Rangers as they just used their Zords to take out Lord Zedd with one punch.

The death of Charles Xavier had a lot of moments in the lead up, especially since we didn’t see him get shot, only the aftermath. But this page showing Jean Grey, Wolverine and Beast rushing to get to Xavier showed how desperate the X-Men were to save their mentor perfectly.

Only Magneto would think to turn the broken Cerebro that Charles Xavier was wearing when he got shot and killed into a weapon. Wonder if whoever wields the Sword of Cerebro will be the chosen one for the X-Men.

Nothing like some quality time with your kids to remind Cyclops why Rachel Grey and Cable aren’t put on the same X-Men team normally. At least he knows how to get his kids focused on what is in front of them.
