I missed out on the first 4 issues of this series. Fortunately, the author wrote this story so you could pick up the plot without reading the earlier issues.

Air deals with air travel, terrorism, a new fuel source, and a steam punk type alternate world.

When I read the explanation of the “Hyperprax Engine”, I thought of Grant Morrison. It utilizes ancient Aztec theories that technology is a form of symbolism. Their theory was if you could build a machine that treated the world as a series of symbols, you could move from one place to another by interpreting the symbols.

One corporation creates a flying machine that utilizes this technology. Other groups want to steal it. The story follows one of the people with the ability to pilot this craft.

The art and story has an European feel to it. If you are looking for something different to read, I recommend picking up Air.
