Issue #0 is a good introduction to the Dynamo 5 team. Faerber has created an interesting back story. When Captain Dynamo is killed, his wife finds out that he fooled around with other women. She gathers together 5 of his off spring to form Dynamo 5.
In this issue, a think tank that specializes in super-powers has developed a super suit. Unfortunately, the janitor steals it and takes it for a test run.
The team is dispatched to take him down. It was interesting to see the team does make mistakes. They each seem to want to take the villain on by themselves. Captain Dynamo’s wife is the coordinator from their base. She comes up with a solution that the team does not think of.
The teaser on the last page (the return of a former villain) is enough to bring me back for future issues.
Recommended for readers looking for a new team book to read. Faerber also writes another good team book (Noble Causes). As it is finishing up, it is reassuring to have Dynamo 5 appearing on the shelves. This is another book that I need to go back and pick up the previous issues.
