The most recent issue of G.I. JOE did not end with Baroness and Cover Girl becoming BFFs. The opposite really, as Major Bludd, with Raptor’s help, captured Baroness and Cover Girl and forced them to fight one another. Skybound and Image Comics has provided us with a first look at what will happen with Baroness and Cover Girl in this situation with a preview of G.I. JOE #10.
As mentioned, G.I. JOE #10 will be headlined by the continuation of Baroness vs Cover Girl. But that is not the only thing that is being teased for the August issue. There are other things going on as Cobra Commander’s power is being tested not by the JOEs but someone from within his ranks. That is all teased in the solicitation for the upcoming issue:

Helmed by the top-tier creative team of writer Joshua Williamson (Duke, Cobra Commander), artist Andrea Milana (Cobra Commander), colorist Lee Loughridge (Universal Monsters: The Mummy), and letterer Rus Wooton (Transformers), the next issue of the comic book introducing a bold new vision of G.I. Joe and Cobra to the Energon Universe lands in comic book shops on August 20, 2025.

In addition to the main cover by Tom Reilly, G.I. JOE #10 will feature an open-to-order variant cover by Andrea Milana, the continuation of the 1:10 incentive connecting cover series by Alan Quah, a 1:25 incentive variant by Lucas Meyer & Adriano Lucas, and a 1:50 incentive variant by Homare.
G.I. JOE is a tentpole of the Energon Universe, the crown jewel of the historic collaboration between Hasbro and Skybound, who has introduced a brand-new era of the TRANSFORMERS and G.I. JOE franchises in one shared comic book universe.
