It is time to check out the July 2025 comic book sales rankings. Things are getting murkier in terms of actual unit numbers. So, we must settle for going to ICv2 for their Top 200 sales rankings. It is not as good as actual unit numbers, but we must work with what we get.
Keep in mind that the Top 200 sales rankings are based on sales tracked at point-of-sale by the ComicHub system at over 125 local comic book shops selling American comics. These sales rankings represent sales to consumers by local comic shops.
We all know that these ICv2 sales charts based on the ComicHub system are not the best. However, as long as publishers hide their sales statistics, this is the best that we have to go by. You do see that these sales charts give a rough sketch of the market because titles that get canceled correspond with low sales rankings in these ComicHub charts. I wish we had better data to analyze, but we have to make do with whatever data we have these days.
The data for the July 2025 comic book sales rankings was collected based on a four-week month, from July 6 to August 2, 2025.
You can go over to ICv2 and check out the Top 50 for July 2025 for free, or opt for a pro membership (It is well worth the money) and get the Top 200 for July 2025 and then come back here for a detailed analysis of the July 2025 comic book sales rankings!

July 2025 Top 200 Comic Book Sales Rankings
The Battle for the Top 10
DC Comics stormed to the front, taking first place in the Top 10 for the first time in forever. DC Comics placed six comics in the Top 10. Month-over-month sales were up from the three comics that DC Comics had in the Top 10 in June 2025.
Year-over-year numbers were up, as DC Comics had zero comics in the Top 10 in July 2024.
Numbers were up from two years ago, as DC Comics had three comics in the Top 10 in July 2023.
Numbers were up from three years ago, as DC Comics had two comics in the Top 10 in July 2022.
To no surprise, five of the six DC Comics titles in the Top 10 were from the Absolute Universe franchise.
Marvel Comics took a distant second place with three comics in the Top 10. Month-over-month sales were down by a wide margin from the seven comics that Marvel Comics had in the Top 10 in June 2025.
Year-over-year numbers were down as Marvel Comics had eight comics in the Top 10 in July 2024.
Numbers were down from two years ago, as Marvel Comics had seven comics in the Top 10 in July 2023.
Numbers were down from three years ago, as Marvel Comics had eight comics in the Top 10 in July 2022.
Marvel Comics took a real kick to the balls in the Top 10 by posting the worst Top 10 finish we have seen in years.
Image Comics took third place with one comic in the Top 10. Month-over-month sales were up from the zero comics that Image Comics had in the Top 10 in June 2025.
Year-over-year numbers were flat, as Image Comics had one comic in the Top 10 in July 2024.
Numbers were up from two years ago, as Image Comics had zero comics in the Top 10 in July 2023.
Numbers were up from three years ago, as Image Comics had zero comics in the Top 10 in July 2022.
Invincible Universe Battle Beast #3 climbed from the number 13 spot to the number 9 spot. This is an impressive showing for the third issue of this title.
The Battle for the Top 25
Based on historical numbers from the Comichron as well as projections through April 2022, the titles in the numbers 11-25 range typically sell in the 65,000 to 50,000 unit range.
Marvel Comics came roaring back like the Patriots in Super Bowl LI and snatched first place with thirteen comics in the Top 25. Month-over-month sales were down from the fifteen comics that Marvel Comics had in the Top 25 in June 2025.
Year-over-year numbers were down, as Marvel Comics had seventeen comics in the Top 25 in July 2024.
Numbers were down from two years ago, as Marvel Comics had sixteen comics in the Top 25 in July 2023.
Numbers were down from three years ago, as Marvel Comics had fifteen comics in the Top 25 in July 2022.
The positive is that Marvel Comics staged a massive rebound in the Top 25 to take first place. Marvel Comics annihilated DC Comics by a score of 10-2 between spots 11 and 25. However, the crushing bad news is that Marvel Comics’ numbers in the Top 25 were down across the board over the past three years. Marvel Comics has some work to do to rebuild itself to its former glory in the Top 25.
DC Comics took second place with eight comics in the Top 25. Month-over-month sales were flat compared to the eight comics that DC Comics had in the Top 25 in June 2025.
Year-over-year numbers were up, as DC Comics had five comics in the Top 25 in July 2024.
Numbers were flat from two years ago, as DC Comics had eight comics in the Top 25 in July 2023.
Numbers were flat from three years ago, as DC Comics had eight comics in the Top 25 in July 2022.
Five of the eight titles from DC Comics were from the Absolute Universe franchise. The fact that Marvel Comics crushed DC Comics by a score of 10-2 in the number 11 to 25 range shows how DC Comics has little else outside of the Absolute Universe that can successfully compete in the Top 25.
It is also discouraging that DC Comics is still performing the same in the Top 25 as it was two years ago and three years ago. Especially since we were all worried about how poorly DC Comics was performing in 2022 and 2023.
Image Comics placed three comics in the Top 25. Month-over-month sales were up from the two comics that Image Comics had in the Top 25 in June 2025.
Year-over-year numbers were up, as Image Comics had two comics in the Top 25 in July 2024.
Numbers were up from two years ago, as Image Comics had zero comics in the Top 25 in July 2023.
Numbers were up from three years ago, as Image Comics had two comics in the Top 25 in July 2022.
IDW Publishing placed one comic in the Top 25. Month-over-month sales were up from the zero comics that IDW Publishing had in the Top 25 in June 2025.
Year-over-year numbers were up, as IDW Publishing had zero comics in the Top 25 in July 2024.
Numbers were up from two years ago, as IDW Publishing had zero comics in the Top 25 in July 2023.
Numbers were up from three years ago, as IDW Publishing had zero comics in the Top 25 in July 2022.
The Battle for the Top 50
Based on historical numbers from the Comichron as well as projections through April 2022, the titles in the numbers 26-50 range typically sell in the 49,000 to 30,000 unit range.
Marvel Comics placed twenty-seven comics in the Top 50. Month-over-month sales were down from the thirty-one comics that Marvel Comics had in the Top 50 in June 2025.
Year-over-year numbers were up, as Marvel Comics had twenty-six comics in the Top 50 in July 2024.
Numbers were down from two years ago, as Marvel Comics had thirty-one comics in the Top 50 in July 2023.
Numbers were down from three years ago, as Marvel Comics had twenty-nine comics in the Top 50 in July 2022.
We see more bad news for Marvel Comics as they are down compared to three years ago and down by an even wider margin compared to two years ago. Marvel Comics is still winning the battle for the Top 50, but by a smaller margin.
DC Comics took a distant second place with fourteen comics in the Top 50. Month-over-month sales were up from the twelve comics that DC Comics had in the Top 50 in June 2025.
Year-over-year numbers were up, as DC Comics had thirteen comics in the Top 50 in July 2024.
Numbers were down from two years ago, as DC Comics had fifteen comics in the Top 50 in July 2023.
Numbers were flat from three years ago, as DC Comics had fourteen comics in the Top 50 in July 2022.
While DC Comics’ Top 10 performance has massively improved due to the Absolute Universe franchise, we see that there is little improvement in the Top 50. DC Comics is just slightly better than a year ago, actually doing worse compared to two years ago and flat compared to three years ago.
Top 10 performance is important, but Top 50 performance speaks to long-term success and the depth and diversity of the number of successful franchises. DC Comics is still struggling in this area.
Image Comics came in third place with four comics in the Top 50. Month-over-month sales were flat from the four comics that Image Comics had in the Top 50 in June 2025.
Year-over-year numbers were down, as Image Comics had five comics in the Top 50 in July 2024.
Numbers were up from two years ago, as Image Comics had two comics in the Top 50 in July 2023.
Numbers were flat from three years ago, as Image Comics had four comics in the Top 50 in July 2022.
IDW Publishing placed three comics in the Top 50. Month-over-month sales were up compared to the two comics that IDW Publishing had in the Top 50 in June 2025.
Year-over-year numbers were up, as IDW Publishing had two comics in the Top 50 in July 2024.
Numbers were up from two years ago, as IDW Publishing had one comic in the Top 50 in July 2023.
Numbers were up from three years ago, as IDW Publishing had zero comics in the Top 50 in July 2022.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #10 climbed from the number 40 spot to the number 29 spot.
Archie Comics placed one comic in the Top 50. Month-over-month sales were up from the zero comics that Archie Comics had in the Top 50 in June 2025.
Archie Meets Jay and Silent Bob #1 had a nice debut, taking the number 42 spot. I am surprised there are that many Jay and Silent Bob fans still around and interested in buying this one-shot.
Bad Idea placed one comic in the Top 50. Month-over-month sales were up from the zero comics that Bad Idea had in the Top 50 in June 2025.
Planet Death #1 had a great debut at the number 48 spot. This is the first time I have seen a Bad Idea comic book in the sales chart. Of course, the fact that Planet Death is from the incredibly popular creator of John Wick would explain the strong debut number.
The Battle for the Top 75
Based on historical numbers from the Comichron as well as projections through April 2022, the titles in the numbers 51-75 range typically sell in the 29,000 to 25,000 unit range.
Marvel Comics placed thirty-seven comics in the Top 75. Month-over-month sales were down from the forty-three comics that Marvel Comics had in the Top 75 in June 2025.
Year-over-year numbers were down, as Marvel Comics had forty comics in the Top 75 in July 2024.
Numbers were down from two years ago, as Marvel Comics had thirty-eight comics in the Top 75 in July 2023.
Numbers were down from three years ago, as Marvel Comics had forty-six comics in the Top 75 in July 2022.
The bad news gets even worse for Marvel Comics in the Top 75. The numbers are down by a wide margin compared to two years ago and three years ago. Marvel Comics has sustained a huge loss of market share in the Top 75.
DC Comics placed twenty-seven comics in the Top 75. Month-over-month sales were up from the twenty-three comics that DC Comics had in the Top 75 in June 2025.
Year-over-year numbers were up, as DC Comics had eighteen comics in the Top 75 in July 2024.
Numbers were up from two years ago, as DC Comics had twenty-five comics in the Top 75 in July 2023.
Numbers were up from three years ago, as DC Comics had nineteen comics in the Top 75 in July 2022.
The good news for DC Comics is that they are up in sales in the Top 75 across the board. The Absolute Universe is keeping this arrow pointed up.
Image Comics placed six comics in the Top 75. Month-over-month sales were up from the five comics that Image Comics had in the Top 75 in June 2025.
Year-over-year numbers were down, as Image Comics had ten comics in the Top 75 in July 2024.
Numbers were flat from two years ago, as Image Comics had six comics in the Top 75 in July 2023.
Numbers were down from three years ago, as Image Comics had seven comics in the Top 75 in July 2022.
You can see how the Hasbro franchise cooling off has negatively impacted Image Comics in the Top 75 compared to a year ago.
IDW Publishing placed three comics in the Top 75. Month-over-month sales were up from the two comics that IDW Publishing had in the Top 75 in June 2025.
Year-over-year numbers were up, as IDW Publishing had two comics in the Top 75 in July 2024.
Numbers were flat from two years ago, as IDW Publishing had three comics in the Top 75 in July 2023.
Numbers were up from three years ago, as IDW Publishing had zero comics in the Top 75 in July 2022.
Archie Comics placed one comic in the Top 75. Month-over-month sales were up from the zero comics that Archie Comics had in the Top 75 in June 2025.
Bad Idea placed one comic in the Top 75. Month-over-month sales were up from the zero comics that Bad Idea had in the Top 75 in June 2025.
The Battle for the Top 100
Based on historical numbers from the Comichron as well as projections through April 2022, the titles in the numbers 76-100 range typically sell in the 24,000 to 18,000 unit range.
Marvel Comics placed fifty-one comics in the Top 100. Month-over-month sales were down from the fifty-eight comics that Marvel Comics had in the Top 100 in June 2025.
Year-over-year numbers were flat, as Marvel Comics had fifty-one comics in the Top 100 in July 2024.
Numbers were down from two years ago, as Marvel Comics had fifty-four comics in the Top 100 in July 2023.
Numbers were down from three years ago, as Marvel Comics had fifty-eight comics in the Top 100 in July 2022.
The bad news continues for Marvel Comics as it has lost market share in the Top 100 compared to two years and three years ago.
DC Comics placed thirty-five comics in the Top 100. Month-over-month sales were up from the thirty comics that DC Comics had in the Top 100 in June 2025.
Year-over-year numbers were up, as DC Comics had twenty-four comics in the Top 100 in July 2024.
Numbers were up from two years ago, as DC Comics had thirty comics in the Top 100 in July 2023.
Numbers were up from three years ago, as DC Comics had twenty-seven comics in the Top 100 in July 2022.
We see more good news for DC Comics as it has increased its market share by a wide margin compared to a year, two years, and three years ago.
Image Comics placed eight comics in the Top 100. Month-over-month sales were flat from the eight comics that Image Comics had in the Top 100 in June 2025.
Year-over-year numbers were down, as Image Comics had fourteen comics in the Top 100 in July 2024.
Numbers were flat from two years ago, as Image Comics had eight comics in the Top 100 in July 2023.
Numbers were down from three years ago, as Image Comics had nine comics in the Top 100 in July 2022.
Image Comics’ performance in the Top 100 is down significantly compared to a year ago, when the Habsro franchise was a major success.
IDW Publishing placed three comics in the Top 100. Month-over-month sales were up/down/flat from the two comics that IDW Publishing had in the Top 100 in June 2025.
Year-over-year numbers were up, as IDW Publishing had two comics in the Top 100 in July 2024.
Numbers were flat from two years ago, as IDW Publishing had three comics in the Top 100 in July 2023.
Numbers were up from three years ago, as IDW Publishing had one comic in the Top 100 in July 2022.
Archie Comics placed one comic in the Top 100. Month-over-month sales were up from the zero comics that Archie Comics had in the Top 100 in June 2025.
Bad Idea placed one comic in the Top 100. Month-over-month sales were up from the zero comics that Bad Idea had in the Top 100 in June 2025.
Vault Comics had one comic in the Top 100. Month-over-month sales were up from the zero comics that Vault Comics had in the Top 100 in June 2025.
Big Rig #1 had a solid debut at the number 88 spot. It is a rare day to see an issue from Vault Comics in the Top 100. This new title is from Post Malone, which is certainly the reason that this debut issue scored so high. Personally, I think Post Malone is kind of a dipshit who makes lame music. So, his name was not a selling point for me. But I fully acknowledge that I am in the minority, and Malone has big celebrity power that will attract readers to this title.
The Joshua Williamson Award For The Writer With The Most Titles In The Top 50
Five writers had two issues from different titles in the Top 50.
Jonathan Hickman had two issues with Ultimate Spider-Man #19 at number 13 and Imperial #2 at number 16.
Mark Waid had two issues with New History of the DC Universe #2 at number 21 and Justice League Unlimited #9 at number 25.
Kelly Thompson had two issues with Absolute Wonder Woman #10 at number 6 and It’s Jeff: Jeff The Landshark #2 at number 27.
Joshua Williamson had two issues with GI Joe #9 at number 32 and Superman #28 at number 33.
Tim Seeley had two issues with Marvel Swimsuit Special: Friends, Foes & Rivals #1 at number 9 and Godzilla (Kai-Sei Era) #1 at number 47.
Two writers had three issues from two different titles in the Top 50.
Gail Simone had three issues with Uncanny X-Men #17 at number 12, Uncanny X-Men #18 at number 22, and Justice League Unlimited #9 at number 25
Joe Kelly had three issues with Amazing Spider-Man #8 at number 15, Amazing Spider-Man #7 at number 30, and Predator: Black, White & Blood #1 at number 46.
However, two writers did even better with three issues from three different titles in the Top 50.

Deniz Camp had three issues with Absolute Martian Manhunter #5 at number 10, Ultimate Spider-Man Incursion #2 at number 11, and Ultimates #14 at number 26.
It is time for a tie-breaker!
Aaron averaged the number 23 spot.
Camp averaged the number 16 spot.
Therefore, the winner of the Joshua Williamson Award for July 2025 is…Deniz Camp!

153 Nightwing 2025 Annual #1 (One-Shot) (DC Comics)
197 Flash Bad Moon Rising Special #1 (One-Shot) (DC Comics)
As usual, we will deal with most of these various issues in their respective franchise sections below.
Marvel Swimsuit Special: Friends, Foes & Rivals #1 blew away expectations and debuted at the number 9 spot. That is amazing! I did not expect this strong a debut number. I love that Marvel Comics rolled out a swimsuit issue! I am sure all the puritanical activists on social media simultaneously had their heads explode over the rage of this issue being published. I love it. Numbers don’t lie, people. Readers love a swimsuit special!
Marvel Swimsuit Special: Friends, Foes & Rivals #1 was a fun issue. Some of the swimsuit splashots were pretty good. However, the art was nowhere near as good as what you got from swimsuit issues from the past. That is more of a commentary on the type of artists that Marvel Comics employs these days, more than anything else.
Big Events
Imperial
16 Imperial #2 (Marvel Comics)
Imperial had zero comics in the Top 10, one comic in the Top 25, and one comic in the Top 50. This was worse than June 2025, when Imperial had one comic in the Top 10, one comic in the Top 25, and one comic in the Top 50.
Imperial #2 fell from the number 4 spot to the number 16 spot.
Hasbro Franchise
14 Transformers #22
32 GI Joe #9
71 Void Rivals #21
The Hasbro franchise had zero comics in the Top 10, one comic in the Top 25, and two comics in the Top 50. This was better than June 2025, when the Hasbro franchise had zero comics in the Top 10, one comic in the Top 25, and one comic in the Top 50.
Year-over-year numbers were worse as the Hasbro franchise had one comic in the Top 10, two comics in the Top 25, and three comics in the Top 50 in July 2024.
Transformers #22 ticked up from the number 18 spot to the number 14 spot. This title has sold outside of the Top 10 since March 2025. It looks like this once-powerhouse selling comic cannot muscle its way past the various Absolute Universe and Ultimate Universe titles that dominate the Top 10.
GI Joe #9 climbed from the number 51 spot to the number 32 spot. This once consistent Top 25 seller seems to have lost that sales power, as it has not been in the Top 25 for months.
Void Rivals #21 ticked up from the number 87 spot to the number 71 spot. This snapped a three-month streak of this title selling outside of the Top 75.
Spawn Franchise
99 Spawn #366
148 King Spawn #47
166 Spawn: The Curse of Sherlee Johnson #2
168 Medieval Spawn #4 (Of 4)
170 Gunslinger Spawn #45
Unranked: Spawn: The Scorched #43
Unranked: Sam and Twitch: Case Files #16
Unranked: Spawn: Rat City #16
The Spawn franchise had zero comics in the Top 50. This was flat compared to June 2025, when the Spawn franchise had zero comics in the Top 50.
Year-over-year numbers were flat, as the Spawn franchise had zero comics in the Top 50 in July 2024.
Spawn #366 dipped from the number 92 spot to the number 99 spot.
King Spawn #47 climbed from the number 182 spot to the number 148 spot.
Spawn: The Curse of Sherlee Johnson #2 crashed and burned, falling from the number 56 spot to the number 166 spot. I had a feeling this was going to happen, given the soft debut number for this title.
Medieval Spawn #4 dipped from the number 162 spot to the number 168 spot. This issue concludes this four-issue mini-series. Medieval Spawn ended up being a solid seller for the Spawn franchise compared to the other titles in this franchise.
Gunslinger Spawn #45 climbed back into the Top 200 rankings and took the number 170 spot. This ended this title’s two-month streak of being unranked.
Sam and Twitch: Case Files #16 was unranked for the sixth straight month.
Spawn: Rat City #16 was unranked for the third consecutive month. Putting Erica Schultz on this title seemed like a weird idea from the start, and it has not proven to be successful.
Ghost Machine Titles
95 Geiger #16
112 Redcoat #13
Unranked: Hornsby & Halo #8
Unranked: The Rocketfellers #7
Ghost Machine had zero comics in the Top 50. This was flat compared to June 2025, when Ghost Machine had zero comics in the Top 50.
Year-over-year numbers were down, as Ghost Machine had zero comics in the Top 10, zero comics in the Top 25, and two comics in the Top 50 in July 2024.
Geiger #16 ticked up from the number 101 spot to the number 95 spot. This ended Geiger’s one-month stint outside of the Top 100.
Redcoat #13 climbed from the number 149 spot to the number 112 spot.
Hornsby & Halo #8 was unranked for the eighth consecutive month.
The Rocketfellers #7 was unranked for the fourth consecutive month.
Godzilla Franchise
5 Godzilla Destroys the Marvel Universe #1 (Marvel Comics)
36 Godzilla vs. Thor #1 (Marvel Comics) (Resolicitation)
47 Godzilla (Kai-Sei Era) #1 (IDW Publishing)
137 Justice League Vs Godzilla Vs Kong 2 #2 (Of 7) (DC Comics) (Resolicitation)
182 Godzilla Vs. Avengers #1 (Marvel Comics) (Resolicitation)
189 Godzilla Vs. America Boston (IDW Publishing)
Unranked: Godzilla: Here There Be Aliens #2
Unranked: Mothra: Queen of the Monsters #4
The Godzilla franchise had one comic in the Top 10, one comic in the Top 25, and three comics in the Top 50.
It is great to see the King of Monsters doing well in the sales chart. It is interesting to note that up to this point, only Marvel Comics and DC Comics had any real sales success with Godzilla. IDW Publishing has predictably underperformed. However, IDW Publishing did manage to place a Gofzilla title in the Top 50. We shall see how well Godzilla (Kai-Sei Era) does next month.
Star Wars Franchise
62 Star Wars #3 (Marvel Comics)
76 Star Wars: The Legacy of Vader #6 (Marvel Comics)
157 Star Wars Doctor Aphra – Chaos Agent #2 (Marvel Comics)
173 Star Wars: Jedi Knights #5 (Resolicitation) (Marvel Comics)
Unranked: Star Wars: The High Republic – The Finale #1 (Marvel Comics)
Unranked: Star Wars: Hyperspace Stories – The Bad Batch: Ghost Agents #5 (Dark Horse Comics)
Unranked: Star Wars: The High Republic Adventures #20 (Dark Horse Comics)
Unranked: Star Wars: Hyperspace Stories – Tides of Terror #1 (Dark Horse Comics)
The Star Wars franchise had zero comics in the Top 50. This was flat compared to June 2025, when the Star Wars franchise had zero comics in the Top 50.
Year-over-year numbers were down, as the Star Wars franchise had zero comics in the Top 10, one comic in the Top 25, and one comic in the Top 50 in July 2024.
Numbers were down from two years ago, as the Star Wars franchise had zero comics in the Top 10, zero comics in the Top 25, and two comics in the Top 50 in July 2023.
Numbers were down from three years ago, as the Star Wars franchise had one comic in the Top 10, two comics in the Top 25, and four comics in the Top 50 in July 2022.
What a spectacular fall from grace as the Star Wars franchise is face down and floating dead in the water. Lucasfilm and Marvel Comics have done a masterful job in pulling off what I thought was impossible: Killing consumer interest in Star Wars.
Star Wars #3 ticked up from the number 63 spot to the number 62 spot. It is embarrassing that this title is outside of the Top 50 with just the second issue. But, the good news is that this title’s fall in the rankings has arrested. We will see if Star Wars can maintain its position as a consistent Top 75 seller.
Star Wars: The Legacy of Vader #6 shot up from the number 151 spot to the number 76 spot.
Star Wars Doctor Aphra – Chaos Agent #2 fell from the number 133 spot to the number 157 spot. The combination of an unpopular character plus a Hollywood writer is leading to this title being unranked.
Star Wars: The High Republic – The Finale #1 had an embarrassing debut, failing to even make the Top 200 and going unranked. Cavan Scott continues to have one sales flop after another. The High Republic remains an epic failure from Lucasfilm that has not connected with the consumer at all.
Star Wars: Hyperspace Stories – The Bad Batch: Ghost Agents #5 was unranked for a fourth straight month.
Star Wars: The High Republic Adventures #20 was unranked, like it has been since the dawn of time.
Star Wars: Hyperspace Stories – Tides of Terror #1 had a brutal debut, failing to make the Top 200 and going unranked.

193 Spider-Gwen: The Ghost-Spider #15 (Resolicitation)
The Spider-Man franchise had zero comics in the Top 10, two comics in the Top 25, and three comics in the Top 50. This was worse than June 2025, when the Spider-Man franchise had two comics in the Top 10, two comics in the Top 25, and five comics in the Top 50.
Year-over-year numbers were down, as the Spider-Man franchise had two comics in the Top 10, four comics in the Top 25, and five comics in the Top 50 in July 2024.
Numbers were down from two years ago, as the Spider-Man franchise had two comics in the Top 10, seven comics in the Top 25, and ten comics in the Top 50 in July 2023.
Numbers were down from three years ago, as the Spider-Man franchise had two comics in the Top 10, two comics in the Top 25, and five comics in the Top 50 in July 2022.
Let’s start with the main man Peter Parker.
Amazing Spider-Man #8 climbed from the number 28 spot to the number 15 spot.
Predator vs. Spider-Man #4 shot up from the number 41 spot to the number 17 spot. With this issue, this four-issue mini-series has concluded. It is nice to see Benjamin Percy ending this mini-series with a great sales ranking.
Spider-Man & Wolverine #3 fell from the number 62 spot to the number 68 spot. This title is scoring far lower than I anticipated. This is proof that we are reaching a saturation point with these two characters seemingly everywhere at all times.
Spider-Man vs. The Sinister Sixteen #1 had a brutal debut at the number 94 spot. Not many consumers were excited about this JMS-penned story.
Let’s check out the knock-off Spider-Men.
Miles Morales: Spider-Man #35 rebounded from the number 140 spot to the number 85 spot. This title continues its pattern of yo-yoing in and out of the Dead Titles Walking category.
Spider-Verse vs. Venomverse #3 climbed from the number 120 spot to the number 89 spot. We shall see if this five-issue mini-series can manage to stay out of the Dead Titles Walking category next month.
Let’s look at the sole Venomverse title.
Eddie Brock: Carnage #6 climbed from the number 96 spot to the number 72 spot. This is the second consecutive month that this title has gone up in the rankings.
Let’s wrap up with the lone lady of the Spider-Man franchise.
Spider-Girl #2 nose-dived from the number 54 spot to the number 115 spot. I am not surprised that Spider-Girl is a Dead Title Walking with just the second issue. This title has a weak debut number. Also, Torunn Grønbekk has a consistent track record of no sales success in the sales charts.
X-Men Franchise
12 Uncanny X-Men #17
22 Uncanny X-Men #18
39 Giant-Size House of M #1

156 Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe One Last Time #4 (Resolicitation)
178 Uncanny X-Men #16 (Resolicitation)
Unranked: Wolverine: Revenge – Red Band Raw: Black & White Edition #1
The X-Men franchise had zero comics in the Top 10, two comics in the Top 25, and five comics in the Top 50. This was worse than June 2025, when the X-Men franchise had zero comics in the Top 10, one comic in the Top 25, and seven comics in the Top 50.
Year-over-year numbers were down, as the X-Men franchise had five comics in the Top 10, six comics in the Top 25, and seven comics in the Top 50 in July 2024.

Numbers were down from three years ago, as the X-Men franchise had one comic in the Top 10, four comics in the Top 25, and six comics in the Top 50 in July 2022.
Let’s start with the team titles.
Uncanny X-Men #17 rebounded from the number 38 spot to the number 12 spot. Uncanny X-Men #18 then fell to the number 22 spot.
Exceptional X-Men #11 climbed from the number 85 spot to the number 73 spot. This title has fluctuated in the bottom of the Top 100 for the past three months.
Giant-Size House of M #1 had an average debut, taking the number 39 spot.
X-Men Age of Revelation #0 had an unimpressive debut at the number 41 spot. This issue is designed to pique the reader’s interest in the upcoming Age of Revelation big event story.
Let’s hop over to the duo titles.
Deadpool / Wolverine #7 bumped up from the number 90 spot to the number 77 spot. This is the second consecutive month this title has climbed up in the rankings.
Wolverine and Kitty Pryde #4 rebounded from the number 198 spot to the number 125 spot. Even with a rebound, this title cannot escape the Dead Titles Walking category.
Let’s check out the one title for the dudes of the X-Men franchise.
Savage Wolverine #1 had an awful debut at the number 129 spot. This issue is the Tom Parkinson-Morgan Infinity Comics story for the first time in print. The consumer interest in these Infinity Comics stories brought to print remains rather poor.
Let’s wrap up with the ladies of the X-Men franchise.
Emma Frost, The White Queen #2 dropped from the number 36 spot to the number 43 spot. That is a pretty small drop! Emma Frost is popular, so I am not surprised that this title did not experience a big drop with the second issue. Andrea Di Vito’s art is fantastic and worth the price of admission.
Storm #10 ticked up from the number 79 spot to the number 78 spot. This ended five consecutive months of Storm falling in the sales rankings. We shall see if Storm can rally and sneak back into the Top 75 next month.
Laura Kinney: Wolverine #8 ticked up from the number 99 spot to the number 83 spot. This title managed to rally at the last second to avoid becoming a Dead Title Walking. We shall see if this title can continue to rally next month.
Psylocke #9 climbed from the number 98 spot to the number 84 spot. This title also managed a last-second rally to avoid the Dead Titles Walking category. Next month will be a pivotal month for this title.
Phoenix #13 ticked up from the number 113 spot to the number 108 spot. This is the second consecutive month this title has been in the Dead Titles Walking category. This is just Stephanie Phillips doing what she does best.
Avengers Franchise
31 Captain America #1 (Resolicitation)
35 New Avengers #2
53 Bring on the Bad Guys: Abomination #1
75 Bring on the Bad Guys: Loki #1

128 West Coast Avengers #9
149 Vision & the Scarlet Witch #3
151 Avengers #28 (Doom) (Resolicitation)
152 Immortal Thor #25 (Resolicitation)
182 Godzilla Vs. Avengers #1 (Resolicitation)
The Avengers franchise had zero comics in the Top 10, zero comics in the Top 25, and one comic in the Top 50. This was worse than June 2025, when the Avengers franchise had one comic in the Top 10, three comics in the Top 25, and five comics in the Top 50.
Year-over-year numbers were down, as the Avengers franchise had one comic in the Top 10, four comics in the Top 25, and six comics in the Top 50 in July 2024.

Numbers were down from three years ago, as the Avengers franchise had zero comics in the Top 10, one comic in the Top 25, and four comics in the Top 50 in July 2022.
Let’s start with the team titles.
New Avengers #2 dropped from the number 20 spot to the number 35 spot. We knew this title would be outside of the Top 25 with this issue given its debut ranking. We shall see if this title can stablize and remain a consistent Top 50 seller over the next few months.
Superior Avengers #4 rebounded from the number 192 spot to the number 114 spot. This six-issue limited series looks like it is going to struggle to conclude outside of the Dead Titles Walking category.
West Coast Avengers #9 ticked up from the number 146 spot to the number 128 spot. Five out of the past six issues have been in the Dead Titles Walking category.
Let’s check out the one duo title.
Vision & the Scarlet Witch #3 fell from the number 132 spot to the number 149 spot. Steve Orlando continues to deliver his predictable bad sales numbers.
Let’s hop over to the dudes of the Avengers franchise.
Iron Man #10 ticked up from the number 106 spot to the number 87 spot. With this issue, Spencer Ackerman’s Iron Man comic has been cancelled. What a stunner. Hiring a political activist and journalist to write a mainstream superhero comic book was a sales failure. You don’t say. Only a Marvel Comics editor can be surprised by this.
This Iron Man comic was a total sales dud. Hopefully, Marvel Comics has some good plans in store for Ms. Emma Frost going forward. However, based on Marvel’s handling of the character over the years, my expectations are low.
Incredible Hulk #27 ticked up from the number 95 spot to the number 90 spot. This title remains in a sales rut.
Red Hulk #6 climbed from the number 119 spot to the number 91 spot. This title has alternated in and out of the Dead Titles Walking category for the past four issues.
Fantastic Four Franchise
2 Fantastic Four #1
18 Death of the Silver Surfer #2
19 Fantastic Four First Steps #1
97 Doctor Strange of Asgard #5 (Doom)
107 G.O.D.S. One World Under Doom #1
141 Fantastic Four Fanfare #3
164 Fantastic Four Facsimile Edition #7
174 Doom’s Division #5 (Doom)
186 The Thing #3
190 Death of the Silver Surfer #1 Marvel Comics) (Resolicitation)
The Fantastic Four franchise had one comic in the Top 10, three comics in the Top 25, and three comics in the Top 50. This was flat compared to June 2025, when the Fantastic Four franchise had zero comics in the Top 10, three comics in the Top 25, and three comics in the Top 50.
Year-over-year numbers were up, as the Fantastic Four franchise had zero comics in the Top 10, zero comics in the Top 25, and two comics in the Top 50 in July 2024.
Fantastic Four #1 had a monster debut, snagging the number 2 spot. I highly doubt that Fantastic Four will be able to outmuscle the various Absolute Universe and Ultimate Universe titles to remain in the Top 10 next month. However, I would expect this title to remain in the Top 25 next month.
Fantastic Four First Steps #1 had a solid debut at the number 19 spot.
Fantastic Four Fanfare #3 ticked up from the number 153 spot to the number 141 spot. This four-issue mini-series is doomed to conclude in the Dead Titles Walking category next month.
Death of the Silver Surfer #2 dipped from the number 14 spot to the number 18 spot. Wow. That is impressive to see such a tiny drop between the first and second issue. I was not expecting this title to hang so strongly in the sales rankings.
The Thing #3 dipped from the number 176 spot to the number 186 spot. This five-issue mini-series continues to trend toward being unranked by its final issue.
G.O.D.S. One World Under Doom #1 had a terrible debut at the number 107 spot.
Doom’s Division #5 clawed back into the Top 200 rankings and took the number 174 spot. With this issue, this title comes to a conclusion. This five-issue mini-series was a total sales failure.
The Ultimate Universe
11 Ultimate Spider-Man Incursion #2
13 Ultimate Spider-Man #19
26 Ultimates #14
28 Ultimate X-Men #17
34 Ultimate Wolverine #7 (Resolicitation)
60 Ultimate Black Panther #18
69 Ultimate Spider-Man #18 (Resolicitation)
184 Ultimate Spider-Man #17 (Resolicitation)
198 Ultimate Spider-Man Incursion #1 (Resolicitation)
The Ultimate Universe had zero comics in the Top 10, two comics in the Top 25, and five comics in the Top 50. This was worse than June 2025, when the Ultimate Universe had three comics in the Top 10, three comics in the Top 25, and seven comics in the Top 50.
Year-over-year numbers were down in the Top 10 and the Top 25, but up in the Top 50, as the Ultimate Universe had three comics in the Top 10, four comics in the Top 25, and four comics in the Top 50 in July 2024.
Ultimate Spider-Man Incursion #2 fell from the number 2 spot to the number 11 spot. I am a bit surprised by this. I expected this title to remain in the Top 10 given the Ultimate Universe’s strong Top 10 sales numbers over the past two years. However, this does speak to the slight cooling off of the Ultimate Universe as of late.
Ultimate Spider-Man #19 fell from the number 7 spot to the number 13 spot. This title has now sold outside of the Top 10 in two of the past three issues.
Ultimates #14 ticked up from the number 31 spot to the number 26 spot. This is the second consecutive month that this title has sold outside of the Top 25. This title has cooled off from the time when it was a consistent Top 10 seller each month.
Ultimate X-Men #17 climbed from the number 49 spot to the number 28 spot. This is the highest in the sales rankings that we have seen this title since December 2024.
Ultimate Black Panther #18 climbed from the number 75 spot to the number 60 spot.
Batman Franchise
4 Batman #161 (Batman Hush 2) #4
37 Detective Comics #1099

194 Batman #160 (Batman Hush 2 #3) (Resolicitation)
195 Batman #655 Facsimile Edition
Unranked: Batman Giant-Sized Special Edition #161
The Batman franchise had one comic in the Top 10, one comic in the Top 25, and three comics in the Top 50. This was better than June 2025, when the Batman franchise had zero comics in the Top 10, one comic in the Top 25, and one comic in the Top 50.
Year-over-year numbers were down, as the Batman franchise had zero comics in the Top 10, one comic in the Top 25, and six comics in the Top 50 in July 2024.

Numbers were down from three years ago, as the Batman franchise had one comic in the Top 10, six comics in the Top 25, and nine comics in the Top 50 in July 2022.
Let’s kick things off with the sun and the moon of the DCU: Bruce Wayne.
Batman #161 ticked up from the number 12 spot to the number 4 spot.
Detective Comics #1099 rebounded from the number 70 spot to the number 37 spot. This snapped a two-month stretch of this title selling outside of the Top 50. This is positive news for DC Comics. A title like Detective Comics should be a consistent Top 50 seller.
Batman Gotham by Gaslight – A League for Justice #1had an unimpressive debut at the number 49 spot. There was no large consumer interest in this new Andy Diggle-penned six-issue limited series.
Batman Superman World’s Finest #41 rallied from the number 84 spot to the number 56 spot. We shall see if this title can continue its comeback and crack back into the Top 50 next month.
Batman and Robin Year One #9 climbed from the number 91 spot to the number 57 spot. This is the highest we have seen this title in the sales rankings since Batman and Robin Year One #5 back in February 2025.
Batman the Long Halloween: The Last Halloween #8 fell from the number 55 spot to the number 74 spot. This is the lowest in the sales rankings we have seen for this title. The poor shipping schedule is not helping. The last issue of this title shipped back in April 2025.
Batman Dark Patterns #8 rebounded from the number 104 spot to the number 80 spot. This ended the one-month stint in the Dead Titles Walking category.
Batman and Robin #23 shot up from the number 149 spot to the number 98 spot. This title has been in the Dead Titles Walking category for three of the past five months.
Robin & Batman Jason Todd #2 dipped from the number 58 spot to the number 64 spot. Nice! That is an incredibly small drop between a first and second issue. It is even more impressive considering how weak the debut number was for this title. We shall see if this three-issue limited sereis can conclude next month in the Top 75.
Nightwing #128 climbed from the number 107 spot to the number 66 spot. This ended this title’s two-month stint in the Dead Titles Walking category.
Nightwing 2025 Annual #1 had a terrible debut at the number 153 spot.
Gotham City Sirens Unfit for Orbit #3 climbed from the number 172 spot to the number 113 spot. Gotham City Sirens Unfit for Orbit #4 fell to the number 123 spot. Gotham City Sirens Unfit for Orbit #5 fell to the number 175 spot. This five-issue mini-series has now concluded. Chalk this tile up as another massive sales failure from Leah Williams. DC Comics editorial will seemingly never learn.
Superman Franchise
33 Superman #28
38 Supergirl #3
40 Superman Unlimited #3
56 Batman Superman World’s Finest #41
65 Krypto: The Last Dog of Krypton #2 (Of 5)
70 Action Comics #1088
117 Superman Treasury 2025 Hero for All #1 (One-Shot)
177 Krypto: The Last Dog of Krypton #1 (Of 5) (Resolicitation)
Unranked: DC’s Kal-El-Fornia Love #1
Unranked: DC W.I.P.: All-Star Superman #1
The Superman franchise had zero comics in the Top 10, zero comics in the Top 25, and three comics in the Top 50. This was better than June 2025, when the Superman franchise had zero comics in the Top 50.
Year-over-year numbers were down in the Top 25 and flat in the Top 50, as the Superman franchise had zero comics in the Top 10, one comic in the Top 25, and three comics in the Top 50 in July 2024.
Numbers were down in the Top 25 but up in the Top 50 from two years ago, as the Superman franchise had zero comics in the Top 10, one comic in the Top 25, and two comics in the Top 50 in July 2023.
Numbers were up from three years ago, as the Superman franchise had zero comics in the Top 10, zero comics in the Top 25, and two comics in the Top 50 in July 2022.
Superman #28 rocketed up from the number 76 spot to the number 33 spot. Ideally, Superman would be a consistent Top 25 seller. However, being a Top 50 seller should be table stakes for DC Comics. This snapped a two-month streak outside of the Top 50. Let’s see if this title can remain in the Top 50 going forward.
Superman Unlimited #3 climbed from the number 69 spot to the number 40 spot. This is another positive sign for DC Comics. This title should be a Top 25 seller or, at the very least, a Top 50 seller.
Action Comics #1088 ticked up from the number 80 spot to the number 70 spot. It is great that this title has climbed in the sales rankings the past wo months. However, this iconic title is still selling far too low than it should be given its pedigree.
Superman Treasury 2025 Hero for All #1 had an awful debut at the number 117 spot.
DC’s Kal-El-Fornia Love #1 had an ambarrasingly brutal debut failing to even make the Top 200 and going unranked.
Let’s hop over to the sole lady of the Superman franchise.
Supergirl #3 rebounded from the number 56 spot to the number 38 spot. We shall see if this title can manage to remain in the Top 50 next month.
Let’s wrap up with man’s best friend.
Krypto: The Last Dog of Krypton #2 dipped from the number 55 spot to the number 65 spot. This is another postive sign. This is a small drop especiall when considering the soft debut number this title had in June 2025.
Justice League Franchise
25 Justice League Unlimited #9 (We Are Yesterday)
45 Zatanna #6 (Of 6)
52 Wonder Woman #23
58 Justice League Dark Tomorrow Special #1 (One-Shot)
81 DC X Sonic the Hedgehog #5 (Of 5)
86 Green Lantern #25

181 Justice League Unlimited #8 (Resolicitation)
197 Flash Bad Moon Rising Special #1 (One-Shot)
Unranked: The Flash #23
Unranked: Fire & Ice: When Hell Freezes Over #4
The Justice League franchise had zero comics in the Top 10, one comic in the Top 25, and two comics in the Top 50. This was better in the Top 25, but flat in the Top 50 compared to June 2025, when the Justice League franchise had zero comics in the Top 10, zero comics in the Top 25, and two comics in the Top 50.
Year-over-year numbers were down, as the Justice League franchise had zero comics in the Top 10, two comics in the Top 25, and three comics in the Top 50 in July 2024.

Numbers were up from three years ago, as the Justice League franchise had zero comics in the Top 10, zero comics in the Top 25, and one comic in the Top 50 in July 2022.
Let’s start with the team titles.
Justice League Unlimited #9 climbed from the number 48 spot to the number 25 spot. This is the highest in the sales rankings since Justice League Unlimited #6 took the number 21 spot. DC Comics desperately needs this title to remain a consistent Top 25 seller.
Justice League Dark Tomorrow Special #1 had an unimpressive debut at number 58. This one-shot from Marc Guggenheim and Mark Waid is the lead in to the next big DC All In event. DC Comics has to hope fan interest increases going forward.
Let’s hop over to the Green Lantern franchise.
Green Lantern #25 rocketed up from the number 144 spot to the number 86 spot. This is the highest this title has been in the rankings since Green Lantern #18 took the number 65 spot back in December 2024. Five out of the past six issues of Green Lantern were in the Dead Titles Walking category. This is a positive sign, but Green Lantern is still perfomring far too poorly for the pedigree and sales history of this title. There is no reason why Green Lantern should not be a consistent Top 25 or at least Top 50 seller.
100 Green Lantern Corps #6 climbed from the number 147 spot to the number 100 spot. This snapped two consecutive months in the Dead Titles Walking category.
Let’s check out the dudes of the Justice League franchise.
Aquaman #7 climbed from the number 138 spot to the number 101 spot. Aquaman has been trapped in the Dead Titles Walking category for three consecutive months. This title should be perfoming much better than it is.
Mr. Terrific Year One #3 rebounded from the number 196 spot to the number 135 spot. This six-issue mini-series has spent all of its existance in the Dead Titles Walking cateegory and that will remain until its conclusion. This is just more proof that movies do not drive comic book sales. Nobody who went and watched James Gunn’s Superman left the theater clamoring to go purchase a Mr. Terrific comic book.
Green Arrow #26 ticked up from the number 181 spot to the number 176 spot. This title continues to be a sales embarrasment for DC Comics.
Flash Bad Moon Rising Special #1 crashed and burned in its debut at the number 197 spot. Alex Paknadel contonues his streak of having zero sales success. The Flash franchise contonues to be a complete dumpster fire.
The Flash #23 went unranked for the third consecutive month. I cannot believe that I just typed those words. Barry Allen’s Flash comic has been a sales monster so many times in prior years. This legitmately stuns me. I cannot believe how DC Comics editorial have been so grossly negligent in how they have handled this once proud franchise. Ever editor attached to the Flash should be fired.
Let’s wrap up with the ladies of the Justice League.
Zatanna #6 climbed from the number 67 spot to the number 45 spot. With this issue, this six-issue limited series has concluded. Zatanna was a surprise hit! This mini-series managed to spend its entire run in the Top 75.
Wonder Woman #23 shot up from the number 99 spot to the number 52 spot. This was a nice rebound. However, the bad news is that this is now the third consecutive month that Wonder Woman has sold outside of the Top 50.
Trinity Daughter of Wonder Woman #2 plummeted from the number 78 spot to the number 104 spot. We all knew this six-issue mini-series was going to be a Dead Title Walking with just the second issue. The fact is that there is zero consumer interest in Trinity. I get that Tom King is infatuated with the character, but nobody else is.
Fire & Ice: When Hell Freezes Over #4 was unranked for the third consecutive month. This six-issue mini-series has been a total sales embarrassment for DC Comics. Hiring Joanne Starer to write a mainstream superhero comic book was another brain-dead move by DC Comics editorial.
The Absolute Universe
1 Absolute Batman #10
3 Absolute Superman #9
6 Absolute Wonder Woman #10
7 Absolute Flash #5
10 Absolute Martian Manhunter #5 (Of 6)
59 Absolute Green Lantern #4 (Resolicitation)
61 Absolute Batman #9 (Resolicitation)
67 Absolute Wonder Woman #9 (Resolicitation)
82 Absolute Martian Manhunter #4 (Of 6) (Resolicitation)
106 Absolute Batman #1 (Resolicitation)
124 Absolute Flash #4 (Resolicitation)
136 Absolute Superman #1 (Resolicitation)
147 Absolute Batman #8 (Resolicitation)
158 Absolute Batman #3 (Resolicitation)
167 Absolute Wonder Woman #1 (Resolicitation)
185 Absolute Batman #2 (Resolicitation)
187 Absolute Batman #7 (Resolicitation)
192 Absolute Flash #1 (Resolicitation)
The Absolute Universe had five comics in the Top 10, five comics in the Top 25, and five comics in the Top 50. This was better in the Top 10, but worse in the Top 25 and Top 50, compared to June 2025, when the Absolute Universe had three comics in the Top 10, six comics in the Top 25, and seven comics in the Top 50.
Absolute Batman #10 ticked up from the number 3 spot to the number 1 spot. Absolute Batman has now scored the number 1 spot in eight out of ten issues. That is insane!
Absolute Superman #9 remained locked in at the number 3 spot for the third straight month. That is interesting. I do not know if I have ever seen a comic book nail the same ranking three months in a row otuside of the overall number 1 spot.
Absolute Wonder Woman #10 ticked up from the number 9 spot to the number 6 spot.
Absolute Flash #5 ticked up from the number 11 spot to the number 7 spot. This ended this title’s one month stint outside of the Top 10.

Absolute Batman continues to be the crown jewel of the Absolute Universe with a stunning six resolicited issues in the Top 200. That means that out of a total of seven, out of the ten issues for Absolute Batman made the Top 200. That is mind-blowing.

DC Vs Vampires World War V #11 climbed from the number 158 spot to the number 130 spot. This twelve-issue limited series is limping toward the finish line next month.

Titans 2025 Annual #1 had a brutal debut at the number 133 spot.
Runaways #2 death spiraled from the number 86 spot to the number 165 spot. Welp. You hire Rainbow Rowell to write a mainstream superhero comic book, and you get Rainbow Rowell sales results. It is just more weird hiring by Marvel Comics editorial.

The mantle-swap approach continues to be a dead-end approach to comic books. Marvel Comics and DC Comics don’t have enough smart editors to fully avoid this approach to comics going forward. But you are definitely seeing the Big Two choosing this path with much less frequency than they have in the past.
