Recently we saw what happens when the armies of Agorria and Zertonia clash in the pages of Void Rivals #22. The massive battle led to Proximus making a game changing move that could alter the direction of the entire series. Now ahead of Void Rivals #23’s September 24th release date Skybound and Image Comics has provided us with an early preview of what we can expect next.
As we see with the solicitation for the upcoming Energon Universe comic book both the Agorria and Zertonia will be feeling Proximus move to unite both under his power. That is not the only thing we can expect followed up on. Pythona and Cobra-La also appear to be finally making big moves at the same time the connection to the Transformers grows:

Void Rivals #23 will arrive in stores with its main cover being handled by series artist Lorenzo De Felici. First Look: Autobot Wheelie Comes Face to Face with Pythona in Void Rivals #23
LOS ANGELES 08/29/2025 — Today Skybound and Image Comics, in collaboration with leading games, IP and toy company Hasbro, revealed interior pages and the lineup of variant covers for Void Rivals #23. From the blockbuster creative team of writer Robert Kirkman (Invincible, The Walking Dead), artist Conor Hughes (White Ash, The Game), colorist Patricio Delpeche (The Sandman Universe: Nightmare Country), and letterer Rus Wooton (Fire Power), this all-new chapter of the epic space opera hits comic book shops on September 24, 2025.

Each issue of Void Rivals promises to take readers further into the Energon Universe, with more familiar faces to appear, including some of the most popular TRANSFORMERS bots, allies, enemies…and shocking reveals!
Void Rivals #23 will feature a main cover by Lorenzo De Felici, along with a lineup of variant covers including an open-to-order cover B by Conor Hughes, the continuation of the 1:10 incentive variant connecting cover series by Martín Morazzo and Patricio Delpeche, a 1:25 incentive variant by Andrea De Dominicis, and a 1:50 incentive variant by John Amor.
As recently announced, Void Rivals will kick off its biggest story yet with The Quintesson War, which begins in December with issue #25. Robert Kirkman will be joined by new series artist Andrei Bressan (Destro, Uncanny X-Men) for an Energon Universe epic like nothing you’ve experienced…and the Sacred Ring will never be the same.
Void Rivals is a tentpole of the Energon Universe, the crown jewel of the historic collaboration between Hasbro and Skybound, who has introduced a brand-new era of the TRANSFORMERS and G.I. JOE franchises in one shared comic book universe.
