DC Comics February 2026 solicitations are here! With it we see the early part of the new year for the DC Universe will continue to be dominated by DC K.O. The event will see major players related to Darkseid’s plans from the beginning of DC All In joining the DC K.O. tournament. That is along with what appears to major plans for the Batman Family, Aquaman, Green Lantern, and more being teased. Let’s break down the ten biggest takeaways from DC Comics February 2026 solicitations.
ANDRINA CURRY REAVEL CHANGING AQUAMAN’S WORLD

The Aquaman series has been one of the more important titles for the current direction of DC Comics. That will continue to be shown with Aquaman #14 as something related to Darkseid is teased for the issue.
The callout of Andrina Curry revealing her true nature can directly tie into what Darkseid is planning. Given that this is happening outside the DC K.O. event it can be a revelation that further sets up what we’ll see happening in the new year. It can help to continue to make Aquaman an important title for DC Comics.
9) WALLY WEST & BART ALLEN HEADED TOWARDS BIG REUNION

For as much as Flash is a staple in DC Comics’ Crisis events they have not been a part of DC K.O.’s main story. That was done for a reason as the Flash Family is busy with another aspect of Darkseid’s plans. Specifically with them getting involved with the Absolute Legion of Super-Heroes. That has all been told in the current Flash ongoing series.
This side mission for Flash and Impulse all appears to be leading to a big return for a DC Universe character. The solicitation for Flash #30 plays coy with who this character Flash and Impulse will be reuniting with. If it is big enough to tease we could see the return of long absent Flash related character or someone that Darkseid specifically didn’t want around.
8) SIRENS FILL THE BIRDS OF PREY PUBLISHING HOLE

DC Comics is bringing back the Gotham City Sirens in a new form. Now they are simply going by Sirens. This is being done as Black Canary joins the Gotham City Sirens in a new mini-series titled Sirens: Love Hurts.
Based on both the covers and solicitation, Sirens: Love Hurts is taking place in an Elseworld. That is honestly the best thing for the mini-series. This will give Tini Howard and Babs Tarr more freedom to do what they want with Black Canary, Catwoman, Harley Quinn, and Poison Ivy.
It’ll be especially helpful for Howard, who has struggled to tell stories within the main DC Universe. And it helps that Tarr is returning to draw Sirens: Love Hurts. Her art style is incredibly unique and at least guarantees the series will be fun.
7) ABSOLUTE WONDER WOMAN GETTING HER FIRST ANNUAL

Absolute Wonder Woman will be getting what feels like a long overdue annual. Kelly Thompson’s Absolute Wonder Woman has been one of DC Comics best. It was a bit surprising they waited seventeen issues before the series got an annual.
Like the Absolute Batman Annual, the Absolute Wonder Woman Annual should provide an opportunity to tell a story that expands on the character’s mythology. We see that be hinted with Thompson and Mattia De Iulis exploring the impact of Absolute Wonder Woman’s brief transformation into Medusa. That was something we quickly moved passed due to other threats showing up.
6) ABSOLUTE BATMAN & SUPERMAN MEETING ABSOLUTE HAWKMAN & POISON IVY

Absolute Batman and Superman will have their hands full in February. They’re not only appearing alongside Absolute Wonder Woman in DC K.O. Both Absolute Batman and Absolute Superman show that they will each facing major threats towards their future.
For Absolute Batman, Bruce will continue to deal with the impact Ark-M has on Gotham City. That impact is leading to a clash with Absolute Poison Ivy. If the forms Two-Face, Killer Croc, Penguin, and Riddler have taken in the Absolute Universe then Absolute Poison Ivy will be more dangerous than any other incarnation. The cover for Absolute Batman #17 teases us with a more horror-leaning presentation for Absolute Poison Ivy.
Meanwhile, over in Absolute Superman we will see some things spinning out of Absolute Evil. Specifically, we will be getting Absolute Hawkman enter the picture. If what Absolute Hawkman did to Absolute Green Arrow is any indication, then Absolute Peacemaker was nothing compared to him. If Absolute Superman struggled against Absolute Peacemaker than Absolute Hawkman will be a threat that the Man of Steel is not prepared to face.
5) GREEN LANTERN WEDDING TAKING OVER DC COMICS IN 2026

It appears wedding bells are in the future for Hal Jordan and Carol Ferris. That is certainly being teased with the main cover for Green Lantern #32. We see that Carol is shocked that who appears to be Hal presenting her with an ring that’s not a Power Ring.
This could be a bigger deal than just being another superhero wedding. We’ve seen that Hal is dealing with the changes to the Book of Oa recently. Hal’s decision to propose to Carol could play into what is now written in the Book of Oa. Hal and Carol’s wedding that could happen later in 2026 can set up the next big Green Lantern event.
4) NEW DC UNIVERSE HISTORY FOR MILESTONE COMICS

New History of the DC Universe mini-series looks like it was a success for DC Comics. We see that as they are using the presentation style to define the Milestone Comics’ characters modern history.
Doing this is smart as DC Comics has been trying to do different things to bring the Milestone Comics’ characters into their universe. Unfortunately, none of that has worked to have long-running comics for Static, Icon, Rocket, and other Milestone characters.
That’s what makes New History of the DC Universe: The Dakota Incident so important. It can help create many new, needed titles to fill out the rest of 2026 after DC K.O. comes to a close.
3) BATMAN FAMILY REACH MAJOR TRANSITION PERIOD

A running thread in all the Batman Family titles in DC Comics February 2026 solicitations is that the majority of them are closing out major story arcs. Other than Matt Fraction and Jorge Jimenez’s Batman, each of the Batman Family titles are teasing some sort of end. And if they aren’t then their DC Comics February 2026 solicitations talk about game changing developments.
This is something that aligns not just because DC K.O. will end the next month. Because if it was then every DC Comics title would have their solicitation for February talked about some sort of ending. So this seems to be unique for the Batman Family in February.
That could mean that DC Comics is setting up a revamp for the current publishing plans for the Batman Family. We saw that at the end of 2025 with Birds of Prey ending. Now we are getting teased with Bludhaven being reshaped due to the power vacuum, Damian Wayne in the middle of a big life decision, Tim Drake having gone through a near death experience, things being oddly quiet for Barbara Gordon, Jason Todd’s Red Hood series being canceled after one issue, and Cassandra Cain wrapping up the War of the Shadows.
All these things hint at March 2026 be we will see what DC Comics publishing plans for the Batman Family is for the rest of the year.
2) DC COMICS BRINGS BACK VERTIGO IMPRINT

DC Comics February 2026 comic book solicitations had a lot of big things revealed. The return of the Vertigo imprint is in competition for the biggest takeaway from the solicitations. It’s something we’ve seen be talked about but will finally be happening.
To be honest I never read a Vertigo imprint comic book. I’ve heard many great things about the comics coming out of the imprint. Having been exploring more of the non-superhero comic books over the last few years I’m excited to get into what Vertigo has to offer.
The comic books we are getting from the Vertigo imprint include Bleeding Hearts by Deniz Camp and Stipan Morian, End of Life by Kyle Starks and Steve Pugh, and Peril of the Brutal Dark: An Ezra Cain Mystery by Chris Condon and Jacob Phillips. All the titles along with the continuation of James Tynion and Alvaro Martinez Bueno’s The Nice House by the Sea look interesting. They are all have a different energy from their covers alone that isn’t seen from the normal DC Comics offerings.
1) ABSOLUTE TRINITY JOIN DC K.O. TOURNAMENT

It was only a matter of time before the Absolute Trinity joining the DC K.O. tournament. We saw their arrival into the tournament being teased in DC K.O. #1. Now that tease is going to be paid off in DC K.O. #4’s main cover shows Absolute Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman front and center.
There is a lot to process from the cover alone. We see Absolute Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman all with the Omega symbol in their eyes. This seems to signify that Darkseid is having them operate as his agents, similar to Booster Gold. Given how different Absolute Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman are from their main DC Universe counterpart this can be a game changing development.
That said, what we don’t know is if these are in fact the Absolute Universe versions of the characters we’ve been reading the last year. Afterall, in the current slate of Absolute Universe comics we don’t see Darkseid outright controlling the Absolute Trinity’s actions. This could mean that all the Absolute Universe titles are prequels to DC K.O. or there are deeper things Darkseid is doing with the universe he created we don’t know about.
