Comic Book Reviews 12/24/25: Absolute Superman #14ABSOLUTE SUPERMAN #14

CREATIVE TEAM

Writer: Jason Aaron

Artist: Rafa Sandoval

Colorist: Ulises Arreola

Letterer: Becca Carey

Absolute Superman #14 is exactly what this series needs. The Ra’s Al Ghul and Lazarus Corp story has run its course that it had to end now. Jason Aaron and Rafa Sandoval make sure that all the build up got a proper payoff that rewards fans. The way Absolute Superman defeats Ra’s Al Ghul positions the character in a spot where he and the cast could go anywhere. That sense of unknown creates excitement for what comes next.

Overall Rating: 8.5 Night Girls out of 10

Comic Book Reviews 12/24/25: Absolute Wonder Woman #15ABSOLUTE WONDER WOMAN #15

CREATIVE TEAM

Writer: Kelly Thompson

Artist: Hayden Sherman

Colorist: Jordie Bellaire

Letterer: Becca Carey

Absolute Wonder Woman #15 is a phenomenal first time superhero team-up comic book. Kelly Thompson nails the instant chemistry Absolute Batman and Wonder Woman have with one another. That opens the door for a strong story that mixes the strengths of both characters, magic and detective work. By the end you are left hoping Absolute Batman and Wonder Woman can become the Absolute Universe’s version of the World’s Finest duo. Click here to read the full review.

Overall Rating: 9.5 Night Girls out of 10

Comic Book Reviews 12/24/25: Amazing Spider-Man #18AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #18

CREATIVE TEAM

Writer: Joe Kelly

Artist: John Romita Jr.

Inker: Scott Hanna

Colorist: Marcio Menyz

Letterer: Joe Caragman

Amazing Spider-Man #18 is by far the best issue of the Earth-based chapters we have been getting with this current series direction. That is not saying a lot since the Earth-side of things has been the weakest part of Amazing Spider-Man. Choosing to focus on Norman Osborn’s struggles with his choice to be Spider-Man while Peter Parker is MIA was a smart choice. Replacing Ben Reilly with J. Jonah Jameson helped a lot with this. That along with the rest of the Spider-Man Family showing up. That said, the Spider-Man Family’s presence just reminds the reader having a focus on them would’ve been a better direction as when Norman is Spider-Man the spark of interest isn’t there.

Overall Rating: 7 Night Girls out of 10

Comic Book Reviews 12/24/25: Green Lantern #30GREEN LANTERN #30

CREATIVE TEAM

Writer: Jeremy Adams

Artist: Carmine Di Giandomenico

Colorist: Romulo Fajardo Jr.

Letterer: Dave Sharpe

Green Lantern #30 is the definition of a solid read. Jeremy Adams does well to tap into the chemistry between Bruce Wayne and Hal Jordan because of their opposite personalities. In the process we continue to see how Hal Jordan is struggling with all the questions around his status quo. The confusion going on is enhanced by the way Carmine Di Giandomenico draws everything. It all makes for a fun team-up between Green Lantern and Batman.

Overall Rating: 7 Night Girls out of 10

Comic Book Reviews 12/24/25: Power Rangers Prime #13POWER RANGERS PRIME #13

CREATIVE TEAM

Writer: Melissa Flores

Artist: Federico Sorressa

Colorist: Joana Lafuente

Letterer: Ed Dukeshire

Power Rangers Prime #13 is the first issue of the series that feels like an episode from the show. That is a credit to the strong foundation laid out by the first twelve issues of this series that can happen. The choice to have Lauren Shiba and Valentina be roommates does a lot to give us both sides of what it means to be a Power Ranger in this new universe. That along with continuing to mix in classic franchise aspects in new ways, such as Lauren’s Ninja Ranger form, make this the best issue of the series so far.

Overall Rating: 9 Night Girls out of 10

Comic Book Reviews 12/24/25: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Battle Nexus #1TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES: BATTLE NEXUS #1

CREATIVE TEAM

Story Writers: Tom Waltz, Paul Allor, Sophie Campbell, Caleb Goellner, and Erik Burnham

Script Writer: Tom Waltz

Artist: Easu and Isaac Escorza

Colorist: Luis Antonio Delgado

Letterer: Tom Napolitano

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Battle Nexus #1 is a phenomenal start to a big event-level multiverse story. Tom Waltz, Easu and Isaac Escorza, and the entire creative team knew exactly how to pace the story to get over the Battle Nexus concept. That along with the cool hits of nostalgia make this a must-read comic book for all Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fans. Click here to read the full review.
