DC Comics March 2026 Solicitations 10 Biggest Takeaways

DC Comics March 2026 solicitations are here! With it we get hints at how the big DC K.O. event will end and what that ending will lead to. Specifically, we get to see DC All In move into its next phase under the Next Level branding as Batwoman, Deathstroke, and Lobo are getting new series. That is on top of things like a DC Comics and AEW crossover, Wonder Woman beginning a new event, a new era for the Titans, and much more. Let’s break down the ten biggest takeaways from DC Comics March 2026 solicitations.

10) DC X AEW CROSSOVER

When promoting their latest big event DC Comics used AEW as part of their marketing plan. DC Comics sponsored AEW’s Full Gear PPV in November along with many of their weekly shows leading up to the PPV. As part of the sponsorship we saw DC K.O. promotion all over the program during that month. Now that partnership is being taken to another level in March 2026 as we are getting a DC x AEW crossover comic book.

DC x AEW is exactly the comic book to for the crossover fans of both. It is not a bad thing as there are many wrestling fans that are comic book fans, and vice versa. If DC Comics and AEW are smart about this partnership they will sell the issues not just in comic book shops. These comics should be at all merch stands at AEW Dynamite, Collison, and PPVs for March and April. That would help possibly make DC x AEW a sneaky high selling comic book for the company in 2026. Hopefully both companies have that type of foresight.

9) GREEN ARROW & BLACK CANARY INVADE DETECTIVE COMICS

With both Green Arrow and Birds of Prey ongoings ending by the time we start 2026 both Oliver Queen and Dinah Lance are without a comic book. DC Comics seems to have found them a temporary home in March as they will be guest starring in Detective Comics #1107.

Now this is the announcement that Green Arrow and Black Canary fans were not hoping for as we go into the new year. To play devils advocate, guest starring in Detective Comics can be a good thing to help both characters get a reset. They can get some investment from Batman fans to want to see what is going on with Green Arrow and Black Canary after this Detective Comics story arc.

It will all hopefully lead to a new ongoing, possibly titled Black Canary & Green Arrow, for both characters. They definitely deserve to always lead an ongoing series. Maybe Tom Taylor could set the foundation for him being the writer for that ongoing series if he has the bandwidth and DC Comics is offering him that book.

8) WONDER WAR BEGINS TOM KING’S WONDER WOMAN SECOND PHASE

Tom King is returning to Wonder Woman in March. After a two-month break, he and Daniel Samepere are back to kick off the next phase of their Wonder Woman run. They are marking their return by kicking off their next epic story titled “Wonder War.”

This will be a big moment for King and Sampere’s run on Wonder Woman. Things started strong, making the series a top seller for DC Comics. But in 2025 things have been falling on the sales charts as we’ve seen in recent months King’s Wonder Woman run not selling as well as it did in the first dozen issues. That was seen most recently in the October 2025 sales rankings.

It puts a lot on “Wonder War” to help bring back King’s run to its former glory. Though given the negative reception becoming more vocal in recent months the momentum doesn’t seem to be there. Teasing that they are bringing a teenage Trinity from the future to team up with Wonder Woman shows that they are going to do everything they can to get people back. It does have a last ditch effort feel to this move as the whole Wonder Woman being a mother to a young baby didn’t work. We’ll see if the older Trinity becomes a permanent part of the DC Universe like Damian Wayne and Jonathan Kent are.

7) SEEDS BEING PLANTED FOR 2026 BATMAN FAMILY EVENT?

DC Comics March 2026 solicitations both gives us a lot and not much information about the direction for the Batman Family. For Batman, Detective Comics, Nightwing, Batgirl, Catwoman, Harley Quinn, and Poison Ivy titles they are all starting new story arcs in March. The new appearance of Joker in Batman #7 is certainly be most notable of all these new story arcs.

That said, with all Batman Family titles starting new story arcs there is a running theme in all of them. That is all the character dealing with new major chapters in their lives. Many of the solicitations are written in a way that feels like we will be getting hints at a Batman Family event in 2026.

It has been about two years since we got our last big Batman crossover. Coming off DC K.O. it wouldn’t be surprising if we don’t get a big DC Universe wide crossover. Instead it’ll be more franchise-focused crossovers. That will all be led by a Batman Family crossover with all the characters coming together after doing their own thing for the last two years.

6) ABSOLUTE SUPERMAN BRINGS IN ABSOLUTE LEX LUTHOR

It was only a matter of time before Absolute Lex Luthor was going to make his full entry into the Absolute Universe. We got our first look at Absolute Lex Luthor in the Absolute Evil one-shot. That one-shot hinted at Absolute Lex Luthor not being the character we know. He appeared to have a normal life and be a good guy. This was done on purpose as Absolute Lex Luthor was positioned as possibly the balance to who Absolute Joker is. This is all part of the Absolute Justice League villain group whose members all balance at least one member out, except for Absolute Joker who doesn’t have his counter.

With that in mind, if Absolute Superman #17 continues that direction the person that Absolute Lex Luthor will meet will be tied to the Absolute Justice League. The issue will likely confirm what Absolute Lex Luthor’s role in the universe will be. The big question is what his dynamic will be with Absolute Superman will be as that meeting will likely be saved for a later 2026 issue.

5) GREEN LANTERN CELEBRATES ITS 600TH ISSUE

Green Lantern is going to be reaching a rare milestone in March 2026. That month we will see Green Lantern’s 600th legacy issue release. Even as a legacy issue it is still a big mark to hit for any single series.

For Green Lantern #600 we don’t have the full creative team that will be working on this milestone issue. All we know on the writing side is current writer Jeremy Adams and Green Lantern legend Ron Marz on the issue. That is to go along with artists Xermanico, Darryl Banks, and V Ken Marion. Beyond that we don’t know if DC Comics is bringing back creators like Geoff Johns to make this a big celebration issue.

When it comes to the main story of Green Lantern #600, it could be the most important issue of the series in 2026. It can help further solidify the future of the franchise as the current status quo is a bit all over the place with the return of the Emotional Spectrum. We could get greater hints at what we can expect from the franchise beyond the two current Green Lantern and Green Lantern Corps series.

There is one hint that we could see Kyle Rayner get a new direction as he is going back to Earth. Maybe he rejoins the Justice League as the main Green Lantern.

4) ABSOLUTE WONDER WOMAN CLASHES WITH ABSOLUTE ZATANNA

Absolute Wonder Woman vs Absolute Zatanna is a fight that has been in the makings for months. We now know that we will be seeing the battle of the most powerful witches in the Absolute Universe in March. That is all going down in Absolute Wonder Woman #18.

The anticipation for this fight has been high. Ever since we got our first glimpse at Absolute Zatanna in Absolute Wonder Woman. In that cameo appearance we got all we need to know about the character. Absolute Zatanna was immediately established as the only magic user powerful enough to take on Absolute Wonder Woman.

This will be the biggest test to Absolute Wonder Woman’s magic abilities. Because up to this point we’ve seen her utilize both her physical and magical strengths in unison. Having to specialize in magic to take on another powerful magician should bring something else out of the character we haven’t seen in other story arcs.

3) BATWOMAN, DEATHSTROKE, & LOBO GO NEXT LEVEL

DC Comics March 2026 begins the next phase of the DC All In era that will be known as Next Level. As part Next Level we are going to get the launch of several new comic books. For March we got three new Next Level titles. They are Lobo by Skottie Young and Jorge Corona, Deathstroke: The Terminator by Tony Fleecs and Carmine Di Giandomenico, and Batwoman by Greg Rucka and Dani.

Right away the creative teams for all three Next Level titles stand out. DC Comics appear to be reinvesting in recruiting writers and artists who have built a following. Skottie Young and Greg Rucka have been constants in the industry for a long time. Tony Fleecs has been doing a lot of great work at Image Comics. Then the artists of Jorge Corona, Carmine Di Giandomenico, and Dani have all become known for delivering great looking comics. Best of all DC Comics seems to have identified characters that work to the strengths of each creative team.

For myself, Batwoman is the immediate standout. Greg Rucka has proven he knows how to write in the DC Universe in the past. He’s had great runs on Batman and Wonder Woman. That includes a memorable Detective Comics run that starred Kate Kane’s Batwoman. So Rucka certainly knows how to write the character. Returning to a character he helped define can be the turn around that Batwoman has needed for years of floundering in the DC Universe.

2) DC K.O. COMES TO A DRAMATIC END

DC Comics March 2026 comic book solicitations gave us our first hint at how the DC K.O. event will be ending. Right away the thing that stands out is three of the variant covers feature Batman and Superman, two of which show them fighting. While it is tough to judge what will happen in a comic based on variant covers it would not be surprising if they are a spoiler. Afterall, DC K.O. started with a clear effort to remove Batman from participating in the King Omega Tournament. That along with Superman being the lead of the event a clash with Batman is well in the cards.

A Batman and Superman clash will certainly help to sell numbers for DC K.O. #5. Though we still don’t know who the new King Omega will be. Darkseid will certainly factor in as he has revealed himself as already working on the inside of the event.

That said, the results of DC K.O. may be given away by the Superman Family titles March solicitations. It is notable that present day Clark Kent is not noted to be appearing in any of those titles. Jon Kent, Superboy-Prime, and other Superman Family members are all taking the lead in most of the Superman titles. That may mean that Superman will ultimately be the new King Omega. With that new status quo it would give a reason for why DC Comics wouldn’t have Superman appear in his ongoings for at least March to prep a bigger April for the character post-DC K.O.

1) NEW TITANS ERA BEGINS

John Layman’s creative run on Titans was the definition of just fine. Layman certainly knew how to write the cast but the entire run lacked the punch it needed. Especially coming off Tom Taylor’s run that emphasized the Titans on the level of the Justice League this latest creative run didn’t keep up that level.

DC Comics seems to have recognize this as well as they are bringing on a new creative team and renaming the series as New Titans. The new creative team is current Batgirl writer Tate Brombal and artist Sami Basri.

With a new creative team we are also seeing New Titans change its direction. That is seen with silhouette of Jonathan Kent, Yara Flor, Stephanie Brown, and Terra are on the cover are joining the team. Given that outside of Terra these are characters positioned as next generation characters Brombal and Basri look to be going back to the mentor route for the Titans cast.

This isn’t a bad direction to take the Titans and having a smaller cast can help avoid all the problems Titans Academy ran into when trying something similar. It does help that Jonathan Kent, Yara Flor, and Stephanie Brown have a connection with Nightwing and Donna Troy that makes this possible mentors to the next generation work better.
