Marvel Comics February 2026 Solicitations 10 Biggest Takeaways

Marvel Comics February 2026 solicitations have arrived! With it we see Marvel beginning the march to their big 2026 event, Armageddon. Along with that Marvel is going even heavier into crossovers with other Disney-owned properties. We also see that a new Spider-Man crossover will begin in February. With that all in mind let’s break down the ten biggest takeaways from Marvel Comics February 2026 solicitations.

10) GODZILLA LEADS NEW MARVEL INFINITY EVENT

Godzilla is certainly enjoying crossovers with just about every brand there is. Marvel seems to have found a lot of success with their crossovers with Godzilla. We see that being the case with the reveal of Godzilla: Infinity Roar continuing that partnership.

I’ll be honest that, this latest Godzilla x Marvel crossover is a bit of a stretch. Already bring the Infinity Gems into the crossover with Godzilla feels like Marvel’s run out of ideas. That’s not surprising since Godzilla is a tough character to write new stories for if not done right. And Marvel also has the problem of DC Comics doing their own crossovers with Godzilla.

We’ll see if Gerry Duggan can prove there are still a lot of legs with Godzilla crossover with Infinity Roar.

9) PLANET APES JOINS ON THE FOX/MARVEL CROSSOVER PARTY

Marvel is expanding their crossovers with 20th Century Fox properties by having a Planet of the Apes vs Fantastic Four crossover. This crossover appears to be with the original Planet of the Apes characters. This leaves Marvel room to do stories with the modern Planet of the Apes version of the franchise later down the line.

This latest crossover shows that Marvel is not going to be stopping their momentum of tapping into other Disney properties. It is only a matter of time before we get an eventual Star Wars crossover. Though that will be a higher hurdle to jump over than the 20th Century Fox properties that Disney has set up.

8) MARC SPECTOR GETS BURIED IN NEW MOON KNIGHT SERIES

Moon Knight is one of the characters in Marvel’s roster that they will not give up on. No matter what they are going to try to make Moon Knight a breakout star no matter how many times they have to try. We see that once again with a new series titled Marc Spector: Moon Knight.

Marc Spector: Moon Knight does have a chance of working out simply because of the creative team. Specifically, having Jed MacKay on the series is the best possible choice. MacKay is someone well liked by Marvel fans like and he has been writing Moon Knight the longest out of any other writer currently.

It also looks like MacKay will be going back to basics in a way by bringing back the classic Moon Knight costume. What that actually means for the next phase of MacKay’s Moon Knight run is anyone’s guess.

7) MARVEL LAUNCHES NEW PUNISHER SERIES

Marvel has been rolling out Punisher’s return in a different way than normal. Rather than going right into a new Punisher ongoing we’ve seen him in a mini-series with Daredevil and a Max series. Now we are getting an official Punisher ongoing with Benjamin Percy and Jose Luis Soares.

Percy is a good pick for an ongoing Punisher series set in the main Marvel Universe. Percy has proven he can write Punisher style stories with his runs on Wolverine and X-Force. That alone has shown he is the best pick in the roster of writers they have currently.

Though the question with Punisher will always be if he can fit into what the Marvel Universe is right now. He’s always been the odd duck that the more we get into the Multiverse and other superhero stuff Punisher doesn’t fit in the main Marvel Universe. We’ll see if Percy can find a good niche for Punisher to fill and develop his own corner again.

6) BLACK PANTHER CELEBRATES 60TH ANNIVERSARY

February will be a big month for Black Panther. The month will see Black Panther join elite company as the character will celebrate his 60th anniversary. Like with other milestone anniversaries, Marvel will be releasing a Black Panther 60th Anniversary Special one-shot.

Celebrating Black Panther is a great thing to see. He’s been an iconic part of the Marvel Universe even before his MCU debut. He is as important of a character to Marvel as any Avenger, Fantastic Four, and X-Men. The line-up for the anniversary special are all great picks to give a proper 60th anniversary celebration.

What I hope comes out of this anniversary special is a better idea of the long-term plans for the character. Because going into 2026 we only have the Black Panther mini-series that focuses on furthering the cosmic direction of the character. Though because of its mini-series nature it indicates this is only a temporary direction. What Black Panther’s long-term direction and possible creative team could be hinted at in the one-shot.

5) ULTIMATE ENDGAME HEATS UP 2026

Ultimate Endgame will reach its mid-point in February. To mark the occasion Ultimate Endgame #3 is teasing a lot of major twists to launch into the second half of the event. As we see “shocking twists, painful deaths and massive reveals, this epic is heating up fast” teased.

Given that Ultimate Endgame is putting an end to this iteration of the Ultimate Universe the deaths could be anyone. There is no one safe because of the nature of the event. That creates a different level of excitement that’s not normally there with usual Marvel big events. That should make The Maker an even bigger villain you want to see ultimately defeated when all is said and done.

4) CYCLOPS & STORM LEAD NEW X-MEN ERA

X-Men: Shadows of Tomorrow will enter its second month in February. For its second month we will get new mini-series starring Cyclops, Storm, Magik, X-23, Colossus, and Deadpool joining X-Men’s publishing line-up.

What makes these additions to the X-Men’s publishing line so interesting is that they are all mini-series. This does paint the picture that X-Men: Shadows of Tomorrow is likely a temporary direction rather than a long-term one. What we don’t know is if this is done because the X-Men will be involved with the Armageddon event or that there will be a major X-Men crossover in 2026.

I’m leaning towards another major X-Men crossover as Marvel knows that there is power in having the franchise have a long-term direction. If they are going to move away from the Shadows of Tomorrow banner by the end of the summer of 2026 a new crossover could set-up the new foundation. The timing would work out to start developing the X-Men’s long-term status quo ahead of them being part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

3) CAPTAIN AMERICA & WOLVERINE BEGIN MARCH TO ARMAGEDDON

The march towards Armageddon will begin in February. It will be kicked off by Armageddon writer Chip Zdarsky in the Captain America ongoing and new Wolverine: Weapons of Armageddon mini-series. Both series will set the tone of what we will see the Armageddon build to be.

On the Captain America side, it’ll be good to see Zdarsky now being able to do things in the present day with the series. One World Under Doom forced Zdarsky to be creative with how he started his Captain America run. That’s not a bad thing as Zdarsky planted some obvious seeds in how he started this run on Captain America.

Now we know Armageddon will involve the Origin Boxes that Miles Morales received at the end of Ultimate Spider-Man: Incursion. The Origin Boxes could play a role in these Captain America and Wolverine comics. That or Zdarsky will spend more time developing other elements. Possibly even hinting at who the mysterious silhouette character was in the teaser for Armageddon.

2) DAREDEVIL GETS NEW CREATIVE TEAM

Marvel Comics February 2026 Solicitations: Daredevil #1

Daredevil is getting a new creative team in 2026. They are writer Stephanie Phillips and artist Lee Garbett. They will be following Saladin Ahmed’s 25 issue run on Daredevil. The length of Ahmed’s run is shorter than the normal Daredevil run. It didn’t help that Ahmed’s Daredevil run didn’t seem to have the critical reception or talked about like other popular Daredevil runs.

Stephanie Phillips is a great pick for the next Daredevil writer. She has shown she understands how to write in the Marvel Universe through her work on Spider-Gwen, Phoenix, Rogue & Gambit, and Planet She-Hulk. And if you want an idea of what she could do with a character like Daredevil go check out her BOOM! Studios series Grim.

What Phillips needs to make sure to do is just go back to basics. Let’s get away from all the mystical stuff that while it worked for Zdarsky, it isn’t where Daredevil is at its best. If Phillips does want to go in that direction she’ll need to start with a grounded approach and build back up to how the mystical Hand elements work. As long as she does that she’ll avoid the problems the most recent creative run ran into.

1) AMAZING SPIDER-MAN & VENOM KICK OFF DEATH SPIRAL CROSSOVER

Peter Parker will finally make his return from all his space adventures and get back home. Though he won’t have time to get used to the impact Ben Reilly and Norman Osborn had on his Peter Parker and Spider-Man lives. That is due to Marvel Comics February 2026 solicitations revealing we will see the kick off for the Amazing Spider-Man, Carnage, and Venom crossover, Death Spiral.

The Death Spiral event is something that Marvel has been teasing since this year’s Free Comic Book Day. Given that Death Spiral is happening at the start of 2026 the crossover event will likely dictate the direction of the Spider-Man franchise for the new year. There will certainly be big things that happen that change the status quo. What is also likely is that Death Spiral will act as a prelude to a bigger Spider-Man event that will involve the Spider-Verse either at the end of 2026 or in 2027.

While Peter will be busy with this crossover with Venom and Carnage he will have to eventually deal with what happened during his time away. Ben Reilly will likely not give up being Peter easily. If he does it will be part of a bigger plan that he has as Chasm. If that is the case Marvel could be building Ben to be an endgame boss for what will be the next Spider-Man event involving the entire Spider-Man Family.
