Marvel Comics March 2026 solicitations are here! With it we see the march to Armageddon continuing as we head closer to the summer. Along with that we get more information on what to expect from Amazing Spider-Man, X-Men, Avengers, and more. Let’s break down the ten biggest takeaways from Marvel Comics March 2026 solicitations.
10) PHOENIX & INFERNAL HULK BATTLE THE MARVEL CREATORS

After being noticeably absent in the Shadows of Tomorrow direction for the X-Men we are seeing Phoenix make her return. That is happening in the X-Men 2026 Annual as Phoenix leads Wolverine and Nightcrawler against a new mutant group known as the Creationist. What stands out from this is the name of the mutant group. Specifically, because Phoenix isn’t the only one dealing with reality bending.
Over in Infernal Hulk #5, it is stated that the Hulk will be clashing with the Creator of the Marvel Universe. Does this mean Stan Lee is making a new Marvel cameo? Or is it someone else entirely?
Whatever the case it is interesting to see both Phoenix and Infernal Hulk dealing with creator like beings. The Infernal Hulk story may be the most consequential one, with a major fallout that could factor into Armageddon.
9) STAGE SET FOR DOCTOR DOOMS RETURN

We all knew that Marvel wouldn’t go very long without Doctor Doom around. Despite One World Under Doom ending in a way that would mean Doctor Doom is done that means nothing in the comic book world. March alone Marvel is dedicating the entire month to celebrate Doctor Doom with most series having a variant cover featuring Doctor Doom.
If that wasn’t hint enough the Dungeons of Doom #3 solicitation and covers heavily imply Doctor Doom is returning. If he doesn’t return at the end of the Dungeons of Doom mini-series it will likely be set-up in the mini-series. Marvel can’t help themselves with how Marvel Studios is putting everything in making Avengers Doomsday their biggest movie since Endgame.
8) NOVA VS STAR-LORD START NEW COSMIC WAR

The post-Imperial status quo has been slowly rolling out as we get more and more titles added to the Marvel cosmic side. One of the comic books that led the way for Marvel’s cosmic direction is Nova: Centurion. That was understandable given that Nova was one of the most impacted individual characters in Imperial. He made a sacrifice that in the end came back to bite him as he was left without any of his Imperial allies.
The biggest fallout from the decision was Nova and Star-Lord no longer being best friends. That is a big shake-up given how close Nova and Star-Lord have been for the last two decades. Now that status quo will be revisited in Nova: Centurion #5 as former friends will be reuniting.
This meeting won’t be a nice one if the cover for Nova: Centurion #5 is any indication. It will also be our first real look at Star-Lord’s post-Imperial status quo as Emperor of Spartax. This is a whole new direction for the character. And it will say a lot about who Star-Lord is now with this meeting with Nova.
7) MARCH TO ARMAGEDDON CONTINUES

The road to Armageddon continues for the Marvel Universe. Along with the Captain America ongoing and Wolverine: Weapons of Armageddon mini-series we are getting a new one-shot. That one-shot is part of a the Comics Giveaway Day promotion Marvel will be doing in March.
The one-shot is titled Armageddon/X-Men #1 CGD 2026. This comic book they are giving away will likely be similar to the comics they giveaway during Free Comic Book Day. It’ll give us a hint at what to expect from Armageddon, and the 2026 X-Men-centric event. Outside of that not expecting much more and that is all it needs to be.
The big questions around all this is if we will see the Armageddon/X-Men one-shot introduce more multiverse elements for the big event. We know that the Origin Box from the Ultimate Universe will play a factor. But will we get teases for a greater involvement from the Ultimate Universe or the multiverse? We’ll wait and see.
6) DEATH MARKS PENULTIMATE CHAPTER OF ULTIMATE ENDGAME

Ultimate Endgame #4 marks the penultimate chapter of the big event. With such a major issue and statement in its solicitation big things are teased. Specifically it says “heroes will fall, villains will rise and your favorite characters will be forced to make difficult sacrifices!”
Based on that statement we may are likely to see a major death. Or at least that is what the expectation is set. Especially considering that the main cover for Ultimate Endgame #4 being hit with the black “Classified” censor to avoid spoilers. Then on the variant cover we see a heavily beat up Spider-Man on it.
Ultimate Spider-Man being one of the heroes who “falls” wouldn’t be surprising. It would make all the headlines that Marvel is looking to generate with Ultimate Endgame. We will have to wait and see.
5) PETER PARKER & MARY JANE WATSON REUNION TEASES (AGAIN!!!)

With the Death Spiral crossover between Amazing Spider-Man, Venom, and Carnage we knew that Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson can’t avoid each other. And it looks like Amazing Spider-Man #23 is the comic book positioned for Peter to learn that MJ is currently Venom. That should make the comic book one with a lot of tension to not be hidden very well.
Marvel certainly knows this is a reunion fans have been looking forward to as the variant cover for Amazing Spider-Man #23 features MJ and Peter kissing. That will certainly make Peter-MJ shippers happy that they could possibly get back together. But I do not expect that to happen at all. Marvel’s current editorial has made it clear they plan to keep Peter and MJ apart and even if they get together it’ll be for a short-time period at best.
As for the Death Spiral crossover itself, with each new chapter solicitation the vibe around it feels like it is a set-up story. This isn’t the end-all-be-all crossover between Amazing Spider-Man, Venom, and Carnage.
Instead, Death Spiral looks to be used as a crossover that will set-up an even bigger Spider-Man even that will kick off at the end of 2026 or beginning of 2027. Which is something Marvel teased with the announcement of the 2026 Free Comic Book Day comic starring Spider-Man.
4) JED MACKAY’S AVENGERS RUN COMES TO AN END

As soon as Marvel announced the Armageddon event for 2026 Jed MacKay’s Avengers run didn’t seem to be lasting much longer. Now we know that to be true as MacKay’s run comes to an end with March’s Avengers #36. It is too bad that MacKay’s run is ending just two issues after Avengers #800 legacy issue that is Avengers #34. That would’ve been a nice way to celebrate his run ending with a major milestone issue.
That said, it is not surprising. As mentioned we have the Armageddon event happening in the summer of 2026. On top of that Marvel hates having series with high numbers and there was no way they would renumber Avengers with their legacy number.
With all that in mind, it would not be surprising that outside of New Avengers we don’t see another Avengers ongoing for the rest of 2026. Things are set up for 2026 to be filled with Avengers mini-series from origins, a Avengers vs Doctor Doom, and Armageddon tie-ins. That all should give Marvel plenty of opportunities to fill the market with Avengers titles. That will also help provide an opening for the Avengers ongoing that launches post-Armageddon to be a big deal with the “break” the series is getting.
3) DAREDEVIL LEADS ARMY OF NEW 2026 Comics

Stephanie Phillips and Lee Garbett will be ushering in a new era for Daredevil as they take over the Man Without Fears series. With a new creative team comes a new direction that Daredevil has honestly needed for quite some time.
As much good stuff has been done with Daredevil the last few years it has all caught up with the character. That was seen in Saladin Ahmed’s recent run that had to deal with a lot of continuity of the creative runs that proceeded him. It made that run ultimately one of the more forgettable Daredevil creative runs in recent memory.
Now with Phillips and Garbett joining on there is a chance for a fresh start for the character and fans. Phillips has shown she knows how to write a variety of characters in the Marvel Universe with her work on titles like Spider-Gwen and Planet She-Hulk. Her work on Grim over at BOOM! Studios also shows she knows how to delve into darker storytelling. So she is a very good fit as the new Daredevil writer. Plus having Garbett on art guarantees this will be a great looking comic book.
2) X-MEN UNITED OPEN NEW MUTANT SCHOOL

Marvel finally announced the title they should’ve announced for the post-Krakoa era for the X-Men. That title is X-Men United by writer Eve Ewing and artist Tiago Palma. X-Men United will see the X-Men create a new school for mutants. Though it will not be called the Xavier Institute for Gifted Youngers or be at a rebuilt Xavier Mansion. Instead it will be at Graymatter Lane.
Ewing best work at Marvel has been with the X-Men franchise. Her Exceptional X-Men series laid the foundation for what the veteran X-Men teaching next generation mutants. The run was quietly one of the best of the direct post-Krakoa era X-Men comics.
If Ewing can tap into what made Wolverine and the X-Men special back in 2012 than X-Men United can be the standout X-Men title for 2026. X-Men United being the place where all the current X-Men will be seen together adds to it. We see this with the mention of “Wolverine, Beast, Prodigy, Magneto and more” as part of the staff. They are all characters in different X-Men titles. So Ewing has a lot of room to do something other titles in the franchise are not doing right now.
1) IMPERIAL GUARDIANS ASSEMBLE

By far the comic book that got me most excited from Marvel Comics March 2026 solicitations is Imperial Guardians. Marvel has been missing a Guardians of the Galaxy book in their publishing line-up. Imperial Guardians looks to be filling that role in the post-Imperial status quo for Marvel’s cosmic corner.
That is not what makes me excited for Imperial Guardians. It is the fact that Dan Abnett is returning to write Imperial Guardians. Dan Abnett had a legendary run on Guardians of the Galaxy that does not get enough credit for being the true foundation for what the team is in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Abnett showed that the Guardians of the Galaxy can be seen on the level of the Avengers, X-Men, and Fantastic Four.
The line-up for Imperial Guardians is exactly the type that Abnett will excel at writing. Captain Marvel, Gamora, Amadeus Cho, Cosmic Ghost Rider, and Darkhawk are a great mix of a wide range of powers, personalities, and dynamics. Captain Marvel being part of the Imperial Guardians is a direction she’s needed for a while. She is much more at home with cosmic stories than Earth based ones. It’ll be exciting to see where this book goes in the post-Imperial status quo.
