Scarlett #2 Preview – Energon Universe Meets Clan Arashikage!

Scarlett #1 was a strong debut for the latest G.I. Joe series entry in the Energon Universe by the creative team of Kelly Thompson, Marco Ferrari, and Lee Loughridge. Continuing the momentum from the first issue, Skybound and Image Comics has provided us with a first look at Scarlett #2 to share.

Arriving on July 3rd, the upcoming issue will continue the mission to infiltrate the Clan Arashikage. That is something further teased in the solicitation:

In order to find her missing friend Jinx, Scarlett goes undercover, deep into the belly of Clan Arashikage, to discover the truth. But the man known as Storm Shadow might have other ideas…

Building out the G.I. Joe corner of the Energon Universe is something that Scarlett will be going on. As we saw in the first issue, thanks to her mission to infiltrate Clan Arashikage we saw both Jinx and Storm Shadow make an appearance. The appearances of other G.I. Joe characters wouldn’t be surprising to see in this and future issues.

The main cover will be handled by series artist Marco Ferrari. Additional variant covers will be available by artists Karl Kerschl, Gleb Melnikov, Paolo Rivera, and Annie Wu. You can check out the covers and four-page preview below:
