There is something that happens in Absolute Flash #9 that could make this one of the more important single issues from DC Comics going into 2026. That development is made stronger by the interactions Wally West has with The Rogues. There’s a lot of tension created by Jeff Lemire and Nick Robles as you know something is going to happen. When it does you wondering what the ending of Absolute Flash #9 means.

Comic Book Reviews 11/19/25: Amazing Spider-Man #16AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #16

CREATIVE TEAM

Writer: Joe Kelly

Artist: John Romita Jr.

Inker: Scott Hanna

Colorist: Marcio Menyz

Letterer: Joe Caramagna

If there is anything that this period in the history of Amazing Spider-Man has been teaching us it is the importance of the supporting cast. This is shown by how Amazing Spider-Man #16 does a better job at letting the entire cast have time to show why they are important. It helps make Norman Osborn and Ben Reilly more compelling leads with how they are each representing Peter Parker. It leads to a second half of Amazing Spider-Man where the puzzle pieces are finally connecting in this segment of Joe Kelly’s run.

Overall Rating: 7 Night Girls out of 10

Comic Book Reviews 11/19/25: G.I. JOE #14G.I. JOE #14

CREATIVE TEAM

Writer: Joshua Williamson

G.I. JOE #14 is an exciting second chapter in the “Dreadnok War.” Tom Reilly steals the show with incredible action sequences that showcase his talents to choregraph outstanding fight sequences. Comic Book Reviews 11/19/25: Mighty Morphin Power Rangers/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III #3MIGHTY MORPHIN POWER RANGERS/TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES III #3

CREATIVE TEAM

Writer: Ryan Parrott

Artist: Vincenzo Federico

Colorist: Raul Angulo

Letterer: Ed Dukeshire

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III #3 is a lot of fighting and that is exactly what it needs to be. The entire time you are reading and looking at this issue you are getting more and more excited by everything going on. There is a big event feel to everything as the Power Rangers, Ninja Turtles, and Shredder and Lord Zedd’s forces are going all out. Most importantly, you feel how personal things have got due to what happened in the first issue of this crossover. That all leads into an ending that is all fanservice in the best ways.

Overall Rating: 9.5 Night Girls out of 10

Comic Book Reviews 11/19/25: Nightwing #132NIGHTWING #132

CREATIVE TEAM

Writer: Dan Watters

Artist: Dexter Soy

Colorist: Veronica Gandini

Letterer: Wes Abbott

Dan Watters and Dexter Soy certainly know how to create scary tension in their storytelling. The “Cirque Du Sin” storyline that Nightwing #132 continues really shows that. The battle Nightwing has with Olivia Pearce is choreographed to have as much tension as it does intensity. Even though you know Nightwing can defeat Olivia the deeper they get into their fight that is not the result you’re looking for. Because of Olivia’s backstory with Dick Grayson, you are left wondering what the results of the fight will lead into. The result ends up being a haunting end to Nightwing #132 that leaves us in a space where we don’t know where things will go next.

Overall Rating: 9 Night Girls out of 10

Comic Book Reviews 11/19/25: Nova: Centurion #1NOVA: CENTURION #1

CREATIVE TEAM

Writer: Jed MacKay

Artist: Alvaro Lopez

Colorist: Mattia Iacono

Letterer: Cory Petit

Nova: Centurion #1 does everything you want from a successful debut issue for a new series. Everything from the rules from the new Marvel cosmic status quo to Nova’s Richard Rider current situation is showcased. Yes, the events of Imperial are key to how things start but the event isn’t required reading. From the very opening scene we get to see Nova at his best and how Richard’s decision in Imperial has created this tough status quo for himself. How the universe reacts to Richard throughout this issue does a lot to set-up intriguing possibilities for this series to tap into.

Overall Rating: 8.5 Night Girls out of 10

Comic Book Reviews 11/19/25: One World Under Doom #9ONE WORLD UNDER DOOM #9

CREATIVE TEAM

Writer: Ryan North; Steve Orlando

Artist: R.B. Silva; Bernard Chang

Colorist: David Curiel; Ruth Redmond

Letterer: Travis Lanham

One World Under Doom #9 looks great. Artist R.B. Silva and colorist David Curiel make this finale look as epic as possible even without a major action sequence. It is just to bad the narrative choice of how to end Emperor Doom’s rain is a swing and miss. There are elements to the fairy tale angle that works. But it is such a dominant narrative device that it creates a feeling that this finale ran out of time in order to maximize its full potential. Click here to read the full review.

Comic Book Reviews 11/19/25: Power Rangers Prime #12POWER RANGERS PRIME #12

CREATIVE TEAM

Writer: Melissa Flores

Artist: Michael Yg

Colorist: Joana Lafuente

Letterer: Ed Dukeshire

Power Rangers #12 does its job of delivering a strong conclusion to the initial run for this series. There is a payoff to every character arc from both the protagonist and antagonist side of things. By the end we are left in a spot where you will be very invested in seeing where things will go next. The investment that’s created is so strong you are left excited for the future of Power Rangers Prime. Click here to read the full review.

Comic Book Reviews 11/19/25: The Ultimates #18THE ULTIMATES #18

CREATIVE TEAM

Writer: Deniz Camp

Artist: Juan Frigeri

Letterer: Travis Lanham

The Ultimates #18 is an example of how important it is to make the most of a build in order to maximize the payoff its leading to. There is so much of what Deniz Camp and Juan Frigeri do in this issue that should be an exciting lead into The Maker’s return. Unfortunately because of how poorly the Ultimates have been built as a team what Iron Lad leads the team in doing just does not hit. Everything that happens here feels absolutely forced because this series ran out of time. It is just a montage of things that happen that’s made to manufacture excitement rather than the natural final step into Ultimate Endgame.

Overall Rating: 4 Night Girls out of 10
