Duke #4 Preview – First Look At M.A.R.S. Arrival

Duke #3 delivered a lot of intriguing developments with the Baroness making a major impact. Now ahead of its next issue release Skybound and Image Comics has provided us with a first look at Duke #4 to share. Duke #4 will released on March 27, 2024.

The latest issue will continue Joshua Williamson, Tom Reilly and Jordie Bellaire narrative with the following teaser about Duke #4:

Duke is close to discovering the truth about the alien robots that have landed on Earth. But who—or what—is M.A.R.S.? 

The arrival of the M.A.R.S. organization appears to be a major game changer. We’ve already seen the impact Cobra Commander has had with where the Energon Universe is going. With M.A.R.S. arrival we could see even a greater tie-in to what is going on over in Transformer and Void Rivals.

Duke #4 main cover will be handled by series artist Tom Reilly. There will also be variant covers by Andrei Bressan & Adriano Lucas, Tyler Boss & Jason Wordie, Taurin Clarke, and Ben Oliver. You can check out the covers and three-page preview below.

LOS ANGELES 02/29/2024 — Today Skybound and Image Comics, in collaboration with leading toy and game company Hasbro, revealed new interior pages and variant covers for Duke #4 from writer Joshua Williamson (DC’s SupermanDark Ride), artist Tom Reilly (The Thing) and colorist Jordie Bellaire (W0rldtr33). The penultimate issue of the Energon Universe’s acclaimed limited series arrives in comic book shops on March 27, 2024.

One of four action-packed G.I. JOE miniseries that introduce the iconic characters of the G.I. JOE and Cobra factions to the Energon Universe, Duke is running concurrently with Cobra Commander from writer Joshua Williamson, artist Andrea Milana (Impact Winter: Rook) and colorist Annalisa Leoni (Oblivion Song). These miniseries set the stage for a fresh new take on G.I. JOE, Cobra and the iconic characters that you only think you know in a shared universe with TRANSFORMERS and Void Rivals!

The Energon Universe officially began last summer with the surprise first appearance of iconic TRANSFORMERS character Jetfire in Void Rivals #1 from Robert Kirkman (Invincible, The Walking Dead) and Lorenzo De Felici (Kroma), introducing the historic new collaboration between Hasbro and Skybound, with TRANSFORMERS and G.I.
