Skybound has provided us with a first look at G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero #302 to share. After the intense return of Larry Hama and Chris Mooneyham with G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero #301, things will take a much more somber tone with next month’s release. As you’ll see in the preview of G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero #302 releasing on December 20th there will be a funeral held in the fallout of the ending of Hama and Mooneyham return issue.

Joined by colorist Francesco Segala, Hama and Mooneyham will show how the JOES handle the death of Wade Collins, who was killed by Cobra Commander during G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero #301. As teased in the solicitation this will be a time for mourning:

JOE: A Real American Hero #302 by legendary series writer Larry Hama (Marvel’s Wolverine), fan-favorite artist Chris Mooneyham (DC’s Nightwing, Sgt. Rock and the Unknown Soldier) and colorist Francesco Segala (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers). Featuring covers by the incomparable Andy Kubert (Marvel’s X-Men), the hugely anticipated issue #302 of the iconic series arrives in comic book shops on December 20, 2023.
