Rita Repulsa’s transformation to Mistress Vile has shaken the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers to their core. And it does not appear that Mistress Vile is done with her own brand of chaos. In fact, she is just starting. That’s what it appears as BOOM! Studios today provided us with a preview of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #107 which will release on April 19, 2023.
Series creative team writer Melissa Flores (Power Rangers, The Dead Lucky), artist Simona Di Gianfelice (Firefly), colorist Raúl Angulo (Mighty Morphin), and letterer Ed Dukeshire look to continue the Recharged Era. They are doing so with not just what Mistress Vile is up to next but following up on the new form Lord Zedd attained at the end of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #106. We see this with the tease from the solicitation for Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #107 that states:
Zedd is more powerful than ever, while Grace’s second in command keeps a past plan alive, which may provide a cutting edge in the battle with Dark Specter… or prove to be the Rangers’ undoing. Meanwhile, Mistress Vile finds the ultimate use for the Vessel, whose identity finally comes to light!
Along with the main cover by star artist Taurin Clarke (Miles Morales: Spider-Man) Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #107 will have two variant covers available by acclaimed artists Bon Bernardo (Mighty Morphin) and Jorge Corona (Batgirls) with colors by Sarah Stern (Plush).
