2023 has been a big year for Power Rangers as the franchise has been celebrating their 30th anniversary. There has been no shortage of content for fans to celebrate the anniversary, from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always reunion special on Netflix to all the toys and comic books being released throughout the year. The celebration isn’t stopping as on August 30 BOOM! Studios and Hasbro are releasing a new celebration one-shot comic book titled Mighty Morphin Power Rangers 30th Anniversary Special. Ahead of the release we’ve gotten an preview of what we can expect from this special one-shot.
As you’ll see from the preview below BOOM! Studios has assembled an all-star line-up for the five stories that will be told in the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers 30th Anniversary Special. Familiar names to fans of the Power Rangers comics returning for this special are Ryan Parrott, Mat Groom, and Mairghread Scott along with current Mighty Morphin Power Rangers writer Melissa Flores. Joining them on the writers side are Maria Ingrande Mora, Mat Hotson, and the original Mighty Morphin Pink Power Ranger Amy Jo Johnson. They will each be paired with the talented art teams of Hendry Prasetya, Marco Renna and Daniel Bayliss, Eleonora Carlini, Francesco Mortarino, and Jo Mi-Gyeong.

This anniversary issue is full of Morphinominal content worthy of the 30-year legacy with spotlights on Ernie in Angel Grove, Alpha 5’s struggle to find his true purpose, a mind-bending “What If?” story about Tommy’s powers that introduces an all-new alternate universe, a deeper look into Tommy’s relationship with Kat, and a dive into the Ranger Academy.
