BOOM! Studios provided us with a first look at The Seasons Have Teeth #2, releasing this Wednesday, May 17th. This is the second issue of BOOM! Studios brand new 4-issue horror series from writer Dan Watters (Home Sick Pilots), artist Sebastián Cabrol (Anthony Bourdain’s Hungry Ghosts), colorist Dan Jackson, and letterer Nate Piekos of Blambot.
For those that may have not picked up The Seasons Have Teeth #1, the series follows Andrew, a retired conflict photographer, in a drab, colorless world that changes with the seasons. With the coming of each season – Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter – mysterious and powerful god-like creatures appear. The first issue gave us a our first look at what to expect with each coming season as we saw Andrew witness what goes on during the Spring season.
Following up on the events of The Seasons Have Teeth #1, the second issue will take place during the summer as teased in the solicitation:
Summer, the most chaotic and destructive of all seasons, creates a flood of refugees and international tensions, with Andrew as the newly-acclaimed photographer there to document the onslaught. But it’s not just the monstrous season that brings chaos, as human prejudice and hatred heats up, bringing up painful memories of Andrew’s past conflict photography. With his dreams and finite life waning, Andrew is determined to capture the perfect shot… even if there’s a risk of it being his last.
The Seasons Have Teeth #2 features a standard cover by artist Qistina Khalidah (An Unkindness of Ravens). In addition to the main cover by Khalidah The Seasons Have Teeth #2 will have two variant covers by Sebastián Fiumara (Lucifer) and Christian Ward (The Expanse: Dragon Tooth) available as well.
