BOOM! Studios have given us a first look at Once Upon A Time At The End Of The World #6. This upcoming issue releasing on June 7th which will begin Once Upon A Time At The End Of The World’s second story arc, “The Rise And Fall Of Golgonooza.”
Joining series writer Jason Aaron (Thor, The Avengers, Southern Bastards) for Once Upon A Time At The End Of The World’s new story arc are artist Leila del Duca (Wondergirl: Homecoming), colorist Tamra Bonvillain (Sins of the Black Flamingo), and letterer AndWorld Design (Something is Killing the Children). Additionally, Alexandre Tefenkgi (The Good Asian) will work on this issue as a guest artist with colors by Lee Loughridge, who both worked on the series’ first story arc.
Once Upon A Time At The End Of The World is a series that showcases three unique artistic teams taking on a vision of the end of the world that’s brutal and nostalgic, whimsical and grounded, and ultimately, timeless. For the start of the new story arc Once Upon A Time At The End Of The World #6 teases:
“Mezzy and Maceo found the unimaginable–a secluded suburban community, well-preserved and filled with everything they’d need to survive until adulthood. As adults, however, the highest highs of romance and contentment are shadowed by dysfunction, just as the ever-present horrors of the wasteland surround their quaint community. How long can their little piece of paradise last?”
Once Upon A Time At The End Of The World #6 will include main and variant covers by highly acclaimed illustrator Kevin Wada (Specs). Variant covers by famed artists Leila Del Duca (Wondergirl: Homecoming) with colors by Tamra Bonvillain (Sins of the Black Flamingo), Stephanie Hans (Journey Into Mystery), and Jenny Frison (Harley Quinn) will also be available. Once Upon A Time At The End Of The World #6 will be on sale in local comic book shops and digital stores on June 7, 2023.
Copies of Once Upon A Time At The End Of The World Volume 1 Softcover, collecting the first five issues of the series, will be available June 13, 2023.
