Jiangshi X Chapter 1 Review

Jiangshi X Chapter 1 Review – Manga Revolution Podcast Episode 51

Welcome back to the Manga Revolution Podcast! On this week’s episode Rokk and I are talking all the newest manga series that debuted in Shonen Jump, Jiangshi X by Norihiko Kurazono.

Before breaking out on their own Kurazono spent time as the manga assistant for Hiroyuki Kikuta, Katsutoshi Kawai, Kei Kawano, Mizuki Kawashita, and Kousuke Iijima. Kurazono’s first manga series was released in 2009, titled Mahou Gyoushounin Roma that lasted 25 chapters. Kurazono went on to create several other series since then including Chitei Ryokou, Automation, and Liber that all lasted between 19 to 25 chapters.

Kurazono would then have a one-shot version of Jiangshi X published back in December 27, 2021 as part of Shonen Jump+ App Winter One-Shot Round. Shonen Jump would then greenlight Jiangshi X for serialization on Shōnen Jump Plus online magazine. Shonen Jump also decided to release an English simulpub Jiangshi X on VIZ, Shonen Jump, and Manga Plus services. That brings us to the first chapter of Jiangshi X that Rokk and I recorded a review that you can listen to below.
