Marvel Comics November 2026 comic book solicitations have arrived! The penultimate month of the year will see give us our first look at the state of the Marvel Universe post-Armageddon with a new Avengers ongoing series. The month will also see the end of the X-Men and Fantastic Four crossover event, DNX. What else do we have to look forward to from Marvel in November? Find out with our ten big takeaways from Marvel Comics November 2026 comic book solicitations.
10) BLACK CAT BEING CONFIRMED AS A MUTANT
Black Cat #16 solicitation doesn’t try to hide the big hook of that issue to sell comics. That is the possibility Black Cat’s bad luck power, also known as Tychokinesis, could actually become a hidden mutant power. Now based on how the solicitation is written Black Cat being mutant will just be a tease to set up the crossover with the X-Men.
The crossover between Black Cat and the X-Men kicking off with Emma Frost is a great call. Black Cat and Emma Frost just seem like two characters that you would think would have interacted more than they have. That will add a unique hook to see how these two characters play off one another, possibly setting up long-term friendship when all is said and done.
9) PREDATOR VS PUNISHER TURN NEW YORK CITY INTO A WARZONE
Predator has been making the round fight every character in the Marvel Universe. Now their path through the Marvel Universe has led them to Punisher. That’s right, we are finally getting the dream match up of Predator vs Punisher by writer Frank Tieri and artist Jesus Saiz.
When Marvel first started putting out the Predator vs comic books it certainly stood out that they didn’t do a Punisher mini-series from the start. Out of all the characters in the Marvel Universe it makes most sense for Predator and Punisher to clash. This will be the ultimate test of these two killing machines.
And as we see with this mini-series, it is opening the opportunity for Predator to come across the mafia members of the Marvel Universe. That’s a world that Punisher lives in and Predator will be at home with to make this an even more brutal affair.
8) MARVEL REVISITING THE SECRET WARS INCURSION EVENTS
With Avengers: Doomsday around the corner it was obvious that Marvel would start putting out comic books revisiting Jonathan Hickman’s Secret Wars. That comic book is what the next two Avengers MCU movies are being inspired by. And Marvel sees the dollar signs that come with making comic books that take us back to that event.
The way Marvel will be doing this in the lead up to and into the start of 2027 is releasing five different one-shots titled Incursions. Where Secret Wars focused on the Earth-616 and Ultimate Universes, the five Incursions one-shots will focus on other alternate Marvel Universes clashing.
The first of these one-shots is titled X-Men: Incursions. The X-Men kicking things off is an obvious route to go. First the X-Men are the second hottest franchise Marvel has going, just behind Spider-Man. The X-Men also have the most alternate universe around them so there are plenty of universe they are the center of that can clash with each other. Case in point, we are getting the House of M and Days of Future Past universes clashing in X-Men: Incursions.
7) CAPTAIN AMERICA DEALS WITH POST-ARMAGEDDON
Outside of the new Avengers ongoing series the other comic book that will heavily deal with the aftermath of Avengers: Armageddon will be Captain America. That’s not surprising since it is also written by Chip Zdarsky. The big thing that we will be seeing Captain America deal with is S.H.I.E.L.D. return as a United Nations backed organization.
How the UN backing the new version of S.H.I.E.L.D. being already been seen in Avengers: Armageddon. The character that will benefit most from this is not Captain America. Rather it will be Nick Fury Jr., who Marvel has finally found something to do. Nick Fury Jr. has just been floating around since taking his father, the iconic Nick Fury’s, job in the Marvel Universe, showing he does not carry the weight of his father.
The other big tease we get from Captain America #17’s solicitation is that one of Cap’s oldest enemies will be returning. Red Skull would be the obvious route to go. Hopefully that is not the case as Baron Zemo, Arnim Zola, Crossbones, King Cobra, and many others could benefit from being positioned as the villain getting a major spotlighted return.
6) FROM VENOM TO FRIENDLY NEIGHBORHOOD MARY JANE
Mary Jane Watson’s time as Venom is going to be coming to an end when the Queen In Black event is over. But that does not mean that MJ will be fading back to being a supporting character in a Spider-Man comic book. At least for five months, MJ is getting a new mini-series titled Friendly Neighborhood Mary Jane.
The new direction for MJ post-Venom appears to be taking what she learned working for Tony Stark to create her own company. The company will lean into her background as a model and actress as WatsonGLOBAL focuses on production. Though there are hints that we will also see MJ continue her superhero journey as the Venom symbiote left her with something top secret. That could be another symbiote so MJ can continue her hero work under a new identity.
Friendly Neighborhood Mary Jane being a mini-series rather than an ongoing does say a lot about Marvel’s current mentality for most new comic books. If Friendly Neighborhood Mary Jane is successful it wouldn’t be surprising if it becomes an ongoing series. If it does not sell well Marvel will at least be able to cover themselves by showing a continued commitment with MJ’s character being a solo. And if it doesn’t sell well they can use that as an explanation as to why MJ goes back to being a supporting character later in 2027.
5) IRON MAN VS THE FANTASTIC FOUR
One of the major sub-plots going on in the Marvel Universe that is not talked about much is the fact that the hero community does not trust Tony Stark. While Tony has a major role in the Avengers: Armageddon event his character arc there has highlighted this fact. His decision making has been questioned more than in other events where the heroes are “united.”
This is a sub-plot that was started by Joshua Williamson at the beginning of his run on the current Iron Man series. This was seen at the end of Iron Man #1 where many major heroes spoke about how Tony is not to be trusted. Since then we have seen other short scenes that continue this theme.
Two heroes that were part of those that are keeping a close eye on Tony’s actions are Reed and Sue Richards. Both have kept their distance from Tony for a while. That will change as it will be Reed and Sue’s turn to speak with Tony in November’s Iron Man #11. The meeting seems like it will lead to the next big direction for the series that’s titled Incarcerated Iron Man.
4) SPIDER-WOMAN CELEBRATES 50TH ANNIVERSARY WITH NEW ONGOING
Character anniversaries have been a consistent trend for Marvel Comics. Given how long they have been around we are at the point where they can have an anniversary celebration on a monthly basis. Spider-Woman is joining that with this year marking her 50th anniversary. Unlike others, Marvel has decided to celebrate by showing some commitment to her character by publishing a new Spider-Woman ongoing series.
What makes this Spider-Woman ongoing series stand out is the creative team of writer Dan Watters and artist Andrea Broccardo. Both are fast rising talent. Watters in particular has been someone Image Comics and DC Comics have been high on as he has had major comics for both publishers. That is not surprising given that Watters has become a writer when you see a comic with him as a writer you know it will be a high-quality series. We see that with his work on Nightwing, MASK, Batman: Dark Patterns, Destro, and Six Fingers.
Watters quality of work makes this upcoming Spider-Woman series something Marvel fans should keep an eye out for. It could very well be one of the hidden gems from Marvel. The solicitation hints at that as Watters is leaning into what he does best with his style of comic book storytelling.
3) X-MEN & FANTASTIC FOUR DNX EVENT COMES TO A CLOSE
Ahead of the end of 2026 we will see the conclusion of the X-Men and Fantastic Four crossover event DNX. Marvel looks to ensure that they already have the new status quo for both teams established going into 2027. That is seen with how DNX will conclude in November, leading to December being where we see the new status quo for the X-Men and Fantastic Four being introduced.
Before we get to their new status quo we need to see how DNX ends. We get hints from the cover of DNX #4 that the X-Men and Fantastic Four may not be on the best terms when all is said and done. Though the cover does not seem to match what is said in the solicitation. The focus will still be on Henry McCoy’s Chairman as he is the big bad of the event leading the 3K group.
The X-Men will likely be the most poised to be changed by however DNX concludes. Cyclops in particular seems to be at the center of what will be the X-Men’s direction. That is not all that surprising since he is the leader of the team and has been filling both the Professor X and Magneto role since they have taken steps back. Where Cyclops ends up will say a lot for the X-Men direction we will see in December.
2) JEAN GREY CONTINUES SOLO JOURNEY
There has been a big missing part of the X-Men franchise this year was the fact that Jean Grey has not been around much. The only appearance Jean Grey has made is in this year’s Uncanny X-Men Annual. That was a one-shot appearance as Jean continued her cosmic journey as Phoenix once the story was over in that annual.
Now we know that X-Men editorial has been holding back to have Jean Grey be the one to kick off the post-DNX direction for the franchise. Jean’s absence being planned appears to be the case given that Jed Mackay, the current writer for the X-Men ongoing series, is writing this new Jean Grey series. There is already one big reveal in the covers as Jean has a new X-Men branded blue and yellow costume that may be what we see other X-Men wearing post-DNX. It certainly gives the old school X-Factor and New X-Men vibes to the design.
This Jean Grey comic being a mini-series also seems to indicate that Jean will join one of the X-Men team’s in 2027. Mackay being the writer of the mini-series makes it likely he is setting up Jean for having a bigger role in his X-Men ongoing series. If something changes with Cyclops status quo Jean stepping in on that side of the X-Men would make sense.
1) AVENGERS ASSEMBLE IN THE WAKE OF ARMAGEDDON
The impact of the Armageddon event is seen throughout Marvel Comics November 2026 solicitations. The biggest impact the latest Marvel event has is that it has opened the path for a new Avengers team to be formed. Emphasis on New Avengers because that is what it feels like. Similar to the team we got after Avengers Dissembled, we are getting a new Earth’s Mightiest Heroes line-up of Spider-Man, Wolverine, Captain Marvel, Daredevil, and Luke Cage along with a mysterious member.
Speaking with IGN, Avengers writer Chip Zdarsky “It’s up to Spidey and his team to define what ‘Avengers’ means now.” Multiple times in the interview Zdarsky mentioned how the world does not view the Avengers and Marvel hero community in a positive light post-Armageddon. That is not surprising given the extreme measures Red Hulk and David Colton have taken that has changed public perception on super powered people.
Based on all that is being said about this new direction for the Avengers the team will now start to have a better understanding the X-Men’s plight. Spider-Man and Wolverine seem to be a focal point for this run. They aren’t there to just sell this new Avengers series. Zdarsky seems to have genuine plans as to why they along with Captain Marvel, Daredevil, and Luke Cage are the Avengers rather than classic members of the team.
