It looks like we have another large shipment of comic books headed to the Bunker today. This week isn’t as loco as last week, but 12 titles still is a pretty heavy week. This week is slightly heavier with DC titles than Marvel titles. As always, I’ll try to post as many reviews as possible.
Which DC comic book am I most looking forward to reading? Normally, I’d go with Black Adam’s mini-series, but Johns has made Green Lantern the best read on the market right now. Therefore, I’m going with Green Lantern #22. Johns’ Sinestro Corps story is the best “big event” going right now in either the DCU or the Marvel Universe.
Which DC comic book am I least looking forward to reading? None. I’m only getting four titles from DC this week and they all look like they are going to be good reads.
Which Marvel comic book am I most looking forward to reading? Oh man, this is tough. You have Brubaker’s Criminal and Daredevil as well as David’s X-Factor. I’m going to have to go with X-Factor #22. David continues to make X-Factor the best X-title on the market.
Which Marvel comic book am I least looking forward to reading? So many choices. Way’s craptacular Ghost Rider #13 and Wolverine Origins #16 as well as Bendis’ always pathetic New Avengers #33 and, last but not least, the unbelievably bad story that Fraction is giving us on Punisher War Journal #10. This might be the most pathetic collection of titles that I have ever seen Marvel publish in one week.
I’m going to have to go with Punisher War Journal #10. This has to be one of the worst story arcs that I have ever read. Olivetti’s art is the only saving grace on that title.
I’ll try my best to start posting reviews as soon as possible. I hope everyone enjoys their new comic books for this week.
