UNCANNY X-MEN #475

Man, this is a seriously small week for Marvel. Only one title, but it is one hell of an issue. What title am I most looking forward to? Uncanny X-Men #475. No doubt. For me, Ed Brubaker is the hottest writer in the industry. Brubaker has been aces over in Captain America and Daredevil. I fully expect Brubaker to return Uncanny X-Men to its former glory that it had back under Claremont and Byrne. I have absolute faith in Brubaker.

I’m also looking forward to Teen Titans #37. Johns has done a great job on this title with this One Year Later storyline. Each issue just gets better and better.

The title that I’m least looking forward to is JSA #87. Seriously, DC should have just cancelled this title with Infinite Crisis and just waited for the re-start of this title. They did it with Flash, Wonder Woman and JLA. They should have done it with JSA.

The title that I am most curious about is the new Atom #1. I have always thought that the Atom was a cool character. But, I hate that Diversity Dan Didio has just thrown aside a character like Ray Palmer in favor of a new character that is practically identical in everyway except that he is not a blanco. Same city, same job, same powers, same costume. I’m absolutely thrilled that DC is bringing out an Asian superhero. I love it whenever DC acknowledges that there are other minorities in America. Instead of always putting out a black hero, it is nice to see a Hispanic or Asian hero. However, I think that the Atom should be Ray Palmer and DC should have invested the time and effort in creating a new hero who is Asian. Instead, DC chose the easy route. Anyway, we will check out this title and give it as an objective review as possible.
