Energon Universe Preview: Transformers #32

The state of the Energon Universe’s Transformers series forever changed after the events of recent issues. Now we are getting our first look at what writer Robert Kirkman and new series artist Jason Howard have in store for us next. That comes curtesy of a preview for Transformers #32 provided to us by Skybound Entertainment and Image Comics to share ahead of its May 13th release date.

Recently, at the end of Transformers #30 Elita One became the new wielder of the Matrix of Leadership and transformed into Elita-Prime. With this action Elita Prime took over as the new leader of the Autobots. While many Autobots followed Elita Prime back to Cybertron a new rogue group of Autobots stayed behind on Earth with Optimus.

Now we are getting a look at how Elita Prime will be kicking of her time as the leader of the Autobots. While wielding greater power it won’t make things on Cybertron any easier, as hinted by the solicitation for Transformers #32:

Transformers #32 main cover is being handled by artist David Nakayama. Additionally, variant covers will also be available from artists Daniel Warren Johnson & Mike Spicer, Jason Howard & Annalisa Leoni, Leirix Li, and E.J. Su. Check out the covers and two-page preview below:

In addition to the main cover by artist David Nakayama, the lineup of variant covers for TRANSFORMERS #32includes an open-to-order cover B by Daniel Warren Johnson & Mike Spicer, an open-to-order cover C by Jason Howard & Annalisa Leonia 1:25 incentive variant by Leirix Li, and a 1:50 incentive variant by E.J. Su.

TRANSFORMERS is the cornerstone of the Energon Universe, the crown jewel of the historic collaboration between Hasbro and Skybound, who has introduced a brand-new era of the TRANSFORMER and G.I. JOE franchises in one shared comic book universe.
