It is time to check out the March 2026 comic book sales rankings. Things are getting murkier in terms of actual unit numbers. So, we must settle for going to ICv2 for their Top 200 sales rankings. It is not as good as actual unit numbers, but we must work with what we get.
Keep in mind that the March 2026 comic book sales rankings are based on sales tracked at point-of-sale by the ComicHub system at over 125 local comic book shops selling American comics. These sales rankings represent sales to consumers by local comic shops.
We all know that these ICv2 sales charts, based on the ComicHub system, are not the most accurate. However, as long as publishers hide their sales statistics, this is the best that we have to go by. You can see that these sales charts provide a rough indication of the market, as titles that are canceled tend to correspond with low sales rankings in these ComicHub charts. I wish we had better data to analyze, but we have to make do with whatever data we have these days.
The data for the March 2026 comic book sales rankings was collected based on a four-week month, from March 1 to April 4, 2026.
You can go over to ICv2 and check out the Top 50 for March 2026 for free, or opt for a pro membership (It is well worth the money) and get the Top 200 for March 2026, and then come back here for a detailed analysis of the March 2026 comic book sales rankings!

The Battle for the Top 10
DC Comics placed seven comics in the Top 10. Month-over-month sales were down from the eight comics that DC Comics had in the Top 10 in February 2026.
Year-over-year numbers were flat, as DC Comics had seven comics in the Top 10 in March 2025.
Numbers were up from two years ago, as DC Comics had one comic in the Top 10 in March 2024.
Numbers were up from three years ago, as DC Comics had two comics in the Top 10 in March 2023.
Numbers were up from four years ago, as DC Comics had two comics in the Top 10 in March 2022.
Even with the slight month-over-month dip, DC Comics still stomped the field in the Top 10. Taking seven of the Top 10 spots is a dominating performance by any measure. DC Comics has built the kind of Top 10 machine that Marvel Comics used to have and no longer has.
Marvel Comics placed two comics in the Top 10. Month-over-month sales were flat compared to the two comics that Marvel Comics had in the Top 10 in February 2026.
Year-over-year numbers were down, as Marvel Comics had three comics in the Top 10 in March 2025.
Numbers were down from two years ago, as Marvel Comics had six comics in the Top 10 in March 2024.
Numbers were down from three years ago, as Marvel Comics had six comics in the Top 10 in March 2023.
Numbers were down from four years ago, as Marvel Comics had eight comics in the Top 10 in March 2022.
Marvel Comics continues to look absolutely pathetic in the Top 10. Flat month-over-month is not good news when your baseline is already awful. The bigger problem is how grotesque the drop-off is compared to 2024, 2023, and 2022. Marvel Comics used to own this territory. Now it is fighting to avoid total embarrassment. At some point, changes to editorial will have to be made at Marvel Comics.
Image Comics placed one comic in the Top 10. Month-over-month sales were up from the zero comics that Image Comics had in the Top 10 in February 2026.
Year-over-year numbers were up, as Image Comics had zero comics in the Top 10 in March 2025.
Numbers were flat from two years ago, as Image Comics had one comic in the Top 10 in March 2024.
Numbers were up from three years ago, as Image Comics had zero comics in the Top 10 in March 2023.
Numbers were up from four years ago, as Image Comics had zero comics in the Top 10 in March 2022.
The Battle for the Top 25
Based on historical numbers from the Comichron as well as projections through April 2022, the titles in the numbers 11-25 range typically sell in the 65,000 to 50,000 unit range.
DC Comics placed fourteen comics in the Top 25. Month-over-month sales were up from the thirteen comics that DC Comics had in the Top 25 in February 2026.
Year-over-year numbers were up, as DC Comics had ten comics in the Top 25 in March 2025.
Numbers were up from two years ago, as DC Comics had two comics in the Top 25 in March 2024.
Numbers were up from three years ago, as DC Comics had seven comics in the Top 25 in March 2023.
Numbers were up from four years ago, as DC Comics had three comics in the Top 25 in March 2022.
DC Comics absolutely smoked Marvel Comics in the Battle of the Top 25 by a 14-7 score. That was not a close fight. That was a beatdown. DC Comics has now built a real Top 25 identity, while Marvel Comics is living off fumes.
Marvel Comics placed seven comics in the Top 25. Month-over-month sales were down from the eleven comics that Marvel Comics had in the Top 25 in February 2026.
Year-over-year numbers were down, as Marvel Comics had fourteen comics in the Top 25 in March 2025.
Numbers were down from two years ago, as Marvel Comics had seventeen comics in the Top 25 in March 2024.
Numbers were down from three years ago, as Marvel Comics had sixteen comics in the Top 25 in March 2023.
Numbers were down from four years ago, as Marvel Comics had twenty-one comics in the Top 25 in March 2022.
What an embarrassment for Marvel Comics. Just seven comics in the Top 25 is a miserable result. The month-over-month drop is bad enough, but the historical comparison is even more damning. Marvel Comics had twenty-one comics in the Top 25 in March 2022. Now it has seven. This utter collapse in sales is pure editorial malpractice.
Image Comics placed four comics in the Top 25. Month-over-month sales were up from the one comic that Image Comics had in the Top 25 in February 2026.
Year-over-year numbers were up, as Image Comics had one comic in the Top 25 in March 2025.
Numbers were flat from two years ago, as Image Comics had four comics in the Top 25 in March 2024.
Numbers were up from three years ago, as Image Comics had zero comics in the Top 25 in March 2023.
Numbers were up from four years ago, as Image Comics had one comic in the Top 25 in March 2022.
The Battle for the Top 50
Based on historical numbers from the Comichron as well as projections through April 2022, the titles in the numbers 26-50 range typically sell in the 49,000 to 30,000 unit range.
Marvel Comics placed twenty-two comics in the Top 50. Month-over-month sales were down from the twenty-eight comics that Marvel Comics had in the Top 50 in February 2026.
Year-over-year numbers were down, as Marvel Comics had thirty-four comics in the Top 50 in March 2025.
Numbers were down from two years ago, as Marvel Comics had thirty-five comics in the Top 50 in March 2024.
Numbers were down from three years ago, as Marvel Comics had thirty-two comics in the Top 50 in March 2023.
Numbers were down from four years ago, as Marvel Comics had thirty-five comics in the Top 50 in March 2022.
Marvel Comics did manage to win the Battle of the Top 50, but this is nothing to celebrate. Twenty-two comics in the Top 50 is still way down from historical norms. Marvel Comics is barely scratching out a win when it used to dominate.
DC Comics placed twenty comics in the Top 50. Month-over-month sales were up from the eighteen comics that DC Comics had in the Top 50 in February 2026.
Year-over-year numbers were up, as DC Comics had fourteen comics in the Top 50 in March 2025.
Numbers were up from two years ago, as DC Comics had eight comics in the Top 50 in March 2024.
Numbers were up from three years ago, as DC Comics had fifteen comics in the Top 50 in March 2023.
Numbers were up from four years ago, as DC Comics had nine comics in the Top 50 in March 2022.
DC Comics only lost the Battle of the Top 50 by a 22-20 score. That is a huge development. Marvel Comics used to crush DC Comics in this range. Now, DC Comics is nipping at Marvel’s heels. That should terrify Marvel Comics editorial.
Image Comics placed eight comics in the Top 50. Month-over-month sales were up from the three comics that Image Comics had in the Top 50 in February 2026.
Year-over-year numbers were up, as Image Comics had two comics in the Top 50 in March 2025.
Numbers were up from two years ago, as Image Comics had five comics in the Top 50 in March 2024.
Numbers were up from three years ago, as Image Comics had one comic in the Top 50 in March 2023.
Numbers were up from four years ago, as Image Comics had four comics in the Top 50 in March 2022.
IDW Publishing placed zero comics in the Top 50. Month-over-month sales were down from the one comic that IDW Publishing had in the Top 50 in February 2026.
Year-over-year numbers were flat, as IDW Publishing had zero comics in the Top 50 in March 2025.
Numbers were down from two years ago, as IDW Publishing had one comic in the Top 50 in March 2024.
Numbers were down from three years ago, as IDW Publishing had one comic in the Top 50 in March 2023.
Numbers were flat from four years ago, as IDW Publishing had zero comics in the Top 50 in March 2022.
IDW Publishing remains unable to get any traction in the Top 50. That continues to be a problem for a publisher that has some genuinely valuable licensed properties.
The Battle for the Top 75
Based on historical numbers from the Comichron as well as projections through April 2022, the titles in the numbers 51-75 range typically sell in the 29,000 to 25,000 unit range.
Marvel Comics placed thirty-three comics in the Top 75. Month-over-month sales were down from the forty comics that Marvel Comics had in the Top 75 in February 2026.
Year-over-year numbers were down, as Marvel Comics had forty-eight comics in the Top 75 in March 2025.
Numbers were down from two years ago, as Marvel Comics had forty-eight comics in the Top 75 in March 2024.
Numbers were down from three years ago, as Marvel Comics had forty-five comics in the Top 75 in March 2023.
Numbers were down from four years ago, as Marvel Comics had forty-six comics in the Top 75 in March 2022.
The same story continues for Marvel Comics. Yes, Marvel Comics still has the most comics in the Top 75. No, that does not change how bad the trend line looks. These numbers have cratered compared to every prior year.
DC Comics placed thirty-two comics in the Top 75. Month-over-month sales were up from the twenty-eight comics that DC Comics had in the Top 75 in February 2026.
Year-over-year numbers were up, as DC Comics had twenty comics in the Top 75 in March 2025.
Numbers were up from two years ago, as DC Comics had sixteen comics in the Top 75 in March 2024.
Numbers were up from three years ago, as DC Comics had twenty-two comics in the Top 75 in March 2023.
Numbers were up from four years ago, as DC Comics had sixteen comics in the Top 75 in March 2022.
DC Comics only lost the Battle of the Top 75 by a 33-32 score. That is a razor-thin margin. DC Comics is now breathing directly down Marvel Comics’ neck in a range where Marvel Comics used to enjoy a much bigger advantage.
Image Comics placed eight comics in the Top 75. Month-over-month sales were up from the six comics that Image Comics had in the Top 75 in February 2026.
Year-over-year numbers were up, as Image Comics had six comics in the Top 75 in March 2025.
Numbers were flat from two years ago, as Image Comics had eight comics in the Top 75 in March 2024.
Numbers were up from three years ago, as Image Comics had five comics in the Top 75 in March 2023.
Numbers were down from four years ago, as Image Comics had nine comics in the Top 75 in March 2022.
IDW Publishing placed two comics in the Top 75. Month-over-month sales were up from the one comic that IDW Publishing had in the Top 75 in February 2026.
Year-over-year numbers were up, as IDW Publishing had one comic in the Top 75 in March 2025.
Numbers were up from two years ago, as IDW Publishing had one comic in the Top 75 in March 2024.
Numbers were up from three years ago, as IDW Publishing had one comic in the Top 75 in March 2023.
Numbers were up from four years ago, as IDW Publishing had one comic in the Top 75 in March 2022.
The Battle for the Top 100
Based on historical numbers from the Comichron as well as projections through April 2022, the titles in the numbers 76-100 range typically sell in the 24,000 to 18,000 unit range.
Marvel Comics placed forty-two comics in the Top 100. Month-over-month sales were down from the forty-seven comics that Marvel Comics had in the Top 100 in February 2026.
Year-over-year numbers were down, as Marvel Comics had sixty comics in the Top 100 in March 2025.
Numbers were down from two years ago, as Marvel Comics had sixty-three comics in the Top 100 in March 2024.
Numbers were down from three years ago, as Marvel Comics had fifty-seven comics in the Top 100 in March 2023.
Numbers were down from four years ago, as Marvel Comics had fifty-six comics in the Top 100 in March 2022.
Marvel Comics did win the Battle of the Top 100, but only by a 42-41 score over DC Comics. That is a stunningly small margin. Marvel Comics used to bury DC Comics in the Top 100. Now it is barely hanging on.
DC Comics placed forty-one comics in the Top 100. Month-over-month sales were down from the forty-two comics that DC Comics had in the Top 100 in February 2026.
Year-over-year numbers were up, as DC Comics had twenty-eight comics in the Top 100 in March 2025.
Numbers were up from two years ago, as DC Comics had twenty comics in the Top 100 in March 2024.
Numbers were up from three years ago, as DC Comics had twenty-nine comics in the Top 100 in March 2023.
Numbers were up from four years ago, as DC Comics had twenty-seven comics in the Top 100 in March 2022.
Even with the slight month-over-month dip, DC Comics continues to post excellent year-over-year and multi-year growth. DC Comics has built real depth in the Top 100, and that has become one of the biggest stories in the market.
Image Comics placed fourteen comics in the Top 100. Month-over-month sales were up from the eight comics that Image Comics had in the Top 100 in February 2026.
Year-over-year numbers were up, as Image Comics had nine comics in the Top 100 in March 2025.
Numbers were up from two years ago, as Image Comics had thirteen comics in the Top 100 in March 2024.
Numbers were up from three years ago, as Image Comics had nine comics in the Top 100 in March 2023.
Numbers were up from four years ago, as Image Comics had twelve comics in the Top 100 in March 2022.
IDW Publishing placed two comics in the Top 100. Month-over-month sales were flat from the two comics that IDW Publishing had in the Top 100 in February 2026.
Year-over-year numbers were up, as IDW Publishing had one comic in the Top 100 in March 2025.
Numbers were up from two years ago, as IDW Publishing had one comic in the Top 100 in March 2024.
Numbers were up from three years ago, as IDW Publishing had one comic in the Top 100 in March 2023.
Numbers were flat from four years ago, as IDW Publishing had two comics in the Top 100 in March 2022.
IDW Publishing held steady in the Top 100. Not spectacular, but at least stable.
Keenspot Entertainment had one comic in the Top 100. Month-over-month sales were up from the zero comics that Keenspot Entertainment had in the Top 100 in February 2026.
Keenspot continues to benefit from the white-hot Mark Spears Monsters comics.
The Joshua Williamson Award For The Writer With The Most Titles In The Top 50
Four writers had two issues from the same title in the Top 50.
Matt Fraction had two issues from the same title with Batman #7 at the number 4 spot and Batman #8 at the number 12 spot.
Jason Aaron had two issues from the same title with Absolute Superman #17 at the number 8 spot and Absolute Superman #18 at the number 22 spot.
Kelly Thompson had two issues from the same title with Absolute Wonder Woman #18 at the number 10 spot and Absolute Wonder Woman #17 at the number 36 spot.
Jeff Lemire had two issues from the same title with Absolute Flash #12 at the number 20 spot and Absolute Flash #13 at the number 26 spot.
One writer had three issues from the same title in the Top 50.
Joe Kelly had three issues from the same title with Amazing Spider-Man #23 at the number 9 spot, Amazing Spider-Man #25 at the number 14 spot, and Amazing Spider-Man #24 at the number 17 spot.
One writer had three issues from two different titles in the Top 50.
Scott Snyder had three issues from two different titles with Absolute Batman #18 at the number 3 spot, DC K.O. #5 at the number 5 spot, and Absolute Batman #17 at the number 23 spot.
One writer had three issues from three different titles and from two different publishers in the Top 50.
Deniz Camp had three issues from three different titles and from two different publishers, with Absolute Martian Manhunter #10 at the number 16 spot, Ultimate Endgame #3 at the number 25 spot, and Ultimates #22 at the number 28 spot.
However, one writer had four issues from four different titles and from three different publishers in the Top 50!
Joshua Williamson had four issues from four different titles with DC K.O. #5 at the number 5 spot, Superman #36 at the number 31 spot, G.I. JOE #20 at the number 38 spot, and Iron Man #3 at the number 42 spot.
Therefore, the winner of the Joshua Williamson Award for March 2026 is…Joshua Williamson! Williamson remains undefeated in 2026! Insane! C’mon, Williamson! Give someone else a chance in 2026.
Big Events
DC K.O.
5 DC K.O. #5 (Of 5)
138 DC K.O. #4 (Of 5) (Resolicitation)
DC K.O. had one comic in the Top 10, one comic in the Top 25, and one comic in the Top 50. This was worse than February 2026, when DC K.O. had three comics in the Top 10, three comics in the Top 25, and five comics in the Top 50.
DC K.O. #5 fell from the number 2 spot to the number 5 spot.
DC K.O. was a home run hit for DC Comics. It will be interesting to see how DC Comics is able to replace this big event story, which helped fuel a large portion of DC Comics’ sales surge over the past six months.
Hasbro Franchise
15 Transformers #30
38 G.I. JOE #20
96 Void Rivals #28
110 G.I. JOE A Real American Hero #326
188 Void Rivals #27 (Resolicitation)
Unranked: GI Joe A Real American Hero #24 Hama Files Edition
The Hasbro franchise had zero comics in the Top 10, one comic in the Top 25, and two comics in the Top 50. This was flat compared to February 2026, when the Hasbro franchise had zero comics in the Top 10, one comic in the Top 25, and two comics in the Top 50.
Year-over-year numbers were flat as the Hasbro franchise had zero comics in the Top 10, one comic in the Top 25, and two comics in the Top 50 in March 2025.
Numbers were down from two years ago, as the Hasbro franchise had one comic in the Top 10, three comics in the Top 25, and four comics in the Top 50 in March 2024.
Transformers #30 climbed from the number 17 spot to the number 15 spot. This title continues to bob around in the Top 20, which is still a good place to live in this market.
G.I. JOE #20 climbed from the number 42 spot to the number 38 spot. This title has certainly cooled off from where it used to be. However, being a reliable Top 50 seller for Image Comics is nothing to sneeze at. It is far better than what IDW Publishing ever did with the license.
Void Rivals #28 climbed from the number 111 spot to the number 96 spot. This was a welcome rebound, but this title is still nowhere close to the sales heights it enjoyed earlier in its run.
G.I. JOE: A Real American Hero #326 fell from the number 66 spot to the number 110 spot. So much for the nice rebound that this title posted in February 2026. This title is right back where we usually find it.
GI Joe: A Real American Hero #24 Hama Files Edition was unranked again.
The Hasbro franchise has cooled off considerably compared to where it was two years ago. The Hasbro franchise continues to be carried by Transformers and the main G.I. JOE title. Void Rivals has cooled off dramatically from its early buzz, and A Real American Hero simply cannot hold onto any momentum. This franchise is still healthy enough to put two titles in the Top 50 every month, but it no longer has the juice to be a real difference-maker at the top of the charts.
Spawn Franchise
90 Spawn #373
193 Spawn: The Dark Ages #4 (Of 6)
200 King Spawn #53
Unranked: Deadly Tales of the Gunslinger Spawn #14
Unranked: Gunslinger Spawn #52
Unranked: The Scorched #49
Unranked: Spawn Rat City #23
Unranked: Spawn Sam and Twitch Case Files #22
The Spawn franchise had zero comics in the Top 50. This was flat compared to February 2026, when the Spawn franchise had zero comics in the Top 50.
Year-over-year numbers were flat, as the Spawn franchise had zero comics in the Top 50 in March 2025.
Numbers were flat from two years ago, as the Spawn franchise had zero comics in the Top 50 in March 2024.
Spawn #373 climbed from the number 100 spot to the number 90 spot.
Spawn: The Dark Ages #4 fell from the number 174 spot to the number 193 spot. This title is limping toward the finish line.
King Spawn #53 plummeted from the number 147 spot to the number 200 spot. That is brutal. This title barely clung to the final slot in the Top 200.
Deadly Tales of the Gunslinger Spawn #14 crashed out of the Top 200 after Deadly Tales of the Gunslinger Spawn #13 ranked at the number 178 spot in February 2026.
Gunslinger Spawn #52 was unranked after Gunslinger Spawn #51 was also unranked in February 2026.
The Scorched #49 dropped out of the Top 200 after Spawn: Scorched #48 ranked at the number 177 spot in February 2026.
Spawn Rat City #23 was unranked after Rat City #22 was also unranked in February 2026. This is the tenth straight month this title has been unranked. A writer switch has to be incoming at some point.
Spawn Sam and Twitch Case Files #22 was unranked after Sam and Twitch: Case Files #21 was also unranked in February 2026. This was the tenth consecutive month this title has been unranked.
Todd McFarlane can keep flooding the market with Spawn titles, but the readership is clearly not following. At this point, the Spawn franchise is less of a line and more of a Dead Titles Walking assembly line.
Ghost Machine Titles
107 Geiger #22
124 Hyde Street #11
Ghost Machine had zero comics in the Top 50. This was flat compared to February 2026, when Ghost Machine had zero comics in the Top 10, zero comics in the Top 25, and zero comics in the Top 50.
Year-over-year numbers were flat, as Ghost Machine had zero comics in the Top 50 in March 2025.
Numbers were flat from two years ago, as Ghost Machine had zero comics in the Top 50 in March 2024.
Geiger #22 fell from the number 90 spot to the number 107 spot.
Hyde Street #11 climbed from the number 151 spot to the number 124 spot.
Ghost Machine continues to be a fringe player in the sales rankings. There is no Top 50 presence, no real chart pressure, and no title that looks capable of breaking out in this market. Geiger is cooling off, Hyde Street is fighting just to survive, and the line as a whole still looks far more niche than essential.
Godzilla Franchise
116 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles X Godzilla #4 (IDW Publishing)
117 Godzilla vs. America Portland (IDW Publishing)
121 Godzilla Infinity Roar #2 (Marvel Comics)
170 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles X Godzilla #5 (IDW Publishing)
187 Godzilla (Kai-Sei Era) #8 (IDW Publishing)
Unranked: Starship Godzilla Kai-Sei Era #6 (IDW Publishing)
The Godzilla franchise had zero comics in the Top 50. This was worse than February 2026, when the Godzilla franchise had zero comics in the Top 10, zero comics in the Top 25, and one comic in the Top 50.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles X Godzilla #4 fell from the number 85 spot to the number 116 spot. This drop knocked this mini-series straight into the Dead Titles Walking range. Only IDW Publishing could have two phenomenal powerhouse licenses in one comic and still manage to make it a Dead Title Walking.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles X Godzilla #5 fell from the number 116 spot to the number 170 spot. Shipping two issues in the same month did this title no favors at all.
Godzilla vs. America Portland had a poor debut at the number 117 spot. That is not remotely where a Godzilla comic should be debuting.
Godzilla Infinity Roar #2 crashed and burned, falling from the number 40 spot to the number 121 spot. That is a brutal collapse in just one issue.
Godzilla (Kai-Sei Era) #8 fell from the number 130 spot to the number 187 spot. This title continues its steady march toward oblivion.
Starship Godzilla Kai-Sei Era #6 was unranked for the third consecutive month.
The Godzilla franchise was a mess in March 2026. Not one Godzilla title made the Top 100. Most of the line lived deep in the Dead Titles Walking range, and the one title that had shown any real spark in February 2026, Godzilla Infinity Roar, immediately face-planted. IDW Publishing has no excuses for doing this poorly with a property this big.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Franchise
73 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #16
Unranked: Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #4
Unranked: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Saturday Morning Adventures #35
Unranked: TMNT: Journeys #7
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise had zero comics in the Top 50. This was worse than February 2026, when the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise had zero comics in the Top 10, zero comics in the Top 25, and one comic in the Top 50.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #16 fell from the number 49 spot to the number 73 spot. That is a nasty drop for the lead TMNT title and another sign that IDW Publishing cannot keep this franchise in the Top 50.
Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #4 was unranked. That is a rough result for a franchise that should have more than enough brand power to at least sneak a title into the back end of the Top 200.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Saturday Morning Adventures #35 was unranked after Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Saturday Morning Adventures #34 was also unranked in February 2026.
TMNT: Journeys #7 was unranked after TMNT: Journeys #6 was also unranked in February 2026.
IDW Publishing continues to waste the TMNT license. The main title is sliding backward, the supporting titles are dead on arrival, and the franchise has now lost even the one Top 50 foothold it had in February 2026. Just like with Godzilla, IDW Publishing has a massive property in its hands and still cannot turn it into a consistent seller.
Star Trek Franchise
Unranked: Star Trek: Lower Decks #17
Unranked: Star Trek: The Last Starship #6
The Star Trek franchise had zero comics in the Top 50. This was flat compared to February 2026, when the Star Trek franchise had zero comics in the Top 50.
Star Trek: Lower Decks #17 was unranked after Star Trek: Lower Decks #16 was also unranked in February 2026.
Star Trek: The Last Starship #6 was unranked after Star Trek: The Last Starship #5 was also unranked in February 2026.
The Star Trek franchise remains a dumpster fire. Not a single title can sniff the Top 200. IDW Publishing continues to get absolutely nothing out of this license in the direct market. Whatever the Star Trek comic strategy is supposed to be, it clearly is not working.
Once Paramount’s purchase of WB is complete, it needs to quickly get to work fixing the badly broken Star Trek franchise.
Star Wars Franchise
24 Star Wars Shadow of Maul #1
The Star Wars franchise had zero comics in the Top 10, one comic in the Top 25, and one comic in the Top 50. This was better than February 2026, when the Star Wars franchise had zero comics in the Top 50.
Year-over-year numbers were flat, as the Star Wars franchise had zero comics in the Top 10, zero comics in the Top 25, and one comic in the Top 50 in March 2025.
Numbers were down from two years ago, as the Star Wars franchise had zero comics in the Top 10, zero comics in the Top 25, and two comics in the Top 50 in March 2024.
Numbers were down from three years ago, as the Star Wars franchise had zero titles in the Top 10, zero titles in the Top 25, and two comics in the Top 50 in March 2023.
Numbers were down from four years ago, as the Star Wars franchise had zero comics in the Top 10, one comic in the Top 25, and five comics in the Top 50 in March 2022.
One comic in the Top 25 is certainly better than the zero Top 50 comics that the franchise managed in February 2026, but this is still a tiny shadow of what Star Wars used to be in the direct market.
Star Wars: Shadow of Maul #1 had a solid debut at the number 24 spot. That is a respectable opening, and Darth Maul is at least the kind of character who can still generate some reader interest. The question is whether this title can actually hold up in the rankings, because the Star Wars franchise has not shown much staying power lately. Given the number 24 debut number, I have a feeling this title will be outside of the Top 50 with the next issue or two.

The Spider-Man franchise had one comic in the Top 10, three comics in the Top 25, and five comics in the Top 50. This was better than February 2026, when the Spider-Man franchise had zero comics in the Top 10, two comics in the Top 25, and four comics in the Top 50.
Year-over-year numbers were flat in the Top 10 and Top 25, but down in the Top 50, as the Spider-Man franchise had one comic in the Top 10, three comics in the Top 25, and seven comics in the Top 50 in March 2025.
Numbers were down from two years ago, as the Spider-Man franchise had three comics in the Top 10, six comics in the Top 25, and thirteen comics in the Top 50 in March 2024.
Numbers were down from three years ago, as the Spider-Man franchise had three comics in the Top 10, seven comics in the Top 25, and ten comics in the Top 50 in March 2023.
Numbers were down from four years ago, as the Spider-Man franchise had three comics in the Top 10, eight comics in the Top 25, and eight comics in the Top 50 in March 2022.
The Spider-Man franchise got a much-needed jolt from the Death Spiral crossover. The good news is that Marvel Comics managed to put three Amazing Spider-Man issues in the Top 25 and two Spider-Man-related books in the Top 50. The bad news is that this franchise still looks badly diminished compared to prior years, especially when you look at just how much stronger Spider-Man used to be in the Top 25.
Amazing Spider-Man #23 climbed from the number 15 spot to the number 9 spot. Amazing Spider-Man #24 then fell to the number 17 spot. Amazing Spider-Man #25 then climbed to the number 14 spot. That is a strong month for Amazing Spider-Man, even if Marvel Comics had to flood the market with multiple issues to get there.
Spider-Man: Meals to Astonish #1 had an awful debut at the number 150 spot.
Let’s slide over to the Venomverse.
Venom #255 climbed from the number 95 spot to the number 46 spot. Venom #256 then climbed to the number 34 spot. That is a huge rebound for Venom, and the Death Spiral crossover clearly gave this title the shot in the arm that it desperately needed.
Knull #3 cratered from the number 56 spot to the number 98 spot. That is brutal. This mini-series is collapsing exactly the way it looked like it would after the ugly drop with issue #2.
Let’s wrap up with the ladies of the Spider-Man franchise.
Black Cat #8 fell from the number 32 spot to the number 56 spot. That ended Black Cat’s nice little upward run in the rankings and dumped the title right out of the Top 50.
All-New Spider-Gwen The Ghost-Spider #8 fell from the number 112 spot to the number 142 spot. All-New Spider-Gwen The Ghost-Spider #9 then fell to the number 166 spot. This title is in a full-blown death spiral, which is exactly where Stephanie Phillips’ titles always seem to end up.

The X-Men franchise had zero comics in the Top 10, one comic in the Top 25, and six comics in the Top 50. This was worse than February 2026, when the X-Men franchise had zero comics in the Top 10, five comics in the Top 25, and ten comics in the Top 50.
Year-over-year numbers were down, as the X-Men franchise had one comic in the Top 10, six comics in the Top 25, and fifteen comics in the Top 50 in March 2025.
Numbers were down from two years ago, as the X-Men franchise had two comics in the Top 10, eight comics in the Top 25, and twelve comics in the Top 50 in March 2024.
Numbers were down from three years ago in the Top 25, but flat in the Top 10 and Top 50, as the X-Men franchise had one comic in the Top 10, three comics in the Top 25, and seven comics in the Top 50 in March 2023.
Numbers were down from four years ago in the Top 25 and Top 50, but flat in the Top 10, as the X-Men franchise had zero comics in the Top 10, four comics in the Top 25, and seven comics in the Top 50 in March 2022.
This was a rough month for the X-Men franchise. Marvel Comics flooded the market with new X-books last month, and they all fell like dead ducks in the rankings this month.
Let’s kick things off with the team titles.
X-Men United #1 had a strong debut at the number 11 spot. But keep in mind that the writer is Eve Ewing, and literally every mainstream superhero comic she has ever written has quickly crashed and burned in the sales rankings. It is actually quite stunning how a person who is not a mainstream comic book writer and has never had a lick of sales success keeps getting hired by Marvel Comics. There is a reason why people question the logic and leadership of Marvel Comics editorial staff.
X-Men #26 fell from the number 29 spot to the number 32 spot. X-Men #27 then fell to the number 50 spot. X-Men #28 then climbed to the number 37 spot. That is a weird month, but the larger point remains that this title is no longer showing any real Top 25 staying power.
Uncanny X-Men #25 fell from the number 33 spot to the number 54 spot. This title has now completely fallen out of the Top 50 conversation. That is a bad look for what is the crown jewel title of the X-Men franchise.
X-Men of Apocalypse #3 took the number 81 spot. That is not where any X-Men mini-series wants to be by issue #3.
Inglorious X-Force #3 fell from the number 91 spot to the number 125 spot. This title is now deep in the Dead Titles Walking range and looks completely cooked.
Let’s check out the one duo title.
Magik & Colossus #2 plummeted from the number 24 spot to the number 60 spot. That is exactly the kind of collapse you fear when a debut is propped up by launch heat and gorgeous David Nakayama variants rather than actual reader commitment.
I thought hiring Ashley Allen as the writer was a bad idea. Allen is not a good fit for mainstream superhero comics. It is evident in sales numbers. Why Marvel Comics editorial does not see that remains a mystery.
Let’s hop over to the dudes of the X-Men franchise.
Wolverine #17 climbed from the number 60 spot to the number 51 spot. That is a modest rebound, but a Wolverine title hanging around the edge of the Top 50 is still an underwhelming result. Wolverine’s flagship title should never be selling outside of the Top 50.
Wolverine Weapons of Armageddon #2 crashed from the number 22 spot to the number 67 spot. That is an ugly drop for a mini-series that looked like it had solid momentum out of the gate.
Wade Wilson Deadpool #2 fell from the number 13 spot to the number 52 spot. That is a brutal second-issue drop, even by normal mini-series standards.
Deadpool April Pool’s Day #1 had an okay debut at the number 70 spot. That is not a disaster, but it is not impressive, either.
Cyclops #2 fell from the number 20 spot to the number 40 spot. That is not catastrophic, but it is still a steep slide and puts this mini-series on the same path as so many other middling X-books. It is no surprise, given that Alex Paknadel is the writer, and he has never found sales success on a mainstream superhero comic book. This title is a lock to be out of the Top 50 with the next issue.
Logan Black, White & Blood #3 fell from the number 71 spot to the number 127 spot. Logan Black, White & Blood #4 then fell to the number 133 spot. Readers clearly checked out on this mini-series in a hurry. Saladin Ahmed continues to struggle to find any sales success on mainstream superhero comics.
Iceman Omega #1 had a terrible debut at the number 144 spot. That is a horrendous for this one-shot issue and another example of Marvel Comics throwing product at the wall without any sign that the market actually wants it.
Let’s wrap up with the ladies of the X-Men franchise.
Moonstar #1 had a poor debut at the number 72 spot. That debut number screams future Dead Titles Walking material in the next issue or two unless this title pulls off a surprise. Again, I am unsure why Marvel Comics editorial thought hiring Ashley Allen to write this five-issue mini-series was a smart financial move.
Rogue #3 fell from the number 61 spot to the number 80 spot. Just like I expected, this title continues to sink like a stone. We all knew this was going to happen once it was revealed that Erica Schultz was going to be the writer. Everything Schultz has written for Marvel Comics has immediately died in the sales rankings. Schultz is not a mainstream superhero comic writer. Yet, for some mysterious reason, Marvel Comics editorial keeps hiring her. There is a reason why Marvel Comics has shed market share to DC Comics in dramatic fashion over the past year.
Storm Earth’s Mightiest Mutant #2 cratered from the number 35 spot to the number 84 spot. What an embarrassment. Marvel Comics pulled the same tired cancel-and-relaunch trick with Storm, and it is already producing the same tired sales result. Marvel Comics editorial made a huge mistake by not replacing Murewa Ayodele as the writer to try to reinvigorate things for this new Storm title.
Psylocke Ninja #3 fell from the number 65 spot to the number 92 spot. Tim Seeley’s five-issue mini-series is not connecting with readers. Keep in mind that this title debuted at the number 15 spot! This title is headed exactly where it looked like it was headed last month: toward the Dead Titles Walking category.
Generation X-23 #2 fell like a dead duck dropping from the number 38 spot to the number 103 spot. That is a complete sales face-plant. Just brutal. But, again, nobody with more than two brain cells would be surprised by this. Jody Houser is the writer, and she simply is not a mainstream superhero comic book writer. Houser has been a shocking sales failure in everything she has ever done for Marvel Comics or DC Comics. The fact that she got hired for this title is stunning.
The X-Men franchise remains one of Marvel Comics’ biggest cautionary tales. There are still plenty of X-books hitting the market every month, but volume is not the same thing as strength.
All of the female X-Men lead titles that hit the market have crumbled in the sales rankings. Of the five new female lead titles that have debuted over the past three months, only one made the Top 75, and just barely at the number 72 spot. The other four were outside of the Top 75. One was in the Dead Titles Walking category. That is embarrassing. Marvel Comics continues to saddle these characters with writers who are simply not mainstream superhero comic book writers.
Marvel Comics used to be able to count on the X-Men line to dominate the Top 25. Now the line is bloated, scattered, and increasingly dependent on debut gimmicks rather than real staying power.

The Avengers franchise had zero comics in the Top 10, zero comics in the Top 25, and three comics in the Top 50. This was flat compared to February 2026, when the Avengers franchise had zero comics in the Top 10, zero comics in the Top 25, and three comics in the Top 50.
Year-over-year numbers were flat in the Top 10 and Top 50, but down in the Top 25, as the Avengers franchise had zero comics in the Top 10, one comic in the Top 25, and three comics in the Top 50 in March 2025.
Numbers were down from two years ago, as the Avengers franchise had one comic in the Top 10, two comics in the Top 25, and five comics in the Top 50 in March 2024.
Numbers were down from three years ago, as the Avengers franchise had one comic in the Top 10, three comics in the Top 25, and five comics in the Top 50 in March 2023.
Numbers were down from four years ago, as the Avengers franchise had one comic in the Top 10, two comics in the Top 25, and four comics in the Top 50 in March 2022.
Let’s kick off with the team titles.
Avengers #36 fell from the number 53 spot to the number 64 spot. That is a bad slide for the core Avengers title. A flagship Avengers comic should not be living outside of the Top 50.
New Avengers #10 fell from the number 118 spot to the number 159 spot. This title is getting absolutely annihilated in the rankings.
Let’s take a look at the dudes of the Avengers franchise.
Captain America #8 fell from the number 30 spot to the number 35 spot. That is not a catastrophic drop, but this title is clearly settling in as more of a low-end Top 50 seller than a genuine Top 25 force.
Iron Man #3 fell from the number 37 spot to the number 42 spot. Joshua Williamson has kept this title respectable, but Marvel Comics must be disappointed that Iron Man is not selling as well as it could. Mr. Emma Frost has been mismanaged over the years, and it is going to take time to convince readers that Marvel Comics editorial knows what to do with this character.
Infernal Hulk #5 climbed from the number 52 spot to the number 43 spot. That is a nice rebound and at least shoved this title back into the Top 50.
Sentry #1 had an average debut at the number 75 spot. That is not the kind of launch that inspires much confidence in this four-issue mini-series from Paul Jenkins.
Wonder Man #1 had an awful debut at the number 114 spot. This is the kind of debut that tells you the market had almost no interest in this five-issue mini-series from Gerry Duggan from the jump.
I am sure Marvel Comics thought they would have some synergy due to the race-swapped Wonder Man Disney+ TV show. Once again, we see there is no synergy between comics and TV shows that do not resemble the comics at all.
Mortal Thor #8 fell from the number 102 spot to the number 106 spot. This title continues to drift deeper into Dead Titles Walking territory. This relaunch with the same creative team has been a complete disaster. This playbook that Marvel Comics keeps rolling out continues to return diminished results.
Hulk Smash Everything #4 was unranked after Hulk Smash Everything #3 ranked at the number 192 spot in February 2026. This four-issue mini-series was a total sales bust.
Black Panther: Intergalactic #4 was unranked after Black Panther: Intergalactic #3 was also unranked in February 2026. Victor LaValle is another non-comic book writer who is finding zero success in the world of mainstream comics. It’s tougher than it looks.
Let’s wrap up with the ladies of the Avengers franchise.
Captain Marvel Dark Past #1 had a poor debut at the number 77 spot. This five-issue limited series crashed and burned right out of the gate. This is no surprise. Carol always fails in the sales charts. At least Marvel Comics was “smart” enough not to try another ongoing title. This mini-series is written by Paul Jenkins. Credit to Marvel Comics for finally going in a different direction with the writer on a Carol comic. But, the result is going to be the same because this character is irrevocably broken with the readership.
The best part of Captain Marvel Dark Past #1? The incredible Ms. Marvel variant covers from J. Scott Campbell, Fan Yang, and Ejikure! Damn. Remember when Carol was cool? Ms. Marvel was such a badass character. Good times.
Planet She-Hulk #5 plunged from the number 99 spot to the number 131 spot. Yup. There it is. Like all Stephanie Phillips titles, Planet She-Hulk is now a dead title walking. This six-issue mini-series is destined to finish in the Dead Titles Walking category.
The Avengers franchise continues to be one of Marvel Comics’ weakest major franchises relative to the strength of its brand. There is no Top 25 presence, the core Avengers title is outside of the Top 50, New Avengers is getting smoked, and several new launches posted lousy debut numbers. Marvel Comics keeps throwing out relaunches, side projects, and mini-series, but the readership is not responding in any meaningful way.
Fantastic Four Franchise
47 Fantastic Four #9
111 Dungeons of Doom #3
128 Fantastic Four First Foes #1
154 Planet of the Apes vs. Fantastic Four #2
The Fantastic Four franchise had zero comics in the Top 10, zero comics in the Top 25, and one comic in the Top 50. This was flat compared to February 2026, when the Fantastic Four franchise had zero comics in the Top 10, zero comics in the Top 25, and one comic in the Top 50.
Year-over-year numbers were up in the Top 50, but down in the Top 10 and Top 25, as the Fantastic Four franchise had one comic in the Top 10, two comics in the Top 25, and four comics in the Top 50 in October 2024.
Fantastic Four #9 fell from the number 28 spot to the number 47 spot. That is a nasty drop and dumped the flagship Fantastic Four title right to the edge of falling out of the Top 50.
Dungeons of Doom #3 plummeted from the number 62 spot to the number 111 spot. With this issue, this three-issue limited series is complete. This was a disappointing finish in the sales chart.
Fantastic Four First Foes #1 had an awful debut at the number 128 spot. There was not much consumer interest in this one-shot issue from Dan Slott.
Planet of the Apes vs. Fantastic Four #2 cratered from the number 72 spot to the number 154 spot. That is an absolutely vicious second-issue drop and tells you all you need to know about how little staying power this crossover had. This is no surprise, as Josh Trujillo has never had any success on a mainstream comic book.
The Ultimate Universe
25 Ultimate Endgame #3
28 Ultimates #22
29 Ultimate Wolverine #15
102 Ultimate Spider-Man #24 (Resolicitation)
129 Ultimates #21 (Resolicitation)
The Ultimate Universe had zero comics in the Top 10, one comic in the Top 25, and three comics in the Top 50. This was worse than February 2026, when the Ultimate Universe had two comics in the Top 10, three comics in the Top 25, and five comics in the Top 50.
Year-over-year numbers were worse, as the Ultimate Universe had two comics in the Top 10, three comics in the Top 25, and five comics in the Top 50 in March 2025.
Numbers were worse from two years ago, as the Ultimate Universe had one comic in the Top 10, two comics in the Top 25, and three comics in the Top 50 in March 2024.
This was a rough month for the Ultimate Universe. February 2026 looked like a healthy showing with two comics in the Top 10 and five comics in the Top 50. March 2026 was a completely different story. No comics in the Top 10, only one comic in the Top 25, and just three comics in the Top 50 is a sharp contraction for what is supposed to be one of Marvel Comics’ flagship lines.
Ultimate Endgame #3 fell from the number 10 spot to the number 25 spot. Ouch. That is a bigger drop than anticipated.
Ultimates #22 climbed from the number 39 spot to the number 28 spot. That is a nice rebound and badly needed good news for this title after the ugly slide with the prior issue. Still, the fact that the Ultimates is now selling outside of the Top 25 shows how much this once constant Top 10 seller has cooled off.
Ultimate Wolverine #15 fell from the number 19 spot to the number 29 spot. Again, we have another title that used to be a constant Top 10 seller, now failing to even make the Top 25.
The bigger problem for the Ultimate Universe is that its momentum clearly cooled in March 2026. The line still can slot comics in the Top 50, but this month showed that it is no longer steamrolling the market the way it did at its peak. The Ultimate Universe line as a whole has lost a lot of its Top 10 and Top 25 muscle.

The Batman franchise had one comic in the Top 10, three comics in the Top 25, and three comics in the Top 50. This was worse in the Top 10, better in the Top 25, and flat in the Top 50 compared to February 2026, when the Batman franchise had two comics in the Top 10, two comics in the Top 25, and three comics in the Top 50.
Year-over-year numbers were down in the Top 10, up in the Top 25, and down in the Top 50, as the Batman franchise had two comics in the Top 10, two comics in the Top 25, and four comics in the Top 50 in March 2025.
Numbers were flat in the Top 10, up in the Top 25, and down in the Top 50 from two years ago, as the Batman franchise had one comic in the Top 10, one comic in the Top 25, and five comics in the Top 50 in March 2024.
Numbers were down from three years ago, as the Batman franchise had two comics in the Top 10, four comics in the Top 25, and eight comics in the Top 50 in March 2023.
Numbers were down in the Top 10 and Top 50, but flat in the Top 25 from four years ago, as the Batman franchise had two comics in the Top 10, three comics in the Top 25, and eight comics in the Top 50 in March 2022.
The Batman franchise had a strong Top 25 showing in March 2026, but the depth of the line remains shaky. Batman and Batwoman gave DC Comics some real punch near the top of the chart, but once you get past those books, the rest of the line drops off fast. This franchise is still far too dependent on a handful of titles instead of flexing the kind of broad power that Batman should have in this market.
Batman #7 fell from the number 3 spot to the number 4 spot. Batman #8 then fell to the number 12 spot. Those are excellent sales numbers for shipping two issues in the same month.
Batman Superman World’s Finest #49 fell from the number 51 spot to the number 74 spot. Batman Superman World’s Finest #50 then climbed to the number 55 spot. That rebound is nice, but this title is still living outside of the Top 50.
Detective Comics #1107 climbed from the number 75 spot to the number 59 spot. That is a good rebound, even if it still was not enough to push this title back into the Top 50.
Batman/Green Arrow/The Question: Arcadia #3 took the number 79 spot. That is not a terrible ranking for this comic and better than I anticipated when I first heard about this title.
Batman/Static Beyond #4 fell from the number 68 spot to the number 109 spot. Batman/Static Beyond #5 then fell to the number 191 spot. So much for the Batman branding drawing more readers to a Static comic.
Let’s check out the lone bat-boy title.
Nightwing #136 climbed from the number 77 spot to the number 63 spot. That is a welcome recovery after Nightwing tumbled out of the Top 75 in February 2026.
Let’s conclude with the ladies of the Batman franchise.
Batwoman #1 had a strong debut at the number 13 spot. This is a new ongoing title from Greg Rucka. Despite an excellent debut number, I am not bullish on this title at all. Batwoman has never sold well. And Rucka has not had a sales hit in forever.
I did love the Joshua Swaby cover, the Ariel Diaz cover, and the Stjepan Šejić cover. All of them are gorgeous.
Batgirl #17 climbed from the number 94 spot to the number 69 spot. Batgirl #18 then crashed to the number 171 spot.
Sirens Love Hurts #2 plummeted from the number 34 spot to the number 88 spot. That is exactly the kind of brutal second-issue collapse you would expect from a Tini Howard comic. This comic should be in the Dead Titles Walking category with the next issue. That is Howard’s happy place.
Harley Quinn #60 climbed from the number 184 spot to the number 94 spot. It is a rare day that this title gets to enjoy a reprieve from the Dead Titles Walking category.
Poison Ivy #43 fell from the number 88 spot to the number 149 spot. That is a brutal drop. We have not seen this title in the Dead Titles Walking category. We shall see if this is just a blip or the sign of a new normal.
Catwoman #85 climbed from the number 150 spot to the number 130 spot. Grønbekk has a permanent home in the Dead Titles Walking category.
Harley and Ivy Life and Crimes #4 fell from the number 129 spot to the number 153 spot. This title has been a dumpster fire since debuting at the number 54 spot. It boggles the mind why anyone in DC editorial would have thought Erica Henderson made any sense to write a mainstream comic book. This was all so predictable.
Gotham Academy: First Year #6 was unranked for the sixth consecutive month. With this issue, this six-issue limited series has concluded. This min-series was an embarrassing sales failure as it went unranked for every issue.

Numbers were flat in the Top 10 and Top 25, but up in the Top 50 from four years ago, as the Superman franchise had one comic in the Top 10, one comic in the Top 25, and one comic in the Top 50 in March 2022.
The Superman franchise had a much better month than it did in February 2026. Getting one comic in the Top 10, one comic in the Top 25, and three comics in the Top 50 is a clear improvement. The problem is that most of that success came from a high-profile one-shot and a couple of short-term bumps rather than from deep, reliable franchise strength.
DC Marvel – Superman / Spider-Man #1 had an incredible debut at the number 1 spot. I would expect nothing less with an issue starring these two iconic characters in a rare team-up.
Superman #36 climbed from the number 46 spot to the number 31 spot. That is a nice rebound for the main Superman title and a welcome sign after it slid back down in February 2026.
Bizarro Year None #1 had a solid but not spectacular debut at the number 41 spot. Kevin Smith and Eric Carrasco are heading up this four-issue mini-series. Based on this debut number, this title should be outside of the Top 75 with the next issue or two.
Action Comics #1096 climbed from the number 96 spot to the number 89 spot. That is a modest improvement, but Action Comics is still stuck in a range where it should never be living.
Superman Unlimited #11 climbed from the number 122 spot to the number 85 spot. That is a good rebound, but this title is still nowhere near healthy.
Let’s wrap up with the sole lady of the Superman franchise.
Supergirl #11 climbed from the number 84 spot to the number 71 spot.
Justice League Franchise
7 Lobo #1
45 Justice League Unlimited #17
61 Wonder Woman #31
68 Green Lantern #33 (#600)
79 Batman/Green Arrow/The Question: Arcadia #3 (Of 4)
99 The Flash #31
122 Emperor Aquaman #15
132 JSA #17
152 Justice League Unlimited #16 (DC K.O.) (Resolicitation)
158 Green Lantern Corps #14
Unranked: Wonder Woman #1 Facsimile Edition
The Justice League franchise had one comic in the Top 10, one comic in the Top 25, and two comics in the Top 50. This was better than February 2026, when the Justice League franchise had zero comics in the Top 10, zero comics in the Top 25, and one comic in the Top 50.
Year-over-year numbers were down, as the Justice League franchise had four comics in the Top 10, five comics in the Top 25, and seven comics in the Top 50 in March 2025.
Numbers were up in the Top 10, but flat in the Top 25 and Top 50 from two years ago, as the Justice League franchise had zero comics in the Top 10, one comic in the Top 25, and two comics in the Top 50 in March 2024.
First up are the team titles.
Justice League Unlimited #17 fell from the number 44 spot to the number 45 spot. That is basically flat, but it still means the core Justice League title has remained outside the Top 25 since October 2025.
JSA #17 fell from the number 109 spot to the number 132 spot. This title continues to get hammered in the rankings.
Let’s hop over to the dudes of the Justice League franchise.
Lobo #1 had an excellent debut at the number 7 spot. That is a huge launch for Skottie Young’s new ongoing title. It will be interesting to see what kind of reader support the Main Man gets for this new title.
The Flash #31 climbed from the number 104 spot to the number 99 spot. That is a small rebound, but this title is still parked right on the edge of the Dead Titles Walking zone. That is pathetic for a Flash comic.
Emperor Aquaman #15 fell from the number 83 spot to the number 122 spot. DC Comics changes the title of the Aquaman comic, and the result is…a big drop in the rankings. Not the desired result.
Let’s slide over to the Green Lantern comics.
Green Lantern #33 (#600) shot up from the number 136 spot to the number 68 spot. That is a huge rebound and exactly the kind of movement DC Comics desperately needed from this franchise.
Green Lantern Corps #14 fell from the number 138 spot to the number 158 spot. This title continues to be a complete sales dud as Morgan Hampton continues to find sales success an impossibility.
Let’s conclude with the sole lady of the Justice League franchise.
Wonder Woman #31 climbed from the number 64 spot to the number 61 spot. This title cannot crack its way back into the Top 50.
The Justice League franchise got a little more life in March 2026, but it is still nowhere close to healthy. Lobo delivered a monster debut, and Green Lantern finally showed a pulse. But Justice League Unlimited is still stuck outside the Top 25, Wonder Woman cannot get into the Top 50, and Flash, Aquaman, JSA, and Green Lantern Corps are all underperforming badly. For a franchise with this many iconic characters, these sales numbers are still embarrassingly weak.
The Absolute Universe
3 Absolute Batman #18
8 Absolute Superman #17
10 Absolute Wonder Woman #18
16 Absolute Martian Manhunter #10
20 Absolute Flash #12
22 Absolute Superman #18
23 Absolute Batman #17 (Resolicitation)
26 Absolute Flash #13
30 Absolute Green Lantern #12
36 Absolute Wonder Woman #17 (Resolicitation)
58 Absolute Martian Manhunter #9 (Resolicitation)
66 Absolute Batman #16 (Resolicitation)
93 Absolute Batman Ark-M Special #1 (One-Shot) (Resolicitation)
101 Absolute Batman #15 (Resolicitation)
172 Absolute Wonder Woman Annual 2026 #1 (One-Shot) (Resolicitation)
175 Absolute Wonder Woman #15 (Resolicitation)
The Absolute Universe had three comics in the Top 10, seven comics in the Top 25, and ten comics in the Top 50. This was worse in the Top 10, better in the Top 25, and flat in the Top 50 compared to February 2026, when the Absolute Universe had four comics in the Top 10, six comics in the Top 25, and ten comics in the Top 50.
Year-over-year numbers were down in the Top 10, flat in the Top 25, and up in the Top 50, as the Absolute Universe franchise had six comics in the Top 10, seven comics in the Top 25, and eight comics in the Top 50 in March 2025.
The Absolute Universe remains the engine powering DC Comics’ sales success. The line lost some of its Top 10 muscle compared to both February 2026 and March 2025, but it still stuffed seven books into the Top 25 and ten into the Top 50. That is absurd. DC Comics is still living and dying on the back of the Absolute Universe.
Absolute Batman #18 fell from the number 1 spot to the number 3 spot. That is still an elite ranking.
Absolute Superman #17 fell from the number 6 spot to the number 8 spot. Absolute Superman #18 then fell to the number 22 spot. That is still strong, given that this title shipped two issues in the same month.
Absolute Wonder Woman #18 dipped from the number 9 spot to the number 10 spot.
Absolute Martian Manhunter #10 held steady at the number 16 spot.
Absolute Flash #12 climbed from the number 25 spot to the number 20 spot. Absolute Flash #13 then fell to the number 26 spot. It appears that Absolute Flash’s days as a Top 10 seller may be over. However, there is nothing to sneeze at being a regular Top 25-level title.
Absolute Green Lantern #12 fell from the number 25 spot to the number 30 spot. That is not a disaster, but it does keep Absolute Green Lantern in the role of the weakest-selling title in the line.
This is also the first sign of sales softening for the Absolute Universe, as we have never seen an Absolute Universe title sell outside of the Top 25.
Absolute Batman continues to be the star of the show. But what is wild is how much support the entire line continues to generate from resolicitations. Absolute Batman posted four resolicited issues in the Top 200. Absolute Wonder Woman posted three resolicited issues in the Top 200. Absolute Martian Manhunter also had one resolicited issue in the Top 200. That kind of backlist support is insane.
The Absolute Universe cooled a bit in March 2026, but “cooling” for this line still means three books in the Top 10, seven in the Top 25, and ten in the Top 50. That tells you everything. Even on a month where it was not quite as overwhelming at the very top, the Absolute Universe still looked like the strongest franchise in the market.
Supernatural Comics
97 Sorcerer Supreme #4 (Marvel Comics)
136 Doctor Strange #4 (Marvel Comics)
160 Doctor Strange #5 (Marvel Comics)
Unranked: Wiccan: Witches’ Road #4 (Marvel Comics)
There were zero supernatural comics in the Top 10, zero comics in the Top 25, and zero comics in the Top 50. This was flat compared to February 2026, when there were zero supernatural comics in the Top 10, zero comics in the Top 25, and zero comics in the Top 50.
Year-over-year numbers were down, as there were zero supernatural comics in the Top 10, zero comics in the Top 25, and two comics in the Top 50 in March 2025.
Sorcerer Supreme #4 fell from the number 73 spot to the number 97 spot. Just like I predicted. Any title written by Steve Orlando is a lock to end up in the Dead Titles Walking category in short order. Maybe one day we will get to read a Scarlet Witch title written by someone other than Orlando. Maybe.
Doctor Strange #4 fell from the number 117 spot to the number 136 spot. Doctor Strange #5 then fell to the number 160 spot. This title is in an absolutely vicious death spiral. What makes this even worse is that Doctor Strange #3 had already cratered from the number 76 spot to the number 117 spot in February 2026. Marvel Comics lit this title on fire in record time.
Wiccan: Witches’ Road #4 fell from the number 164 spot and out of the Top 200 to end up unranked. Keep in mind, this title debuted at the number 50 spot. Now it is unranked with just the fourth issue. Brutal. Again, nobody, other than a Marvel Comic editor, is surprised by this fact. This was a title in search of an audience that did not exist.
Cosmic Comics
105 Imperial Guardians #1 (Marvel Comics)
108 Alien King Killer #1
146 The End 2099 #4 (Marvel Comics)
161 Nova Centurion #5 (Marvel Comics)
174 Predator Bloodshed #2 (Marvel Comics)
189 Nova Centurion #6 (Marvel Comics)
197 Eternals 50th Anniversary Special #1 (Marvel Comics)
There were zero cosmic comics in the Top 10, zero comics in the Top 25, and zero comics in the Top 50. This was worse than February 2026, when there were zero cosmic comics in the Top 10, zero comics in the Top 25, and one comic in the Top 50.
Imperial Guardians #1 had an awful debut at the number 105 spot. This five-issue mini-series from Dan Abnett is dead on arrival.
Damn. Once again, the patented Rokk Kiss of Death strikes. I liked this comic. I love that we got the real Darkhawk in Christopher Powell rather than the lame mantle swap Darkhawk in Connor Young. I also like Frank Castle as Cosmic Ghost Rider. Gamora is a great character. Amadeus Cho is a cool character when Marvel Comics lets him be his own person. Yeah, we get stuck with Carol Danvers, but nothing is perfect in this world. This was a cool issue. But, as usual, what I enjoy usually dies in the sales rankings.
The End 2099 #4 fell from the number 144 spot to the number 146 spot. Just more of Steve Orlando doing what he always does: deliver a Dead Title Walking. This five-issue mini-series has been a sales bust.
Nova Centurion #5 fell from the number 124 spot to the number 161 spot. Nova Centurion #6 then fell to the number 189 spot. This title is in a full-blown death spiral and looks completely cooked. Which does not make me happy at all. The Rokk Kiss of Death hits another title. I am pouring one out for my boy Rich Ryder!
Predator Bloodshed #2 cratered from the number 120 spot to the number 174 spot. This five-issue mini-series is headed for falling out of the Top 200 and being unranked by its conclusion.
This is no surprise at all, given that Marvel Comics hired Jordan Morris as the writer. Marvel editorial loves to hire non-comic book writers to write their titles. Morris is a television screenwriter and a podcaster. Like all of the TV screenwriters Marvel Comics has hired, Morris failed in the sales charts.
Street Level Comics
2 Daredevil #1
19 Deathstroke the Terminator #1
39 Punisher #2
48 Alias Red Band #1
53 Daredevil / Punisher: The Devil’s Trigger #5
57 Marc Spector Moon Knight #2
76 Punisher #1 (Resolicitation)
118 Marvel Knights Punisher #4
Unranked: Deadly Hands of K’un-Lun #2
There was one street-level comic in the Top 10, two comics in the Top 25, and six comics in the Top 50. This was better than February 2026, when there were zero street-level comics in the Top 10, one comic in the Top 25, and three comics in the Top 50.
Marvel Comics beat DC Comics by a score of 6-1 in the Top 100.
Daredevil #1 had an incredible debut at the number 2 spot. That is a monster debut! This new Daredevil title was powered by a stunning ten open order covers, two reprint covers, six incentive covers, four retailer exclusive covers, one event exclusive cover, and three blind bag covers. That is an eye-watering amount of variant covers!
Here is my contrarian take. Normally, I do not like to bet against any new title that grabs the number 2 spot with its debut. But Daredevil is written by Stephanie Phillips. And everything she writes crashes and burns in the sales rankings.
Now, Phillips may finally have the first sales hit of her career. After all, Kelly Thompson had nothing but one sales failure after another before being gifted Absolute Wonder Woman and finally having her first sales monster title. So, this might be the same for Phillips. But I am not betting against Phillips’ sales history. So, I’m predicting this title falls. But who knows? Anything can happen!
Deathstroke the Terminator #1 had a strong debut at the number 19 spot. That is a very nice opening for everyone’s favorite one-eyed mercenary. I love Deathstroke, so I am going to be in on this title. However, the fact that Tony Fleecs is the writer concerns me. Fleecs has never managed to have any sales success. Let’s hope for the best!
Punisher #2 fell from the number 18 spot to the number 39 spot. That is a bigger drop than I anticipated. But it’s still a good sign that it is still in the Top 50. Maybe it will be able to pull off a bit of a rally with the next issue. I am hoping this title does well and avoids the Rokk Kiss of Death.
Alias Red Band #1 had an unimpressive debut, barely making the Top 50 by taking the number 48 spot. Given this debut number, it looks like this five-issue mini-series will be out of the Top 75 with the next issue.
Daredevil / Punisher: The Devil’s Trigger #5 fell from the number 47 spot to the number 53 spot. That is a small drop and a nice finish for this mini-series, even if it could not quite conclude in the Top 50.
Marc Spector Moon Knight #2 fell from the number 27 spot to the number 57 spot. That is a rough second-issue drop and another sign that Moon Knight titles keep losing altitude faster with each new launch.
Marvel Knights Punisher #4 plummeted from the number 58 spot to the number 118 spot. Wow. That ended an impressive one-month rally when Marvel Knights Punisher #3 rallied from the number 104 spot to the number 58 spot.
Deadly Hands of K’un-Lun #2 was unranked after Deadly Hands of K’un-Lun #1 debuted at the number 172 spot in February 2026. That title was dead on arrival and then immediately got even worse. Marvel Comics keeps thinking there is an audience for this mantle swap character.
Legacy Character Comics
63 Nightwing #136 (DC Comics)
78 Titans #33 (DC Comics)
There were zero legacy character comics in the Top 10, zero comics in the Top 25, and zero comics in the Top 50. This was flat compared to February 2026, when there were zero legacy character comics in the Top 10, zero comics in the Top 25, and zero comics in the Top 50.
Year-over-year numbers were down, as there was one legacy character comic in the Top 10, one comic in the Top 25, and two comics in the Top 50 in March 2025.
Numbers were flat from two years ago, as there were zero legacy character comics in the Top 10, zero comics in the Top 25, and one comic in the Top 50 in March 2024.
Numbers were down from three years ago, as there were zero legacy character comics in the Top 10, one comic in the Top 25, and four comics in the Top 50 in March 2023.
Nightwing #136 climbed from the number 77 spot to the number 63 spot.
Titans #33 fell from the number 70 spot to the number 78 spot. That is exactly what you do not want to see from this title after the temporary sales help from the DC K.O. tie-in issues wore off.
Mantle Swap Comics
34 Venom #256 (Death Spiral)
46 Venom #255 (Death Spiral)
69 Batgirl #17
77 Captain Marvel Dark Past #1
99 The Flash #31
103 Generation X-23 #2
171 Batgirl #18
Unranked: Deadly Hands of K’un-Lun #2
There were zero mantle swap comics in the Top 10, zero comics in the Top 25, and two comics in the Top 50. This was better than February 2026, when there were zero mantle swap comics in the Top 10, zero comics in the Top 25, and one comic in the Top 50.
Year-over-year numbers were flat, with zero mantle swap comics in the Top 10, zero in the Top 25, and two in the Top 50 in March 2025.
Numbers were up from two years ago, as there were zero mantle swap comics in the Top 10, zero comics in the Top 25, and one comic in the Top 50 in March 2024.
Numbers were down from three years ago, as there were zero mantle swap titles in the Top 10, two titles in the Top 25, and four comics in the Top 50 in March 2023.
This category continues to be a problem area. Yes, it did better than February 2026 by getting two comics into the Top 50. But that is a very low bar, and the broader historical trend still tells the same story: readers are just not that interested in most mantle swap titles.
Mantle swap comics remain one of the weakest categories in the market. Venom got a temporary crossover-fueled boost, but Batgirl imploded with its second issue of the month, Captain Marvel launched softly, Flash is still limping along, and Generation X-23 cratered. Marvel Comics and DC Comics keep trying to make this category happen, but readers keep sending the same message back.

Eight out of the twenty-one new female lead titles this month were dead titles walking. This compressed 38% of the new female lead comics.
This was up from the four out of the eighteen new female lead comics that were dead titles walking in February 2026. That compressed 22% of the new female lead comics.
The female lead category had one huge strength and a mountain of weaknesses. Absolute Wonder Woman remained elite. Everything else ranged from mediocre to disastrous. Marvel Comics got shut out of the Top 50 entirely. DC Comics only managed one Top 50 book. And a bunch of titles either cratered or limped into the back half of the chart. All of the new female lead comics that have been rolled out in the past few months have crashed in the rankings.
This is another sign that publishers still struggle to build lasting sales momentum around this category outside of Absolute Wonder Woman. The problem is not with the characters. Psylocke, Rogue, Storm, and others are all fantastic characters. The problem lies with the editors calling the shots on these titles and the writers that they keep hiring to write these titles.
Sai: Dimensional Rivals #3 dropped from the number 165 spot and fell out of the Top 200 to go unranked.

This was down from the four new minority lead comics that were dead titles walking in February 2026, which comprised 57% of the new minority lead comics.
This category completely fell apart in March 2026. February 2026 was already weak, but at least it had one minority lead comic in the Top 50. March 2026 had none. That is a brutal result, especially when you compare it to March 2025 and March 2024, when this category at least managed one comic in the Top 10, one comic in the Top 25, and three comics in the Top 50.
Dead Titles Walking
Based on historical numbers from the Comichron as well as projections through April 2022, titles outside of the Top 100 are usually selling under the 18,000 unit sales mark. These are the Marvel Comics and DC Comics titles that are dead titles walking.
