It is time to check out the January 2026 comic book sales rankings. Things are getting murkier in terms of actual unit numbers. So, we must settle for going to ICv2 for their Top 200 sales rankings. It is not as good as actual unit numbers, but we must work with what we get.
Keep in mind that the Top 200 sales rankings are based on sales tracked at point-of-sale by the ComicHub system at over 125 local comic book shops selling American comics. These sales rankings represent sales to consumers by local comic shops.
We all know that these ICv2 sales charts based on the ComicHub system are not the best. However, as long as publishers hide their sales statistics, this is the best that we have to go by. You do see that these sales charts give a rough sketch of the market because titles that get canceled correspond with low sales rankings in these ComicHub charts. I wish we had better data to analyze, but we have to make do with whatever data we have these days.
The data for the January 2026 comic book sales rankings was collected based on a four-week month, from January 4 to February 2, 2026.
You can go over to ICv2 and check out the Top 50 for January 2026 for free, or opt for a pro membership (It is well worth the money) and get the Top 200 for January 2026, and then come back here for a detailed analysis of the January 2026 comic book sales rankings!

The Battle for the Top 10
DC Comics placed eight comics in the Top 10. Month-over-month sales were up from the six comics that DC Comics had in the Top 10 in December 2025.
Year-over-year numbers were up, as DC Comics had three comics in the Top 10 in January 2025.
Numbers were up from two years ago, as DC Comics had one comic in the Top 10 in January 2024.
Numbers were up from three years ago, as DC Comics had three comics in the Top 10 in January 2023.
Numbers were up from four years ago, as DC Comics had one comic in the Top 10 in January 2022.
Five of the eight DC Comics issues in the Top 10 were from the Absolute Universe. Two of the eight DC Comics issues in the Top 10 were from the DC K.O. big event. Bruce Wayne continues to be an unstoppable sales monster as he accounted for five of the eight DC Comics issues in the Top 10. Even more impressive is that the Top 3 issues in the sales chart were all Bruce Wayne comics. Those five issues were spread across DC K.O., the Absolute Universe, and Batman’s regular title.
DC Comics continues to beat the ever-living snot out of Marvel Comics in the Battle of the Top 10. This is a one-sided beatdown that we have seen DC Comics lay on Marvel Comics. Four years ago, the roles were reversed. Marvel Comics has no one to blame but themselves and their clueless editorial staff for frittering away the massive lead they used to have in the Top 10.
The selling power of Bruce Wayne continues to be stunning. It does not matter if you are talking about the regular DCU or the Absolute Universe. Bruce Wayne is the center of the universe around which all things revolve.
Marvel Comics placed two comics in the Top 10. Month-over-month sales were flat compared to the two comics that Marvel Comics had in the Top 10 in December 2025.
Year-over-year numbers were down as Marvel Comics had six comics in the Top 10 in January 2025.
Numbers were down from two years ago, as Marvel Comics had six comics in the Top 10 in January 2024.
Numbers were down from three years ago, as Marvel Comics had six comics in the Top 10 in January 2023.
Numbers were down from four years ago, as Marvel Comics had eight comics in the Top 10 in January 2022.
Marvel Comics two Top 10 issues came from the Ultimate Universe and Amazing Spider-Man.
What an embarrassing showing by Marvel Comics. Other than Peter Parker and the Ultimate Universe, Marvel Comics has nothing that is garnering mass attention from the consumer. It is shocking to see Marvel Comics crumbling in such a spectacular fashion.
Image Comics placed zero comics in the Top 10. Month-over-month sales were flat from the zero comics that Image Comics had in the Top 10 in December 2025.
Year-over-year numbers were down, as Image Comics had one comic in the Top 10 in January 2025.
Numbers were down from two years ago, as Image Comics had three comics in the Top 10 in January 2024.
Numbers were flat from three years ago, as Image Comics had zero comics in the Top 10 in January 2023.
Numbers were down from four years ago as Image Comics had one comic in the Top 10 in January 2022.
The Hasbro franchise has cooled considerably and the result is Image Comics is no longer able to crack into the Top 10 on a regular basis.
The Battle for the Top 25
Based on historical numbers from the Comichron as well as projections through April 2022, the titles in the numbers 11-25 range typically sell in the 65,000 to 50,000 unit range.
Marvel Comics placed twelve comics in the Top 25. Month-over-month sales were up from the seven comics that Marvel Comics had in the Top 25 in December 2025.
Year-over-year numbers were down, as Marvel Comics had sixteen comics in the Top 25 in January 2025.
Numbers were down from two years ago, as Marvel Comics had sixteen comics in the Top 25 in January 2024.
Numbers were down from three years ago, as Marvel Comics had sixteen comics in the Top 25 in January 2023.
Numbers were down from four years ago, as Marvel Comics had eighteen comics in the Top 25 in January 2022.
Four of the twelve Marvel Comics issues in the Top 25 came from the X-Men franchise. Three of the twelve Marvel Comics issues in the Top 25 came from the Ultimate Universe. Three of the twelve issues in the Top 25 came from Amazing Spider-Man. Two of the twelve issues in the Top 25 came from the Avengers franchise.
The news gets better for Marvel Comics as it surged forward and scored a tie with DC Comics in the Battle for the Top 25. Having said that, it is still embarrassing for Marvel Comics to be in a tie with DC Comics. Sales numbers in the Top 25 are down by a wide margin for Marvel Comics.
Having said that, Marvel Comics is enjoying a nice diversity of franchises that are powering its Top 25 sales numbers. While Marvel Comics does not have a single franchise that can match the sales power of the Absolute Universe, the House of the Mouse does have a wider variety of franchises to help battle the Absolute Universe.
DC Comics placed twelve comics in the Top 25. Month-over-month sales were down from the fifteen comics that DC Comics had in the Top 25 in December 2025.
Year-over-year numbers were up, as DC Comics had seven comics in the Top 25 in January 2025.
Numbers were up from two years ago, as DC Comics had six comics in the Top 25 in January 2024.
Numbers were up from three years ago, as DC Comics had eight comics in the Top 25 in January 2023.
Numbers were up from four years ago, as DC Comics had five comics in the Top 25 in January 2022.
Eight of the twelve DC Comics issues in the Top 25 were from the Absolute Universe. Two of the twelve DC Comics issues in the Top 25 were from the DC K.O. big event. Two of the twelve DC Comics issues in the Top 25 came from the Batman franchise.
DC Comics faded in the 11-25 range as they only slotted four issues in that range. DC Comics also lacked the diversity of franchises that Marvel Comics had in the Top 25. All of DC Comics’ Top 25 successes came from Absolute Universe, DC K.O., and Batman. Again, relying heavily on just a small number of franchises can absolutely work in the short-term. However, I am concerned that this approach is sustainable over the long-term.
Image Comics placed one comic in the Top 25. Month-over-month sales were flat compared to the one comic that Image Comics had in the Top 25 in December 2025.
Year-over-year numbers were down, as Image Comics had two comics in the Top 25 in January 2025.
Numbers were down from two years ago, as Image Comics had three comics in the Top 25 in January 2024.
Numbers were up from three years ago, as Image Comics had zero comics in the Top 25 in January 2023.
Numbers were down from four years ago as Image Comics had two comics in the Top 25 in January 2022.
Image Comics’ sole issue in the Top 25 came from the Hasbro franchise. Without the Hasbro franchise, Image Comics would have no chance of cracking into the Top 25.
The Battle for the Top 50
Based on historical numbers from the Comichron as well as projections through April 2022, the titles in the numbers 26-50 range typically sell in the 49,000 to 30,000 unit range.
Marvel Comics placed twenty-four comics in the Top 50. Month-over-month sales were down from the twenty-nine comics that Marvel Comics had in the Top 50 in December 2025.
Year-over-year numbers were down, as Marvel Comics had twenty-nine comics in the Top 50 in January 2025.
Numbers were down from two years ago, as Marvel Comics had thirty-three comics in the Top 50 in January 2024.
Numbers were down from three years ago, as Marvel Comics had thirty comics in the Top 50 in January 2023.
Numbers were down from four years ago, as Marvel Comics had thirty-three comics in the Top 50 in January 2022.
Eight of the twenty-four Marvel Comics issues in the Top 50 came from the X-Men franchise. Five of the twenty-four issues in the Top 50 came from the Spider-Man franchise. Four of the twenty-four Marvel Comics issues in the Top 50 came from the Ultimate Universe. Four of the twenty-four issues in the Top 50 came from the Avengers franchise. Two of the twenty-four issues in the Top 50 came from the Fantastic Four franchise. One of the twenty-four issues in the Top 50 came from the Punisher franchise.
Marvel Comics finally surged ahead of DC Comics in the Battle of the Top 50. The good news is that Marvel Comics can still beat DC Comics in the Battle of the Top 50. This is due to Marvel Comics having a far wider selection of franchises to power its sales success in the Top 50 compared to DC Comics.
Having said that, the bad news is obvious. Marvel Comics’ sales numbers in the Top 50 are down by a wide margin. It is astounding how Marvel Comics’ editorial staff managed to fritter away such a huge sales lead in the Top 50.
DC Comics placed twenty comics in the Top 50. Month-over-month sales were up from the sixteen comics that DC Comics had in the Top 50 in December 2025.
Year-over-year numbers were up, as DC Comics had sixteen comics in the Top 50 in January 2025.
Numbers were up from two years ago, as DC Comics had ten comics in the Top 50 in January 2024.
Numbers were up from three years ago, as DC Comics had thirteen comics in the Top 50 in January 2023.
Numbers were up from four years ago, as DC Comics had eleven comics in the Top 50 in January 2022.
Ten of the twenty DC Comics issues in the Top 50 were from the Absolute Universe. Six of the twenty DC Comics issues in the Top 50 were from the DC K.O. big event. Four of the twenty DC Comics issues in the Top 50 came from the Batman franchise.
DC Comics buckled and gave way under Marvel Comics’ relentless onslaught and lost the Battle of the Top 50. The main reason for this is that DC Comics relied completely on just the Absolute Universe, DC K.O., and the Batman franchise for all of its Top 50 sales success. Just three different franchises compared to the six different franchises that powered Marvel Comics’ Top 50 sales success.
Image Comics placed four comics in the Top 50. Month-over-month sales were flat compared to the four comics that Image Comics had in the Top 50 in December 2025.
Year-over-year numbers were flat, as Image Comics had four comics in the Top 50 in January 2025.
Numbers were down from two years ago, as Image Comics had six comics in the Top 50 in January 2024.
Numbers were up from three years ago, as Image Comics had three comics in the Top 50 in January 2023.
Numbers were down from four years ago, as Image Comics had six comics in the Top 50 in January 2022.
Two of the four Image Comics issues in the Top 50 were from the Hasbro franchise. One of the four issues in the Top 50 was from the Spawn franchise.
Exquisite Corpses #9 dipped from the number 37 spot to the number 38 spot.
IDW Publishing placed two comics in the Top 50. Month-over-month sales were up from the one comic that IDW Publishing had in the Top 50 in December 2025.
Year-over-year numbers were up, as IDW Publishing had one comic in the Top 50 in January 2025.
Numbers were up from two years ago, as IDW Publishing had zero comics in the Top 50 in January 2024.
Numbers were up from three years ago, as IDW Publishing had one comic in the Top 50 in January 2023.
Numbers were up from four years ago, as IDW Publishing had zero comics in the Top 50 in January 2022.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #14 plummeted from the number 10 spot to the number 45 spot. This is the exact same spot in the sales rankings that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #12 scored in November 2025.
Beneath the Trees Where Nobody Sees: Rite of Spring #5 took the number 49 spot.
The Battle for the Top 75
Based on historical numbers from the Comichron as well as projections through April 2022, the titles in the numbers 51-75 range typically sell in the 29,000 to 25,000 unit range.
Marvel Comics placed thirty-five comics in the Top 75. Month-over-month sales were down from the thirty-eight comics that Marvel Comics had in the Top 75 in December 2025.
Year-over-year numbers were down, as Marvel Comics had forty-two comics in the Top 75 in January 2025.
Numbers were down from two years ago, as Marvel Comics had forty-three comics in the Top 75 in January 2024.
Numbers were down from three years ago, as Marvel Comics had forty-three comics in the Top 75 in January 2023.
Numbers were down from four years ago, as Marvel Comics had forty-seven comics in the Top 75 in January 2022.
The good news is that Marvel Comics was able to beat DC Comics in the Battle of the Top 75. The bad news is that Marvel Comics sales numbers have utterly cratered. The sales numbers are down by such a wide margin. It is mind-blowing how Marvel Comics’ editors managed to piss away such a dominant sales lead.
DC Comics placed thirty-one comics in the Top 75. Month-over-month sales were up from the twenty-six comics that DC Comics had in the Top 75 in December 2025.
Year-over-year numbers were up, as DC Comics had twenty-two comics in the Top 75 in January 2025.
Numbers were up from two years ago, as DC Comics had nineteen comics in the Top 75 in January 2024.
Numbers were up from three years ago, as DC Comics had twenty comics in the Top 75 in January 2023.
Numbers were up from four years ago, as DC Comics had nineteen comics in the Top 75 in January 2022.
Thirteen of the thirty-one DC Comics issues in the Top 75 were from the Absolute Universe. Seven of the thirty-one DC Comics issues in the Top 75 were from the DC K.O. big event. Seven of the thirty-one DC Comics issues in the Top 75 came from the Batman franchise. Two of the thirty-one issues in the Top 75 came from the Superman franchise. Two of the thirty-one issues in the Top 75 came from the Justice League franchise.
Yes, DC Comics lost the Battle of the Top 75, but the great news is that DC Comics’ sales numbers are up by huge margins compared to the past four years. What a stunning difference. DC Comics still largely relies on Absolute Universe, DC K.O., and Batman for its Top 75 sales success. This is in stark contrast to the large numbers of different franchises that power Marvel Comics’ Top 75 sales success.
Image Comics placed six comics in the Top 75. Month-over-month sales were down from the eight comics that Image Comics had in the Top 75 in December 2025.

Year-over-year numbers were up, as IDW Publishing had two comics in the Top 75 in January 2025.

Spawn: Scorched #47 climbed from the number 175 spot to the number 161 spot.
Spawn: Rat City #21 was unranked for the eighth straight month. At some point, Erica Schultz has got to be replaced as the writer on this title. Schultz has never had any sales success with a superhero comic book.
Ghost Machine Titles
70 Geiger #20
118 Redcoat #16
Ghost Machine had zero comics in the Top 50. This was flat compared to December 2025, when Ghost Machine had zero comics in the Top 50.
Year-over-year numbers were down, as Ghost Machine had zero comics in the Top 10, zero comics in the Top 25, and one comic in the Top 50 in January 2025.
Geiger #20 ticked up from the number 75 spot to the number 70 spot. This makes it two consecutive months that Geiger has made the Top 75.
Redcoat #16 dipped from the number 116 spot to the number 118 spot.
Godzilla Franchise
75 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles X Godzilla #2
109 Godzilla (Kai-Sei Era) #6
196 Starship Godzilla (Kai-Sei Era) #4
The Godzilla franchise had zero comics in the Top 50. This was flat compared to December 2025, when the Godzilla franchise had zero comics in the Top 50.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles X Godzilla #2 dropped from the number 35 spot to the number 75 spot. Only IDW Publishing could manage to have a comic starring two huge properties sell this poorly.
Godzilla (Kai-Sei Era) #6 climbed from the number 136 spot to the number 109 spot. This title continues to sell far off the pace of its number 47 debut spot.
Starship Godzilla (Kai-Sei Era) #4 was unranked last month and just managed to barely climb back into the Top 200 by taking the number 196. Chalk this as another sales disappointment from IDW Publishing with another popular IP.
Star Wars Franchise
99 Star Wars #9
103 Star Wars: The Legacy of Vader #12
155 Star Wars Han Solo – Hunt for the Falcon #5
181 Star Wars Boba Fett – Black, White & Red #4 (Resolictiation)
197 Star Wars #8 (Resolictiation)
The Star Wars franchise had zero comics in the Top 50. This was worse than December 2025, when the Star Wars franchise had zero comics in the Top 50.
Year-over-year numbers were flat, as the Star Wars franchise had zero comics in the Top 50 in January 2025.
Numbers were down from two years ago, as the Star Wars franchise had one comic in the Top 10, three comics in the Top 25, and three comics in the Top 50 in January 2024.
Numbers were down from three years ago, as the Star Wars franchise had zero comics in the Top 10, one comic in the Top 25, and four comics in the Top 50 in January 2023.
Numbers were down from four years ago, as the Star Wars franchise had zero comics in the Top 10, zero comics in the Top 25, and three comics in the Top 50 in January 2022.
The Star Wars franchise remains a steaming pile of dog crap. It is sad to see the current pathetic state of affairs for this franchise.
Star Wars #9 climbed from the number 130 spot to the number 99 spot.
Star Wars: The Legacy of Vader #12 dipped from the number 99 spot to the number 103 spot.
Star Wars Han Solo – Hunt for the Falcon #5 climbed from the number 190 spot to the number 155 spot.
Spider-Man Franchise
10 Amazing Spider-Man #19
17 Amazing Spider-Man #20
18 Knull #1
35 Black Cat #6
42 Amazing Spider-Man Annual #1
56 Spider-Man Noir #4
59 Amazing Spider-Man Torn #4
65 Spider-Man & Wolverine #9
68 Venom #253 (Marvel Comics)
71 Spider-Man ’94 #5
79 Amazing Spider-Man #18 (Resolictiation)
92 All-New Spider-Gwen The Ghost-Spider #6
110 Miles Morales: Spider-Man #42
188 Amazing Spider-Man #17 (Resolictiation)
192 Spider-Man ’94 #4 (Resolictiation)
The Spider-Man franchise had one comic in the Top 10, three comics in the Top 25, and five comics in the Top 50. This was better in the Top 10 and Top 25, but worse in the Top 50 than December 2025, when the Spider-Man franchise had zero comics in the Top 10, one comic in the Top 25, and six comics in the Top 50.
Year-over-year numbers were down in the Top 10 and Top 25, but flat in the Top 50, as the Spider-Man franchise had two comics in the Top 10, five comics in the Top 25, and five comics in the Top 50 in January 2025.
Numbers were down from two years ago, as the Spider-Man franchise had three comics in the Top 10, five comics in the Top 25, and nine comics in the Top 50 in January 2024.
Numbers were down from three years ago, as the Spider-Man franchise had three comics in the Top 10, five comics in the Top 25, and eight comics in the Top 50 in January 2023.
Numbers were down from four years ago, as the Spider-Man franchise had one comic in the Top 10, four comics in the Top 25, and eight comics in the Top 50 in January 2022.
Let’s begin with the star of the show: Peter Parker.
Amazing Spider-Man #19 took the number 10 spot and Amazing Spider-Man #20 took the number 17 spot. This was better than December 2025 when Amazing Spider-Man #18 took the number 18 spot and Amazing Spider-Man #18 took the number 26 spot.
Amazing Spider-Man Torn #4 ticked up from the number 68 spot to the number 59 spot.
Spider-Man & Wolverine #9 dropped from the number 49 spot to the number 65 spot. This is only the second issue of this title to sell outside of the Top 50.
Spider-Man ’94 #5 climbed from the number 85 spot to the number 71 spot.
Let’s hop over to the knock-off Spider-Men.
Spider-Man Noir #4 dropped from the number 45 spot to the number 56 spot. This is the first time that this title has sold outside of the Top 50.
Miles Morales: Spider-Man #42 dropped from the number 90 spot to the number 110 spot. This title finds itself back in its normal place in the charts: the Dead Titles Walking category.
Knull #1 enjoyed a nice debut at the number 18 spot. We shall see what kind of sales legs this five-issue mini-series has in the upcoming months.
Venom #253 plummeted from the number 35 spot to the number 68 spot.
Black Cat #6 climbed from the number 47 spot to the number 35 spot. This title has managed to climb up in the rankings in two consecutive months.
All-New Spider-Gwen The Ghost-Spider #6 fell from the number 83 spot to the number 92 spot. This title should be in the Dead Titles Walking category soon.
X-Men Franchise
15 Psylocke Ninja #1
16 Uncanny X-Men #22
20 X-Men #23
23 Rogue #1
26 X-Men #24
30 Logan Black, White & Blood #1
32 Wolverine #14
44 Inglorious X-Force #1
52 X-Men of Apocalypse #2
108 Sai Dimensional Rivals #1
132 X-Men Age of Revelation Finale #1 (Age of Revelation) (Resolictiation)
The X-Men franchise had zero comics in the Top 10, four comics in the Top 25, and eight comics in the Top 50. This was better than December 2025, when the X-Men franchise had zero comics in the Top 10, zero comics in the Top 25, and two comics in the Top 50.
Year-over-year numbers were down, as the X-Men franchise had four comics in the Top 10, eight comics in the Top 25, and fourteen comics in the Top 50 in January 2025.
Numbers were down in the Top 10 and Top 25, but flat in the Top 50 from two years ago, as the X-Men franchise had two comics in the Top 10, five comics in the Top 25, and eight comics in the Top 50 in January 2024.
Numbers were flat from three years ago, as the X-Men franchise had one title in the Top 10, four titles in the Top 25, and eight comics in the Top 50 in January 2023.
Numbers were down in the Top 10, flat in the Top 25, and up in the Top 50 from four years ago, as the X-Men franchise had three comics in the Top 10, four comics in the Top 25, and six comics in the Top 50 in January 2022.
Uncanny X-Men #22 climbed from the number 36 spot to the number 16 spot.
X-Men #23 climbed from the number 33 spot to the number 20 spot. X-Men #24 then dipped to the number 26 spot.
Inglorious X-Force #1 had an okay debut at the number 44 spot. This is another new title from Tim Seeley. This debut number does not give me much hope that this title is going to be able to stay in the Top 75 in the next few issues.
X-Men of Apocalypse #2 fell from the number 22 spot to the number 52 spot. Welp. This six-issue limited series dropped out of the Top 50 a bit faster than I had anticipated.
Let’s hop over to the lone dude of the X-Men franchise this month.
Logan Black, White & Blood #1 had a solid debut at the number 30 spot. You would hope that a four-issue limited series starring Wolverine could at least crack the Top 25.
Wolverine #14 ticked up from the number 38 spot to the number 32 spot. This title has now sold outside of the Top 25 for sixth consecutive months. This should never happen with the flagship Wolverine solo title.
Let’s finish with the ladies of the X-Men franchise.
Psylocke Ninja #1 enjoyed an excellent debut at the number 15 spot. It is wonderful to see that Tim Seeley has replaced Alyssa Wong after Wong’s Psylocke title flamed out in the rankings. Maybe Marvel Comics editorial is starting to learn? Ha! Good one. I almost tricked myself with that one! We shall see what kind of sales legs this five-issue limited series has in the next few months.
The same cannot be said for the other Psylocke title that debuted this month. Sai Dimensional Rivals #1 had an awful debut at the number 108 spot. Peach Momoko’s five-issue limited series is a dead title walking right out of the gate.
Rogue #1 had a solid debut at the number 23 spot. I am sure the David Nakayama cover had something to do with the sales numbers for this issue. I do not have any faith in this five-issue mini-series selling well. Erica Schultz is the writer, and she has been a total sales failure in everything she has done for Marvel Comics. So, much for my belief that the Marvel Comics editorial staff would not continue to smash themselves in the face with a hammer and expect a different result each time.
Avengers Franchise
14 Iron Man #1
22 Captain America #6
41 Avengers #34
47 Infernal Hulk #3
54 Alien Vs. Captain America #3
67 Mortal Thor #6
83 Planet She-Hulk #3
104 New Avengers #8
142 Hulk Smash Everything #2
154 Black Panther Intergalactic #2
177 Infernal Hulk #1 (Resolictiation)
The Avengers franchise had zero comics in the Top 10, two comics in the Top 25, and four comics in the Top 50. This was better than December 2025, when the Avengers franchise had zero comics in the Top 10, zero comics in the Top 25, and two comics in the Top 50.
Year-over-year numbers were up in the Top 25 but down in the Top 50, as the Avengers franchise had zero comics in the Top 10, one comic in the Top 25, and five comics in the Top 50 in January 2025.
Numbers were down from two years ago, as the Avengers franchise had one comic in the Top 10, three comics in the Top 25, and seven comics in the Top 50 in January 2024.
Numbers were down from three years ago, as the Avengers franchise had one title in the Top 10, three titles in the Top 25, and six comics in the Top 50 in January 2023.
Numbers were down from four years ago, as the Avengers franchise had three comics in the Top 10, four comics in the Top 25, and six comics in the Top 50 in January 2022.
Avengers #34 climbed from the number 62 spot to the number 41 spot. This was the second consecutive month that this title has climbed up in the rankings.
New Avengers #8 dipped from the number 101 spot to the number 104 spot. This is the second consecutive month that this title has been in the Dead Titles Walking category.
Iron Man #1 had an excellent debut at the number 14 spot. This is no surprise. Joshua Williamson is the writer of this title, and Williamson has been on an unstoppable sales monster. It will be interesting to see if Williamson can be the first writer in an eternity to make Mr. Emma Frost a Top 50 title monthly.
Let’s zip over to the dudes of the Avengers franchise.
Captain America #6 dipped from the number 20 spot to the number 22 spot. Six issues into this new title, and it is still a sales beast.
Alien vs. Captain America #3 fell from the number 39 spot to the number 54 spot. Last month, I predicted this title would drop out of the Top 50. Having said that, this four-issue mini-series still has a shot of concluding in the Top 75.
Infernal Hulk #3 dropped from the number 30 spot to the number 47 spot. This is a bigger drop than I anticipated, given the tiny drop between the first and second issue. We shall see if this title can rally with the next issue.
Hulk Smash Everything #2 plummeted from the number 59 spot to the number 142 spot. Yeah, I predicted this was going to happen given the unimpressive debut number. This four-issue mini-series from Ryan North is a lock to conclude in the Dead Titles Walking category.
Mortal Thor #6 dropped from the number 55 spot to the number 67 spot. This is just the second issue since the debut issue to make the Top 75.
Black Panther Intergalactic #2 fell from the number 119 spot to the number 154 spot. This four-issue limited series from Victor LaVelle might end up unranked by its last issue. This was a predictable sales failure given that LaVelle is not a novelist and not a mainstream comic book writer.
Let’s wrap up with the sole lady of the Avengers franchise.
Planet She-Hulk #3 dropped from the number 65 spot to the number 83 spot. This is a far cry from the excellent debut at the number 24 spot. I predicted that this title would plummet in the sales ratings. Stephanie Phillips continues to do what she does best: drive away readers. It is amazing how someone who has a long-established history of sales failures continues to find gainful employment with the biggest comic book publisher.
Fantastic Four Franchise
27 Fantastic Four #7
28 Dungeons of Doom #1
94 Will of Doom #1 (Resolictiation)
The Fantastic Four franchise had zero comics in the Top 10, zero comics in the Top 25, and two comics in the Top 50. This was worse in the Top 25 but flat in the Top 50 compared to December 2025, when the Fantastic Four franchise had zero comics in the Top 10, two comics in the Top 25, and two comics in the Top 50.
Year-over-year numbers were down, as the Fantastic Four franchise had zero comics in the Top 10, one comic in the Top 25, and three comics in the Top 50 in October 2024.
Fantastic Four #7 dropped from the number 20 spot to the number 27 spot. This is time this title has ranked outside of the Top 25.
Dungeons of Doom #1 had a solid debut at the number 28 spot. This three-issue limited series from Benjamin Percy and Phillip Kennedy Johnson might turn out to be a solid seller.
The Ultimate Universe
5 Ultimate Endgame #1 (Resolictiation)
13 Ultimate Wolverine #13
19 Ultimates #20
36 Ultimate X-Men #23
69 Ultimate Black Panther #24
85 Ultimates #19 (Resolictiation)
143 Ultimate Spider-Man #23 (Resolictiation)
The Ultimate Universe had one comic in the Top 10, three comics in the Top 25, and four comics in the Top 50. This was worse than December 2025, when the Ultimate Universe had two comics in the Top 10, four comics in the Top 25, and six comics in the Top 50.
Year-over-year numbers were down, as the Ultimate Universe had two comics in the Top 10, three comics in the Top 25, and five comics in the Top 50 in January 2025.
Ultimate Wolverine #13 climbed from the number 24 spot to the number 13 spot. This was a nice rally from the lowest sales ranking we had seen from this title to this point.
Ultimates #20 rebounded from the number 42 spot to the number 19 spot. This was also a nice rally from the lowest sales ranking we had seen from this title to this point.
Ultimate X-Men #23 took the number 36 spot, which was the same ranking this title had in December 2025.
Ultimate Black Panther #24 took the number 69 spot, which was the same ranking this title had in December 2025.
Batman Franchise
3 Batman #5
8 DC K.O. Knightfight #3 (Of 4)

91 Batgirl #15
107 Batman #4 (Resolictiation)
112 Catwoman #83
116 Batman The Killing Joke #1 Facsimile Edition
129 Harley and Ivy Life and Crimes #3 (Of 6)
130 Harley Quinn X Elvira #4 (Dynamite Ent.)
163 Detective Comics #1104 (Resolictiation)
164 Batman #1 (Resolictiation)
169 Harley Quinn #58
171 DC K.O. Harley Quinn Vs Zatanna (One-Shot) #1 (Resolictiation)
183 DC K.O. Knightfight #2 (Of 4) (Resolictiation)
195 Batman #676 Facsimile Edition
The Batman franchise had two comics in the Top 10, three comics in the Top 25, and five comics in the Top 50. This was worse in the Top 10 and Top 25 and flat in the Top 50 compared to December 2025, when the Batman franchise had three comics in the Top 10, five comics in the Top 25, and five comics in the Top 50.
Year-over-year numbers were down, as the Batman franchise had one comic in the Top 10, two comics in the Top 25, and eight comics in the Top 50 in January 2025.
Numbers were up in the Top 10 and Top 25, but flat in the Top 50 compared to two years ago, as the Batman franchise had one comic in the Top 10, two comics in the Top 25, and five comics in the Top 50 in January 2024.
Numbers were down from three years ago, as the Batman franchise had three titles in the Top 10, six titles in the Top 25, and ten comics in the Top 50 in January 2023.
Numbers were down from four years ago, as the Batman franchise had one comic in the Top 10, five comics in the Top 25, and ten comics in the Top 50 in January 2022.
Let’s start with the paragon of virtue: Bruce Wayne.
Batman #5 took the number 3 spot, which was the same place in the rankings this title took in December 2025.
Batman/Green Arrow/The Question: Arcadia #2 took the number 43 spot, which was the same place in the rankings that this title took in November 2025. That is great news for this four-issue mini-series! I was worried that such a low debut number meant that Gabriel Hardman’s mini-series was going to suffer a big drop in the rankings. Well, look at that, a comic that Rokk likes is actually doing well in the rankings!
Batman Superman World’s Finest #47 rebounded from the number 72 spot to the number 51 spot. This is around the spot in the rankings where we normally see this title.
Detective Comics #1105 dipped from the number 57 spot to the number 63 spot. This title has now sold outside of the Top 50 for four of the past five months.
Batman and Robin #29 ticked up from the number 98 spot to the number 87 spot.
Let’s check out the long bat-boy title.
Nightwing #134 climbed from the number 66 spot to the number 48 spot. This was the second consecutive month this title has climbed in the rankings.
Let’s wrap up with the ladies of the Batman franchise.
Poison Ivy #40 climbed from the number 89 spot to the number 74 spot. This was the same spot in the rankings that Poison Ivy #38 had in November 2025.
Batgirl #15 climbed from the number 107 spot to the number 91 spot. This title has been in the Dead Titles Walking category for three of the past five issues.
Catwoman #83 climbed from the number 139 spot to the number 112 spot. This title is a permanent dweller in the Dead Titles Walking category.
Harley and Ivy Life and Crimes #3 ticked up from the number 137 spot to the number 129 spot. This title has been an utter sales failure after its debut at the number 54 spot. This was entirely predictable given that Erica Henderson is the writer and she is not a mainstream comic book writer.
Harley Quinn #58 fell from the number 147 spot to the number 169. This is another permanent resident of the Dead Titles Walking category.
Superman Franchise
34 Superman #34 (DC K.O.)
51 Batman Superman World’s Finest #47
62 Supergirl #9
73 Action Comics #1094
89 50th Anniversary Treasury Edition Superman Vs The Amazing Spider-Man #1 Facsimile Edition
100 Superman Unlimited #9
127 Adventures of Superman Book of El #5 (Of 12)
131 Superman #33 (DC K.O.) (Resolictiation)

Numbers were flat from four years ago, as the Superman franchise had zero comics in the Top 10, zero comics in the Top 25, and one comic in the Top 50 in January 2022.
Superman #34 dipped from the number 29 spot to the number 34 spot. DC K.O. continues to be a blessing for this title.
Action Comics #1094 climbed from the number 94 spot to the number 73 spot. It has been quite some time since we have seen this title in the Top 75.
Superman Unlimited #9 ticked up from the number 103 spot to the number 100 spot. This just barely snapped a two-month stay in the Dead Titles Walking category.
Adventures of Superman Book of El #5 climbed from the number 142 spot to the number 127 spot. This twelve-issue limited series has been unranked or in the Dead Titles Walking category for four consecutive issues.
Supergirl #9 climbed from the number 96 spot to the number 62 spot. Wow. Just when this title was about to slip into the Dead Titles Walking category, it pulled off a solid rebound.
DC’s Supergirl Next Door #1 had a brutal debut at the number 150 spot. What a sales disaster. This is a good example of DC Comics editors searching for an audience that does not exist.
Justice League Franchise
33 DC K.O. Green Lantern Galactic Slam #1 (One-Shot)
37 Justice League Unlimited #15 (DC K.O.)
43 Batman/Green Arrow/The Question: Arcadia #2 (Of 4)

171 DC K.O. Harley Quinn Vs Zatanna (One-Shot) #1 (Resolictiation)
185 The Flash #28 (DC K.O.) (Resolictiation)
The Justice League franchise had zero comics in the Top 10, zero comics in the Top 25, and three comics in the Top 50. This was worse than December 2025, when the Justice League franchise had zero comics in the Top 10, two comics in the Top 25, and five comics in the Top 50.
Year-over-year numbers were down, as the Justice League franchise had one comic in the Top 10, four comics in the Top 25, and five comics in the Top 50 in January 2025.
Numbers were down in the Top 10 and Top 25, but up in the Top 50 from two years ago, as the Justice League franchise had zero comics in the Top 10, two comics in the Top 25, and two comics in the Top 50 in January 2024.
Numbers were up from three years ago, as the Justice League franchise had zero comics in the Top 50 in January 2023.
Numbers were up from four years ago, as the Justice League franchise had zero comics in the Top 50 in January 2022.
Justice League Unlimited #15 dipped from the number 33 spot to the number 37 spot. This title continues to be unable to get back into the Top 25.
JSA #15 climbed from the number 109 spot to the number 88 spot. This is the first time this title has been outside of the Dead Titles Walking category since JSA #4!
Justice League Red #6 ticked up from the number 163 spot to the number 157 spot. This is the fourth consecutive month that Saladin Ahmed’s title has been in the Dead Titles Walking category. What a sales disaster. This is more of DC Comics editorial searching for an audience that does not exist.
Let’s check out the dudes of the Justice League franchise.
Aquaman #13 plummeted from the number 32 spot to the number 72 spot. That DC K.O. bump did not last too long for this title. Still, this is better than where we normally see this comic.
The Flash #29 plummeted from the number 48 spot to the number 84 spot. The DC K.O. bump also faded for this title. Having said that, this is still lightyears ahead of when this title was struggling to even get ranked in the Top 200!
Let’s check out the Green Lantern franchise.
Green Lantern Corps #12 climbed from the number 141 spot to the number 114 spot. Morgan Hampton’s title has now been in the Dead Titles Walking category for seven of the past eight issues.
Green Lantern #31 ticked up from the number 128 spot to the number 125 spot. Remember back when Green Lantern used to be a sales monster? Those were good times.
Let’s wrap up with the ladies of the Justice League franchise.
Wonder Woman #29 climbed from the number 77 spot to the number 57 spot. It has been a while since Wonder Woman has been able to get back into the Top 75.
Wonder Woman Black & Gold 2026 Special #1 had a poor debut at the number 93 spot.
Cheetah and Cheshire Rob the Justice League #6 climbed from the number 169 spot to the number 145 spot. This six-issue limited series was a total sales disaster. This title spent all six issues either unranked or in the Dead Titles Walking category. DC Comics’ editors continue crank out comics with no audience.

Year-over-year numbers were up, as the Absolute Universe franchise had three comics in the Top 10, five comics in the Top 25, and five comics in the Top 50 in October 2024.
Absolute Batman Ark-M Special #1 had a dominant debut at the number 1 spot.
Absolute Batman #16 dipped from the number 1 spot to the number 2 spot. Sixteen issues in, and this title just continues to nail Top 2 finishes all the time. Insane.
Absolute Superman #15 ticked up from the number 11 spot to the number 6 spot.
Absolute Wonder Woman #16 dropped from the number 4 spot to the number 7 spot.
Absolute Martian Manhunter #8 ticked up from the number 12 spot to the number 11 spot.
Absolute Green Lantern #10 ticked up from the number 25 spot to the number 21 spot.
Absolute Flash #11 dipped from the number 23 spot to the number 25 spot.
Absolute Green Lantern and Absolute Flash remain the “weakest” selling Absolute Universe titles. Pretty insane when a “weak” selling title is a Top 25 seller!
However, there is no debate that it is Absolute Batman who stirs the drink in the Absolute Universe, and it is not even close.
Absolute Flash, Absolute Superman, and Absolute Martian Manhunter all had one resolicited issue in the Top 200. That’s nice. Absolute Wonder Woman had two resolicited issues. That’s cute. Absolute Batman had five resolicited issues in the Top 200, with two in the Top 50 and one in the Top 10. That is insane. Absolute Batman alone had three issues in the Top 10 and took the overall number 1 and number 2 spots in the sales charts.

126 Wiccan Witches’ Road #2 (Marvel Comics)
Unranked: Strange Tales #4 (Marvel Comics)
Sorcerer Supreme #2 dropped from the number 38 spot to the number 66 spot. This was to be expected. Steve Orlando never gets good sales numbers. We should see this title out of the Top 75 next month.
Doctor Strange #2 crashed from the number 27 spot to the number 76 spot. Yikes. It is a bad sign for Derek Landy’s new title to already be outside of the Top 75.
Marvel Zombies Red Band #5 climbed from the number 112 spot to the number 80 spot. This is roughly where this title was in November when it took the number 82 spot.
Spirits of Violence #4 climbed from the number 125 spot to the number 105 spot. This is the second straight month that this five-issue mini-series has been in the Dead Titles Walking category.
Wiccan Witches’ Road #2 crashed and burned, falling from the number 50 spot to the number 126 spot. This is no surprise at all. I had a hard time figuring out who would want to spend money on this title.
Strange Tales #4 was unranked for a third consecutive month. What an epic sales failure. Marvel Comics’ editors continue to green-light titles that have no audience at all.

Street Level Comics
39 Punisher Red Band #5 (Marvel Comics)
53 Daredevil / Punisher: The Devil’s Trigger #3 (Marvel Comics)
Punisher Red Band #5 climbed from the number 53 spot to the number 39 spot. This is a nice rally by this title to get back into the Top 50. Maybe the Rokk Kiss of Death won’t strike down this title after all!
Daredevil / Punisher: The Devil’s Trigger #3 fell from the number 43 spot to the number 53 spot. This five-issue mini-series still has a nice shot of finishing ranked in the Top 75.

Luna Snow World Tour #1 had a weak debut at the number 77 spot. This one-shot issue did not find much of an audience.
Marvel Rivals Luna Snow and the Cities of Heaven #1 had a brutal debut at the number 134 spot. This one-shot issue was a total sales dud. I am unsure what made Marvel Comics think that there was a market for two different Luna Snow one-shots in the same month.
