CREATIVE TEAM

Writer: Matt Fraction

Artist: Jorge Jimenez

Colorist: Tomeu Morey

Letterer: Clayton Cowles

After all the recent big things that have gone on in Gotham City Batman #11 is a transition chapter for Matt Fraction’s run. We get multiple points of views to give us insight into where things stand after Mayor Poison Ivy and Commissioner Vandal Savage started hunting the Batman Family. This decision had a wide ranging impact on the state of Gotham City as Fraction and Jimenez focus on how it impacts the citizens. Yes, we still get a focus on Bruce Wayne and a cool action sequence with Batman vs Ojo. But the heart of the story of this issue was a strong focus on the city itself as all roads lead to the upcoming Bad Seeds crossover event.

Overall Rating: 8 Night Girls out of 10

Weekly Comic Book Reviews For 7/1/26: Iron Man #7IRON MAN #7

CREATIVE TEAM

Writer: Joshua Williamson

Artist: Von Randal

Colorist: Erick Arciniega

Letterer: Joe Caramagna

Iron Man #7 is a reminder of how important War Machine James Rhodes is to the franchise. There is no one that can talk to Tony Stark in a personal tone in the way Rhodey does. Their friendship is just different from Tony’s other relationships. There is an honesty to their interaction as Rhodey does not hold back in questioning Tony’s recent decisions. He does so in a way that focuses on him being Tony’s friend, while continuing the progress the concern the Avengers and others have about Iron Man’s recent actions. That along with the progression made for A.I.M. next move under their new leadership continues solidify the foundation of this series direction.

Overall Rating: 7.5 Night Girls out of 10

Weekly Comic Book Reviews For 7/1/26: Power Rangers Unlimited #1POWER RANGERS UNLIMITED #1

CREATIVE TEAM

Writer: Kenny Porter and Joey Esposito

Artist: Alessio Zonno

Colorist: Raul Angulo

Letterer: Ed Dukeshire

Power Rangers Unlimited #1 is the first time in a while where it feels like we are getting new Power Rangers content that is not just about tapping into the nostalgia. Yes, there is plenty of hype moments in this issue that is built on the nostalgia fans have for the Power Rangers. It is in tapping into the nostalgia factor of the series where the story shines. Having Trini Kwan as the lead in a new upgraded form leading a variety of legendary Power Rangers is just a blast. Opening things up with a fight against Lord Zedd and other villains from the different Power Rangers season gave this opening a fast-moving pace. How this extended fight sets up the world for both the heroes and mysterious main villain builds maximum amount of excitement for what this series will deliver in the future.
