BOOM! Studios has provides us with a first look at their new upcoming series Ghostlore #1 releasing on May 10, 2023. Ghostlore is set to be a new horror series by acclaimed writer Cullen Bunn (Godzilla vs. The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, The Empty Man and Harrow County), superstar artist Leomacs (Basketful of Heads), colorist Jason Wordie (Abbott, Wasted Space), and letterer Ed Dukeshire (Once & Future). The series will also feature guest artist Brian Hurtt (Manor Black) and colorist Bill Crabtree (BRZRKR).
In a tease for what to expect from Ghostlore #1 BOOM! Studios solicitation states:
We’ve all heard of ghost stories…but what ghost stories to the ghost themselves tell?
After a deadly accident, estranged father and daughter Lucas and Harmony Agate can see the dead–an overwhelming amount of them. Each one with their own warnings, cries for help, and malevolence alike. But the pastor and his daughter aren’t the only ones with this haunting ability; there are other nearly-deads, some of which have malicious intentions…
Along with the main cover by series artist Leomacs, Ghostlore #1 will feature several variant covers by Brian Hurtt (Manor Black, The Sixth Gun), Tonči Zonjić (Skulldigger and Skeleton Boy, Shadowman), Reiko Murakami (Basketful of Heads, Nightmare Country), and Jenny Frison (Wonder Woman, Catwoman). Physical copies of Ghostlore #1 will be available in comic shops on May 10, 2023. It is available for pre-order at your local comic shop or at the BOOM! Studios webstore. Digital copies can be purchased from digital content providers, including comiXology, iBooks, Google Play, and Kindle.
