We have a total of 9 titles headed to the Bunker today. This week is only half of the monster shipment that we got last Friday. And I am glad for that. I still have not finished with my stack of comic books from last Friday. Without a doubt, this week does not even come close to the quality of titles like we got last week. We were absolutely spoiled by so many incredible reads from Marvel last week. This week looks to be a bit pedestrian.

Which DC comic book am I most looking forward to reading? None. This is a pretty lame selection of comic books headed our way from DC.

Which DC comic book am I least looking forward to reading? I have little to no interest in this two part Faces of Evil story starring Hush and Catwoman. With Batman’s absence from this title for the foreseeable future I doubt that I will be looking forward to either Batman or Detective Comics for a long while.

Terror Titans #4 will probably be another shallow read with a few more blood soaked fight scenes. This title is a rather dumb read and I do not expect it to improve at this point. Static Shock fans will certainly be excited for this issue. Unfortunately, I am not a Static Shock fan.

Still, the DC comic book that I am least looking forward to reading is Trinity #32. I get the feeling that nobody cares at all about this title.

Which Marvel comic book am I most looking forward to reading? X-Men: Noir #2 should be a great read. Fred Van Lente did an excellent job with the first issue of this title. Van Lente has created an intriguing setting for this story and immediately hooked my interest.

However, the Marvel comic book that I am most looking forward to reading is Secret Invasion: War of Kings One Shot. DnA have done an incredible job with Marvel’s cosmic characters and I fully expect them to do an equally impressive job with War of Kings. Also, I enjoyed Secret Invasion: Inhumans and am looking forward to seeing what DnA have in store for the Inhumans.

Which Marvel comic book am I least looking forward to reading? I have my doubts that Sub-Mariner: Depths #4 will be a particularly interesting read. While I do think that this story has plenty of potential the execution has been lacking. The plotting has been unfocused and weak and the pacing far too slow. I feel like I have read the same issue over and over during the first three issues on this title.

However, the Marvel comic book that I am least looking forward to reading is Invincible Iron Man #9. This title continues to be a thin read and poorly written from a basic standard of what I would expect from a published writer. Maybe Fraction will surprise me with this new direction for this title. But, based on the first eight issues I see no reason to expect any improvement in the quality of writing.
