The Revolution just reads way too many titles. I think I need to start pruning my pull list a bit. Once again, there is a monster sized shipment of comics headed to the Bunker. We have a total of 17 titles for this week. That is just too many. This week is a bit Marvel heavy as we get several World War Hulk tie-in issues. As always, I’ll try to post as many reviews as possible.

Which DC comic book am I most looking forward to reading? Batman #666. I’m digging Morrison’s upcoming Damien Wayne as Batman of the future story arc. This should certainly provide for an entertaining story.

Which DC comic book am I least looking forward to reading? That would be Superman #665. This title continues to be a bit of a boring read. Either this title gets more interesting or it is falling victim to The Revolution’s dreaded axe.

Which Marvel comic book am I most looking forward to reading? That is such an easy choice, especially given this rather weak collection of titles this week. It has to be Immortal Iron Fist #7. This title has quickly become my favorite Marvel title currently on the market. Brubaker, Fraction and Aja have created one mind blowing read on Iron Fist.

Which Marvel comic book am I least looking forward to reading? It is either Amazing Spider-Man #542, Wolverine #55 or X-Men #201. X-Men has given us a pedestrian storyline with art that makes my head hurt. Amazing Spider-Man has given us a over wrought cheesy story with an anti-climactic ending waiting for us with Spider-Man versus Kingpin. And Wolverine has given us this horrid Lupine storyline. I’m going to go with Wolverine #55. No matter my quibbles with the other titles, the story arc over on Wolverine has been a total and complete train wreck.

I’ll try my best to start posting reviews as soon as possible. I hope everyone enjoys their new comic books for this week.

  1. I’m surprised you aren’t getting Green Lantern Corps, since it’s the other half of the “Sinestro Corps” story. I’m getting the first issue, at least, to see Sinestro face off with his successor GL of Korugar.

Also looking forward to Mighty Avengers (Cho’s inking his own artwork ate into his leadtime pretty quickly, but since the alternative seems to be Yu on New Avengers, I’m cool with waiting a bit) and X-Men.

  2. Rokk, is the revolutions going to make its way to SD for the convention this weekend? Also, check out my blog for a recap of this month’s top grossers, how many are you reading?
