It looks like The Revolution is getting a monster sized shipment of comic books headed to the Bunker today. We have a whopping total of 14 titles for this week. This is certainly a Marvel heavy week as we get “treated” to plenty of World War Hulk tie-in issues. As always, I’ll try to post as many reviews as possible.

Which DC comic book am I most looking forward to reading? Ordinarily, the latest issue of Countdown would have received this honor. However, this week it goes to Justice League of America #10. I am anxiously awaiting the finale to this Legion of Super Heroes story arc. I have absolutely loved this story arc. I cannot wait to see what Meltzer has in store for us with this issue. Hopefully, we will get some more answers on what is going on with the Pre-Crisis Legion.

Which DC comic book am I least looking forward to reading? Robin #163. This title hasn’t been terrible; it just hasn’t been anything that great. This title is running the risk of falling victim to The Revolution’s dreaded axe.

Which Marvel comic book am I most looking forward to reading? This is an easy choice. Moon Knight #11. Huston has been nothing short of phenomenal on this title. We are rapidly approaching the end of Huston’s run on Moon Knight. I fully expect a wild final two issues by Huston.

Which Marvel comic book am I least looking forward to reading? It comes down to Ghost Rider #12 and Amazing Spider-Man #541. Both titles have been less than impressive reads. However, there is probably no comic book currently on the market that is more horridly written than Ghost Rider. Way has managed to put forth one of the most pathetic efforts I have ever seen by a professional writer on a Marvel comic book.

I’ll try my best to start posting reviews as soon as possible. I hope everyone enjoys their new comic books for this week.

  1. I’m surprised you’re not getting the final issue of Flash: FMA; this is the issue where he gets sacrificed on the altar of editorial mismanagement.

  2. Flash: FMA is being cancelled with #13; the final cover is Bart in the arms of the Black Flash, so things aren’t looking good for him.

Next month, Mark Waid and Daniel Acuna bring us an “All-Flash #1” one-shot, followed by the same creative team on Flash v.4, starting with #231.

  3. I am actually betting on some time travel for Bart this issue, since they have said that JLA #10 will be part of the Flash storyline. Since the Legionnaires have to travel back to the 31st Century, it is not a stretch to think that Bart Allen could, too. Why is the Black Flash holding him? Dunno.

Also you are completely right about the current Robin, it kinda fell on it’s face a couple years ago and never got back up. That’s too bad, too, as there was once a time that all the Bat-books held up on their own pretty well and they could lace stories in and out of all of them. Maybe a new writer can reinvigorate it, but it’ll be tough.

Nice site you have here by the way. I have been coming by for a little while now, and I enjoy what I have read so far.
