Looks like more normal heavy load resumes this week with 13 titles headed to the Bunker today. It is a pretty even week between Marvel and DC. I’ll try to post as many reviews as possible.
Which DC comic book am I most looking forward to reading? This is a no-brainer. 52 #52. This incredible title finally comes to an end. I’m really going to miss 52. Though it did not deliver what DC initially promised, 52 was still one hell of a read. I have a feeling that this final issue of 52 is going to be a real showstopper.
Which DC comic book am I least looking forward to reading? That would be Superman #662. Busiek has really underachieved on this title. Superman has been a downright awful read over the past several issues. While Johns and Donner have been hitting home run after home run over on Action Comics, Busiek keeps striking out on Superman. If Superman doesn’t heat up real soon then this title is going to fall to The Revolution’s dreaded axe.
Which Marvel comic book am I most looking forward to reading? It comes down to Astonishing X-Men #21 and Iron Man #17. I’m going to have to go with Iron Man #17. The dramatic return of the Mandarin has really got me excited about this issue. The Knaufs have done an incredible job making Iron Man a quality read for the first time in a long while.
Which Marvel comic book am I least looking forward to reading? Ultimate Fantastic Four #41. This title has been average at best. If it doesn’t get its act together soon, then this title may also fall to The Revolution’s dreaded axe.
I’ll try my best to start posting reviews as soon as possible. Also, I’ll be doing a guest review of Incredible Hulk #106 over at the Legion of Doom. The guys over at the Legion of Doom put out one of the best comic book blogs on the internet. Come on by and check it out. I hope everyone enjoys their new comic books for this week.
