Things won’t be slowing down for BOOM! Studios Power Rangers franchise in 2024 as Darkest Hour will be heading into its next phase to begin the new year. To build even more excitement BOOM! Studios have provided us with early looks at textless pages from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #116 and Power Rangers Unlimited: The Morphin Masters to share. Both these Darkest Hour chapters, releasing in January 2024, have a theme of focusing on Coinless Universe’s Kimberly Hart as Ranger Slayer and Lord Drakkon.
In the first of the early look, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #116 we see Kimberly Hart and Tommy Oliver as Ranger Slayer and Lord Drakkon, respectively, having an emotional moment. Given the setting this appears to be taking place sometime after Lord Drakkon killed the Rita Repulsa of the Coinless Universe and before the events that would lead to Shattered Grid. This flashback could play into what is teased in the solicitation for Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #116:

Continuing the focus on the Ranger Slayer Kimberly Hart we also see her character as the focus for Power Rangers Unlimited: The Morphin Masters. The issue releasing on January 31, 2024, is being promoted as a comic book to read right after Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #116, which releases the week prior. This does seem to mean we will be seeing Ranger Slayer returning from her MIA status after she sacrificed herself to save her Drakkon Ranger teammates before Darkest Hour began. What role Ranger Slayer could play is teased in the solicitation for Power Rangers Unlimited: The Morphin Masters:
