All right, let’s go ahead and dish out The Revolution’s weekly awards.
The nominees for the Che for the best read of the week:
Green Lantern #39
Wolverine: Weapon X #1
The Winner: Green Lantern #39
Last Wednesday’s selection of comic books was mediocre. None of the issues were awful, but none of them were anything particularly exciting, either. The two best reads were Green Lantern #39 and Wolverine: Weapon X #1 both of which I have already reviewed. I went ahead and gave the Che to Green Lantern #39 because of its superior artwork and because its story had more depth than what we got with Wolverine: Weapon X #1.
And now the nominees for the Sequential Methadone Award for the worst read of the week:
Superman: World of New Krypton #2
The Winner: Superman: World of New Krypton #12
I went ahead and gave the Sequential Methadone Award to Superman: World of New Krypton #2. This was not an awful read, it was simply the weakest read in a week full of middling reads. I have already reviewed this title and am not going to re-hash everything here. Suffice it to say that I found this issue to be a rather uncreative and generic read. This is an editorial mandated story that has yet to exhibit any heart.
So congrats to Green Lantern #39 for winning The Che Award of the week and “congrats” to Superman: World of New Krypton #2 for winning the Sequential Methadone Award for the week.
