Weekly Comic Book Reviews For 4/22/26: Green Lantern #34GREEN LANTERN #34

CREATIVE TEAM

Writer: Jeremy Adams

Artist: IG Guara and Montos

Colorist: Romulo Fajardo Jr.

Letterer: Dave Sharpe

Green Lantern #34 shows signs that it will take time for the series to find its grove again. Splitting the series up between Kyle Rayner’s Earth adventures and Hal Jordan following cosmic adventures is a lot to follow. There is only so much time to give to each. That is nothing against the actual progress made, as Jeremy Adams writing for both Kyle and Hal is on point. IG Guara and Montos also do a great job giving each a unique flair while keeping a consistent look. As the series progresses it can find its flow going between what Kyle and Hal are doing separately.

Overall Rating: 6.5 Night Girls out of 10

Weekly Comic Book Reviews For 4/22/26: Rogue #4ROGUE #4

CREATIVE TEAM

Writer: Erica Schultz

Artist: Jim Towe

Colorist: Espen Grudetjern

Letterer: Ariana Maher

Rogue #4 does everything it needs to do to set-up a good finale for this mini-series. Erica Schultz and Jim Towe do this by giving a spotlight on Rogue’s physical powers as she does her thing. That does lead to some good action to get Rogue in the spot needed for the finale. Though because of that it runs into the typical penultimate chapter problem. That is, there isn’t much actual plot or character progress in the story. Hopefully the finale will be deliver on the promise set up by Rogue #4.

Overall Rating: 7 Night Girls out of 10

Weekly Comic Book Reviews For 4/22/26: Sorcerer Supreme #5SORCERER SUPREME #5

CREATIVE TEAM

Writer: Steve Orlando

Artist: Bernard Chang

Colorist: Ruth Redmond

Letterer: Joe Sabino

Steve Orlando and Bernard Chang have done a very good job at showing how heavy of a weight being the Sorcerer Supreme is on whoever holds the title. We see that in Sorcerer Supreme #5 where on top of dealing with Agatha’s connection with Vishanti, Scarlet Witch must answer a distress call from Clea. There is no rest for the Sorcerer Supreme and Scarlet Witch once again shows she steps up with the battle she has against Dread Dormammu. This latest adventure continues to solidify this series as one of the best titles Marvel is producing right now.

Overall Rating: 9 Night Girls out of 10

Weekly Comic Book Reviews For 4/22/26: Void Rivals #29VOID RIVALS #29

CREATIVE TEAM

Writer: Robert Kirkman

Artist: Andrei Bressan

Colorist: Dee Cunniffe

Letterer: Rus Wooton

Void Rivals #29 does a great job at feeling like everyone in this issue has thrown all their cards down on the table. There is no hiding anymore as every side in the Quintesson War have to do all they can in order to win. That puts everyone involved in difficult situations that creates a lot of tense moments through the final page. That all works to have an ending that leaves you wondering how the finale in the next issue will resolve everything that’s gone on in the Quintesson War.
