Writer: Joshua Williamson

Artist: Carmen Carnero and Jan Bazaldua

Colorist: Nolan Woodard

Joshua Williamson, Carmen Carnero, and Jan Bazaldua continue to nail how evil A.I.M. is under Madame Masque control. They are hitting on the classic villain organization tropes that make you want to see Tony Stark overcome. At the same time, they are a group you must take seriously as they are seemingly ready for, however Tony tries to counter them. By the last page Tony ends up in a position where you are left wondering how he’ll get out of A.I.M.’s latest tech.

Weekly Comic Book Reviews For 4/8/26: Neighborhood Watch #1NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH #1

CREATIVE TEAM

Writer: Sarah Gailey

Artist: Haining

Colorist: Rebecca Nalty

Letterer: Jodie Troutman

Neighborhood Watch #1 nails the weird sitcom chemistry of a close nit community. There are characters from all rangers of the spectrum from personality and background. The set-up tricks you into thinking the story will be one thing and swerve you by the end with a crazy murder mystery. It is exactly the kind of way you want to be hooked into wanting to read what happens next.

Weekly Comic Book Reviews For 4/8/26: Power Rangers Prime #16POWER RANGERS PRIME #16

CREATIVE TEAM

Writer: Melissa Flores

Artist: Federico Sorresa

Colorist: Joana Lafuente

Letterer: Ed Dukeshire

Power Rangers Prime #16 is as good of an ending as we could get with the series all things considered. There are many things that certainly feel rushed with how things resolve in a “happy ending” style by the end. But to Melissa Flores credit she makes sure that the way things are resolved stay true to the characters. Lauren Shiba once again shines as the thing holding things together even with her father and brother doing everything to pull her into a different direction. It ultimately shows how well the cast of Power Rangers Prime were built up to be satisfied by the results.

Artists: Freddie E. Williams II and Fero Pe

Colorists: Andrew Dalhouse and Luis Antonio Delgado

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #17 delivers a high-stakes, chaotic battle between the Turtles and Karai’s Foot Clan. All of the mystical elements add to the unpredictability of what developments we see here. Those developments add even greater intrigue for where Gene Luen Yang, Freddie E. Williams II, and Fero Pe plan to take this series next. Click here for the full review.

Weekly Comic Book Reviews For 4/8/26: Transformers #31TRANSFORMERS #31

CREATIVE TEAM

Writer: Robert Kirkman

Artist: Ludo Lullabi

Colorist: Mike Spicer

Letterer: Rus Wooton

Transformers #31 does a fantastic job providing even greater insight into what molded Megatron to be the character he is in the present day. The gladiator-like experience makes you understand but not excuse Megatron’s actions since returning. He has molded by a truly brutal experience that is not just from the Autobots vs Decepticons war. What this means for what will happen next with the Decepticons will be very interesting to see play out. Click here for the full review.

Things have constantly been moving for the both veteran and young teams that make up this Uncanny X-Men cast. Weekly Comic Book Reviews For 4/8/26: Uncanny X-Men 2026 AnnualUNCANNY X-MEN 2026 ANNUAL

CREATIVE TEAM

Writer: Gail Simone and Mikki Kendall

Artist: Francesco Motarino and Elisabetta D’Amico

Colorist: Mattia Iacono

Letterer: Clayton Cowles

Uncanny X-Men 2026 Annual delivers on exactly what you want from these annuals. We get a complete story that expands on the mythology the series has been addressing. Specifically, we get a deep dive into who the Regulators group was century before the current Uncanny X-Men squad took up residence in their current home. Adding Wolverine to the Regulators past helps to give a sense of familiarity to the group without Logan superseding their story. By the end you understand the Regulators as an important set of characters that is a reminder how long mutants have been fighting for their survival.
