The best way to sum up this mini-series is fun. The creators have put together a new heroine who is different from the average hero. Many of today’s heroes are driven by some tragedy in their past. It is refreshing to read about a new character who is from a good secret race who is looking to “rid the world of evil”. Wow. In this age, it is a return to one of the classic hero concepts.
In this issue we get the origin of Terra’s hidden race. I have always enjoyed stories about secret races. It is nice to see that this one is looking out for the good of the world.
My favorite part of this story was the last few pages. The interaction between Terra and Power Girl is priceless. I hope that Terra is part of the Power Girl series. Terra needs someone to introduce and help mentor her in the ways of the world. Power Girl is the big sister that Terra needs.
Highly recommended. I plan to look for other works by these creators. Conner is perfect at showing the characters’ thoughts by their expressions.

I’m glad to hear that DC will give Power Girl another series. Unfortunately DC has really messed with her and her history, making her everything from a second-rate overdeveloped Supergirl to a DC version of Namorita. Bringing Terra in could help, but again here’s someone who had her past messed with as well. If they wanted an all-girl superteam then the should have left the Birds of Prey intact.
I like the site, but there’s an evident DC bias. Unless it’s Captain America, no Marvel book gets over a 7. Not cool.
