I got the chance to make it up to the Pittsburgh Comicon this past weekend, and had the chance to ask Ghost Rider creater Gary Friedrich a few questions.
Me: So what are you working on nowadays?
Gary: I’m working on getting back into comics. I have a few really good ideas and I’m in the process of shopping them around to some editors. After taking such a long break from comics its tough getting back in. I just want the chance to prove that I still can write.
Me: That’s awesome, if you don’t mind me asking what are some of your ideas?
Gary: Haha sorry but I’m not telling at the moment, but hopefully within the next year you should know.
Me: Hopefully. I see you have some copies of the Ghost Rider movie on your table. Did you enjoy the movie?
Gary: It was ok. I thought the writing was too soft. Johnny needed to be tougher than he was portrayed in the movie. The story had some room for improvement as well. The special effects were good, but could have been better.
Me: Thank you Mr. Friedrich for your time, and I can’t wait to hear what new and exciting ideas you have come up with this time.
So be on the look out for Gary Friedrich throughout the next year. Hopefully he’ll be back on the comic scene soon.
