It looks like we have another large shipment of comic books headed to the Bunker today. This week isn’t as loco as last week, but 12 titles still is a pretty heavy week. This week is slightly heavier with DC titles than Marvel titles. As always, I’ll try to post as many reviews as possible.

Which DC comic book am I most looking forward to reading? It comes down to Justice Society of America #8 and Metal Men #1. JSA has been an incredible read and I love what Johns is doing with that title. However, I have been anxiously awaiting this Metal Men mini-series. So, I’m going to have to go with Metal Men #1. I think that this mini-series has the potential to be a fantastic read.

Which DC comic book am I least looking forward to reading? It is either Action Comics #843 or Detective Comics #835. Both titles are sporting guest writers and filler story arcs. That doesn’t bode well for the chances that I’m going to enjoy either title. I’m going to go with Detective Comics #835 as it appears that we are getting nothing but a generic two issue filler story. At least Action Comics #835 will deal with the Jimmy Olsen plotline from Countdown and I am digging that plotline.

Which Marvel comic book am I most looking forward to reading? This is an easy choice. It has to be Thor #2 hands down. JMS delivered a real gem with Thor #1. I fully expect Thor #2 to be another excellent read.

Which Marvel comic book am I least looking forward to reading? This is a pretty solid week from Marvel and I’m not really dreading any of these issues. However, I’m going to go with World War Hulk #3. So far this mini-series has been nothing more than a boring one-sided slugfest.

I’ll try my best to start posting reviews as soon as possible. I hope everyone enjoys their new comic books for this week.
