June was yet another big moment in the world of comic books. Over in DC we saw Batman and Catwoman take the next big step in their relationship. Meanwhile Secret Empire continues to wrap its tentacles around the entire Marvel Universe. What else did June have to bring? Find out with our breakdown of all the best comic book moments from June 2017.
All-Star Guardians Of The Galaxy #3
It’s never a bad time when we get to see what makes Gamora one of the biggest badass fighters in the Marvel Universe and this is just an example of that.
All-New Wolverine #21
Deadpool needs to hang out with Wolverine and Logan a little more because he has missed out on his favorite claw wielding friend’s life.
Amazing Spider-Man #29
Getting laughed out of the room by one of your greatest villain is not the confidence builder Spider-Man needed heading into his latest movie. Oh well, at least critics are loving Spider-Man: Homecoming.
Batgirl And The Birds Of Prey #11
This is a great way for the Birds Of Prey series to deal with how a person deals, or doesn’t deal, with a disability. A great character moment for Batgirl and builds the new Oracle to have more layers to his character.
The moment all Batman/Catwoman shippers has finally happened. Are we in store for the return of classic Earth-2 storylines, such as Helena Wayne, being introduced down the line in the main DC Universe?
The Riddler is certainly cutting deep by revealing the biggest secret Joker has in why he is so obsessed with Batman. Joker’s face is a look of unamusement, very unlike him.
Batman/Elmer Fudd Special #1
Whoever thought that the greatest challenge Batman would face this year would come from Elmer Fudd? This was definitely not the Elmer Fudd we see get punked out by Bugs Bunny in every appearance
Dark Days: The Forge #1
Batman sure hasn’t learned that keeping secrets from his friends never turns out well. Now he has extended his watchful eye to other universe. This is sure to blow up in his face like Brother Eye did back in the day.
Elektra looks absolutely badass in her video game inspired costume. That should be her new costume moving forward. At least she can hopefully keep the Dragon Ball Z-inspired scouter.
Hal Jordan And The Green Lantern Corps #23
Soranik dropping a pipe bomb-style promo on Kyle with all the truth that she is laying out on how much success she has had as the Sinestro Corps leader.
Iron Fist #4
Never can get enough of some good old Iron Fist martial arts action. Now if Marvel can just change his costume back to his iconic green version rather than this track suit looking one than the action would be even better,
See this is what you call character growth. It’s a magical thing that Dick Grayson is going through.
Old Man Logan #25
It’s been far too long since we got a good Wolverine vs Hulk fight. Good thing Old Man Logan can’t seem to escape the Hulk’s grasp for too long.
Secret Empire #4
Leave it to the new Hank Pym-Ultron hybrid to be the one that finally brings Captain America and the Underground Avenger together for a nice dinner.
Secret Empire #5
You wanted more of sign that Hydra Captain America is a big douchebag? Well here you go as he shows that he does not care if he has to threaten to smash Beast into a bloody pulp to get his goal across.
Super Sons #5
As we learn later in the issue, both Robin and Superboy take directly from their respective fathers in not getting along with the person that will be their best friend in the future. Like father, like son, as they say.
Is this a look at the future of the DC Universe or another look at the Multiverse?
Wally West and Donna Troy getting together was the last two people I thought would get together. From Roy Harper’s shocked expression he thought the same thing.
