ABSOLUTE WONDER WOMAN ANNUAL 2026
CREATIVE TEAM
Writer: Kelly Thompson
Artist: Mattia De Iulis
Letterer: Becca Carey
Absolute Wonder Woman Annual 2026 is the perfect encapsulation of why this is one of DC Comics best series right now. Kelly Thompson and Mattia De Iulis balance having a grand scale with all the mythology that Absolute Wonder Woman is in the middle of. As the reader you feel at home reading Diana of the Wild Isle interacting with so many different mythological characters. At the same time, it is never forgotten that Diana’s strength is her ability to connect with others. How that comes into play with the clash against Absolute Medusa drives home why this series is special.

BLOOD & THUNDER #10
CREATIVE TEAM
Writer: Benito Cereno
Artist: E.J. Su
Colorist: Msassyk
Letterer: Rus Wooton
Blood & Thunder #10 slows things down a bit to give us a character exploration chapter. We still get to see the cosmic scope of the story with the multiple locations we visit. But the action that dominated other issues in this series are not here. Instead we get a deep dive into who Blood is and learn more about her motivation. Learning more about Blood is something that was certainly needed. It helps connect the reader more to the lead of this series. What doors in the story that are opened from what we learn will be very interesting to see.

THE CENTER HOLDS #1
CREATIVE TEAM
Writer: Larry Hama
Artist: M.D. “Doc” Bright
Colorist: Josh Burcham
Letterer: Janice Chiang
From the writing to artwork The Center Holds #1 hits on all the old school superhero comic book nostalgia. There is a feeling of reading a classic with the way Larry Hama and M.D. “Doc” Bright pace this entire issue out. By creating this type of pacing you get to learn about the entire cast in the flow of the story. It works well with this being an introduction to a new superhero world that you learn as you go rather than getting a bunch of introductions. This gives you the sense of how The Center Holds takes place in an established world. Which works well to get you behind who the heroes and villains of the story are and what twists we get.

DC K.O. #4
CREATIVE TEAM
Writer: Scott Snyder (Main Story); Joshua Williamson (Interlude)
Artist: Javi Fernandez (Main Story); Xermanico (Interlude)
Colorist: Alejandro Sanchez
Letterer: Hassan Otsmane-Elhaou
DC K.O. #4 does its job at delivering an effective penultimate chapter. The first clash between the DC Universe and Absolute Universe not only carries but delivers on the potential of this happening. It all drove home the importance of the King Omega Tournament and why Darkseid is the endgame level threat of the multiverse. The ending hooks you to want to find out what will happen by the end of this event. Click here for the full review.

PLANET SHE-HULK #4
CREATIVE TEAM
Writer: Stephanie Phillips
Artist: Emilio Laiso
Colorist: Fabi Marques
Letterer: Joe Caramagna
Sakaar is nothing like Earth. That is a lesson that Jennifer Walters continues to learn with Planet She-Hulk #4. It is enough to use her long-term ex-boyfriend, Jack of Hearts, against her. That alone leaves She-Hulk conflicted, made even harder for us as the reader when we find out what’s happened to Jack of Hearts. Then you add in all of the warrior political that are taken by Korven Blackjaw and others that you can’t blame She-Hulk for how she reacts to everything. It all makes the action we get in Planet She-Hulk #4 have an extra impact that leads to an ending that hit on the shock value it was going for.
Overall Rating: 8 Night Girls out of 10
TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES #15
CREATIVE TEAM
Writer: Gene Luen Yang
Artist: Freddie E. Williams II
Colorist: Andrew Dalhouse
Letterer: Shawn Lee
The return of Splinter has much greater impact than just what is going on right now in the present day. That is something Gene Luen Yang and Freddie Williams drive home with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #15. Splinter’s return has much greater impact on the fate of every character in this series. The way that works alongside with how the Turtles react to having Splinter around keep you wanting to know more. The greater utilization of the mystic arts that this has all brought on has given a sense of this being a breath of fresh air. Its noting new to the franchise but the approach Yang and Williams are taking create a sense of unknown that’s exciting to see play out.
Overall Rating: 8.5 Night Girls out of 10
TRANSFORMERS #29
CREATIVE TEAM
Writer: Robert Kirkman
Artist: Dan Mora
Colorist: Sarah Stern
Letterer: Rus Wooton
Robert Kirkman, Dan Mora, and Sarah Stern are at the top of their game with Transformers #29. The non-stop action from the latest Autobot vs Decepticon battle is all done with a great sense of purpose. There is so much that goes on during this action-packed comic book that you can’t help be left excited for what will come out of the results. Click here to read the full review.
Overall Rating: 9.5 Night Girls out of 10
ULTIMATE X-MEN #24
CREATIVE TEAM
Writer & Artist: Peach Momoko
Script Adaptation: Zack Davisson
Letterer: Travis Lanham
Ultimate X-Men #24 concludes the series in the most unfulfilling way possible. There is this constant feeling of time running out. And it is not time running out for Maystorm and the X-Men saving Armor or something else with the plot progression. Instead, it is a feeling we won’t get a proper conclusion to the story that is confirmed with the “To Be Continued” way this issue ends. To Peach Momoko’s credit she does a great job at continuing to show why the cast of this series are all so likable. It just makes you wish that we could’ve gotten a satisfying conclusion to their two-year long story.
