October’s Blood & Thunder #18 will close out the latest story arc the series has been currently running. Along with the close of this long running story arc we will also be getting hints at what is to come next in the series by writer Benito Cereno and artist E.J. Su. Ahead of its October 14th release date Skybound and Image Comics have provided us with an early look at the upcoming comic book to share.
The current storyline has seen Blood and Thunder separated for a period, with Akeldama, aka Blood, being on the run as a fugitive. Akeldama recently got reunited with Thunder though her troubles as a fugitive on the run have not ended. They have only escalated. That appears to be something both will have to continue to deal with as hinted by the solicitation for Blood & Thunder #18:

Blood & Thunder is a high-octane sci-fi action epic set in the far future. Earth has integrated alien species into society, but this new order has brought new kinds of laws, crimes, and dangers. The story follows bounty hunter Akeldama “Blood” Bledsoe and her talking gun, Thunder, two of the galaxy’s best at tracking down the worst criminals.
