Salazar’s art blew me away in this issue. I went back and just stared at many of the pages in this book. The images of The Ghost’s plane and ‘Devil riding on the wing were out of this world. And the scenes of the Ghost plane flying through the villain’s base were excellent. Not many comics boast art like this.
Unfortunately, the story does not live up to the art. Casey wrote a good action adventure but does not put much else into the story. Like eating cotton candy, the story does not have much substance to it.
I would like to think that Casey did not want to write something that would distract from the art. Hopefully next issue will have more of a story to compliment Salazar’s art.
