March is coming to a close and it certainly left its mark on the industry. There were plenty of things that happened that set the stage for how the rest of the year will go for several comic books. From Dr. Manhattan taking on the entire DC Universe, more nightmarish adventures for Batman, Captain Marvel leading a rebellion a major shake-up in the TMNT Universe and much more. Let’s take a look at some of the biggest moments that took place in the comic book industry in March 2019.
AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #17

Spider-Man sure knows how to find the parties where he is the least popular person around.
AQUAMAN #46

If being King of Atlantis doesn’t work out anymore Aquaman could find a big career as a dragon rider. He just needs to find the Hidden World.
BATMAN #66

Batman pushing himself to fight the same threats Superman and Wonder Woman fight without hesitation shows that the vow he made is his super power.
BATMAN #67

Batman #67 may have been divisive but there is no question that Lee Weeks artwork throughout this issue was phenomenal. This is just an example of how phenomenal Weeks artwork was.
CAPTAIN MARVEL #3

Being an inspirational leader is what every good rebellion needs. Captain Marvel has easily adapted to filing that role of leader.
CATWOMAN #9

There’s an old saying “I’m not locked in here with you, you’re locked in here with me!” That is something that Catwoman is quickly going to teach these guys.
DAREDEVIL #3

Punisher is not person you want to wake up to being your nurse. Daredevil is going to learn that soon.
DETECTIVE COMICS #1000

There were a lot of great moments in Detective Comics #1000 but this one was my favorite. It did a great job of expanding at the start of Bruce Wayne and Dick Grayson’s father-son relationship. It also work to put over how Bruce learned from how he became Batman to make sure Dick got closure for his parents death in order to become the light to his darkness.
DOOMSDAY CLOCK #9

Dr. Manhattan is not someone the entire Justice League, Teen Titans, Titans and other teams can take on together. They need more of a Superman-size back up to even have a hope to survive.
FRIENDLY NEIGHBORHOOD SPIDER-MAN #4

This is just beautiful artwork from Juann Cabal. This entire issue was just filled with poster worthy pages and this is just one of them.
THE GREEN LANTERN #5

Hal Jordan’s life as a Green Lantern has never been easy. It has harden him to the point that it takes a lot to make him actually show any sign of fear.
GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY #3

To many people forget how badass Richard Rider is as Nova. That is something he can quickly remind everyone of when given the chance.
HEROES IN CRISIS #7

The best thing to come out of Heroes In Crisis has been the continued partnership of Batman and Flash. Seeing these two work together as detectives has been one of the most compelling partnerships in the current DC Universe era.
JUSTICE LEAGUE #19

Leave it to Superman to actually make Batman smile for once. It is his true ultimate super power.
JUSTICE LEAGUE #20

Scott Snyder is here to introduce the most iconic Robin of them all.
THE MAGNIFICENT MS. MARVEL #1

Ms. Marvel has certainly grown to be a very versatile with her powers and use it to maximize her own fighting style.
MARVELS ANNOTATED #2

Reed Richards and Sue Storm is still one of the most iconic moments in Marvel history. This will always bring a tear to my eyes.
SPIDER-GWEN: GHOST SPIDER #6

Spider-Gwen was the show stealer of Into the Spider-Verse so she knows what it means to be cool.
SPIDER-MAN: LIFE STORY #1

The evolution of Peter Parker and Flash Thompson’s relationship that went from being one of bully and bullied to best friends is one of the best long-term stories within Spider-Man’s history.
TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES #92

Pissing off Karai was the last thing Splinter and the Turtles should’ve done. Now she is going to bring a war that will make Shredder jealous all the way from Hell.
TRANSFORMERS #1

It was strange to see Optimus Prime and Megatron meet as friends. This certainly adds weight to how they become eternal rivals in the future.
UNCANNY X-MEN #13

It’s been interesting to see how Multiple Man’s duplication powers have evolved to the point he feels the death of each of his dupes. It is something that is unique to him and adds another level to what his power is.
UNCANNY X-MEN #14

Seeing the X-Men in their iconic costumes and Cyclops acting as a leader is so refreshing. Like it fills a big hole that has been empty for a decade plus.
YOUNG JUSTICE #3

Well this answers why Conner Kent was gone for so long. What’s in Superman’s genes that makes all his kids grow into adults overnight?
